I was so empty and tired in emotion in the past 2 weeks ... I also pray to God to let me end even though I already have knew a lot of Bible, I still feel like that ! And today this sermon save my life ... when I was watching this video, my best church friend called me, pray for me and hang out with me ! I knew that's God's love !!! I'm going to church and service ppl again tmr ! Thank you Lord
Very helpful practical Christianity. Additional thought.... (Speaking as a Christian who is going through a hard time) When we are in a bad situation we tend to take our eyes off Jesus and focus on the problem, like Elijah, and like Peter who, when waking on water towards Jesus took his eyes off Jesus when hit by a black cold wave from the stormy sea he was walking over. He sank into the deadly wave that he focused on. But our loving God lifted Peter out, He lifted Elijah out, He lifted me out, and He will also lift you out! Glory to God.
This is what I am going through right now. I have a job that is making me unhappy (not that I don't like what I am doing) but rather the people I have to work with, fighting to gain power, criticism, blaming games, etc. This make me frustrated and I realize myself begins to complain more, gossip, venting my temper out at work when things failed, etc etc.. I was ashamed of myself because I need to borrow money from my mum to settle part of my debts (I am supposed to feed my aged parents) I have no interest in doing anything, I have few closed friends but I rather keep myself alone by staying at home...ended a toxic relationship 6 months ago...God took away my pain but right now I am like walking in an empty land. I go to church, listen to worship songs, pray, etc...I asked myself what is the purpose of my life, earthly stuff is making me so so drained up
