If you come across braised pork intestine with sweet, sour and hot sauce around this area, give it a try, you will love it.

I used to walk those streets as a young men in the sixties & the buildings looks the same now as it was then. I am surprised they are a still standing & there were no food stalls then & the streets were less crowded. Now a car can barely squeeze through. I wonder why there are no city ordinances against running business on the streets. In case of fire there is no way fire trucks or ambulances can make it through & lots of people will die.

You are right. But, this phenomenon is seen everywhere. If any fire accident occurs then everyone comes to senses and start advising something phenomenal (incl. the Govt.) to avoid accidents in nature.

This is Chinatown, not everyone is Chinese. Myanmar is a ethnically diverse country made up of 135 different ethnic groups. The dominant group being the Tibeto-Burmese/Burman people who came into contact with the pre-historic Pyu civilisation that first existed in ancient Myanmar. They were also a Tibeto ethnic group whose culture was very humane/gentle the people did not use silk (in case they have to kill silkworm to get silk) but cotton and ate out of fine pure golden plates, spoon , cups etc. They were influenced by the Mon Khmer (another ethnic group of Southern Myanmar that arrived around the same time as the Pyu) in terms of religious beliefs (i.e. Theravada Buddhism) from missionaries that came in from Sri Lanka. You need to first visit Myanmar to see it for yourself.
