- Yes, Hilton Magic is alive and well. In one of its most miraculous comebacks in school history, No. 17 Iowa State (21-8, 11-6 Big 12) bounced back from a 21-point second-half deficit to defeat No. 15 Oklahoma (20-9, 11-6 Big 12), 77-70 Monday night in Hilton Coliseum.

I’m a Texas Tech fan, and I went to the Hilton in 2019. I was very impressed by the atmosphere. Iowa State fans had one of the best zero to 100 ramp ups that I’ve ever heard. They go from dead quite to ear splitting in 1 second.

That was the greatest half of college basketball that I have ever witnessed in my life. Unbelievable comeback by this team that goes to show that Iowa State is never out of a game until the clock hits 0.0. Congratulations to Hogue, Dejean-Jones, Edozie, and all the other seniors honored that night for your time and commitment to Iowa State.

I was at Hilton for Melvin Ejim’s 48, but that was nowhere near as loud as this game. This video never gets old and I still get goosebumps every time I watch it.

What a game! Looks like the boys drank a mana potion and used some Hilton Magic. Great win, great momentum, and a great way to cap off a few great careers at Hilton Coliseum.

I was in my dorm at Loras college sophomore year watching this on my 18 inch monitor when I decided to hit the college gym at halftime cuz I was so sad. I ended up standing next to the treadmill the entire second half watching and fist pumping. With 2 other cyclone fans

In my top five “Hilton Magic” games. I was at the game that started the magic when Barry Stevens hit the game winning shot against #2 Missouri. That was loud. Then the overtime game against Okie State when the floor was shaking during free throws that they missed and time ran out. Okie state was ranked 2nd then, also. Then beating Kansas 5 games in a row with Grayer, Hornacek and company. Danny Manning never won @ Hilton. Neither did Larry Brown. And, then this game.
I'm coming back to this cause I was at this game and youtube knows I want to see it again.

One of my favorite cyclone games ever. My word seeing this now makes me mad with where the program/team is and is heading now looking at last years team underperforming with so much talent and this years team just abysmal. Hopefully better days are ahead.

Steve Prohm has sucked the life from the ISU basketball program. We need Hoiberg back. I almost hope Nebraska lets him go and ISU fires Prohm so that can happen. For now it looks like Matt Campbell is the new mayor in Ames.

I really hope Campbell doesn’t make the same mistake Hoiberg did in leaving Ames. He would never have had to buy himself a drink again in Ames, but he left and now he’s losing at Nebraska.

Well, I've said it before, and I'm gonna say it again. I'll change the wording a little. What's it going to take for ou to fire Kruger? I was listening to 98.1 the Sports Animal on the way home the other day and a fan called in and mentioned how, ever since that final 4 where ou just got thoroughly manhandled and then some; since then, he said Kruger is 20 wins below .500. Jim Traber made the comment that ou would probably have to miss the ncaa tourament 2 or 3 years in a row. That makes sense. This world has become too tolerant a place.
Let me add this. Maybe ou will lose their last 6 conference games, finish 6-12, and miss the tournament. Then Kruger's hot seat will get a little bit warmer. It has been warm for a while.

@@brantphillips9133 yes...the lighting is terrible now and it just looks sleepy in there. I despise the new lighting and how dark it looks. I remember watching games on tv and the whole arena was well-lit and it really popped on screen. Now, it looks like a damn theater & not a Coliseum.
