Highlights: Iowa State 86, Kansas 81

The No. 11 Iowa State Cyclones were pitted against the No. 9 Kansas Jayhawks in a matchup for early superiority in the rugged Big 12 Conference. The perfect day was sealed with an 86-81 victory for the Cyclones, their 15th win over a ranked opponent in the last three seasons. Six Cyclones scored in double figures, led by Naz Long’s 20 points. Monte’ Morris registered 11 points and 10 assists en route to his first career double-double.
