When this first came on my now defunct local classic rock radio station back when it was first released. I was doing air guitar like an animal in my backyard because I thought this was so amazing. Fast forward nearly nine years and my dreams promised to me a gorgeous latina goddess named Eliana Delmyna Rubio and now I hear this song and just cry like a baby. God I love this song and my beloved Eliana Delmyna. She shall be MY HEAVEN ON EARTH!!! But only once (and if) I can save my mom from the chokehold of chronic illness. Yeah, sounds very Anakin Skywalker, but I despise the comparison. I can and will save her. Heroes don't always launch Kamehameha waves, I go outside and cry up to the sky each night begging for power to heal her, vowing not to misuse it. I feel it welling up, a hypernova in my soul. Who or whatever thinks they can stand in my way, back down now. I will make my mom's life heaven on earth, no matter what. Eliana Delmyna shall in turn one day walk from my dreams and into my arms. That will be the best heaven I could possibly imagine. Mom, sleep easy and Eliana, please don't cry. We shall lock into our eternal embrace soon. I can make that solemn promise.
I remember sitting in the third row from the stage at the Third Stage tour in Phila Pa I've seen there first tour at a NJ University, I've seen them 9 times and I have been a straight fan yet this new CD has me like what happened ??? Brad may be gone but Tom S is like hurt his head this song sounds so much like true Boston yet sluggish Life Love & Hope is a good tune too but Tom S Guitar is sleeping on this CD He Is the Best point please release a new CD with 12 new song and Give Us Boston not Boston 2.0 these guys are hands down the best group live out there
I love it--imperfections and all. Good guitar chops, drums absent, good vocal work, and the melodies and harmonies you love and expect. Could be remixed to improve it, but I went ahead and paid more than I ever have to get any CD, so that I can have this one. That's how much I love this band.
I'm guessing that these are programmed drums. On the credits it says Tom Schultz keyboards, but it could be keyboard drums. Whatever it is, it isn't real. I would prefer he use a real drummer.
The drum track killed any chance this had of being a radio hit, which is surely what Tom Scholz hoped for. Great song though...but holy shit that drum sound is embarassing
Also Louis St. August, because Scholz made a change at one point, and didn't want to fly Victor back out to record the new part, especially not knowing if that part would work with Victor's voice comfortably.
Need more Boston. I hope they release a new album before 2025.

Def Leppard like background vocals in a couple of spots. Think they were studying up on their Mutt Lange. They never used to sound like that.

I wouldn't think he held hope for that in the modern era, but maybe.
It's not even a very good sounding drum machine. Great song, but surely Tom can afford better drum tones than that.
