Four out of ten Americans believe we are living in the end times, a topic often misunderstood, sensationalized, or ignored altogether. Next to the topic of faith itself, the theme of the second coming dominates the Scriptures, and as believers, there are aspects of our future we can be certain of-the prophecies of Scripture will be fulfilled. In this message, Skip Heitzig encourages us to prepare our hearts for Jesus’ return as we see “the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:8) in the world around us.

I first came across one of your sermons accidentally on UA-cam, and I thank God I'm now your regular listeners for my daily edifications, encouragement, and warnings which we all needed.

Christ has already came in 70ad, He was sent to the Jew's and accomplished what it was the father had sent him for. He (Christ) will not be coming again this he done in 70ad. You either believe Christ lives within you or he doesn't, he is not of this world yet, thousands want to make his kingdom part of this world when he is not.... wake up they (pastors) have all lied to the hordes of people and taken their money falsely claiming that Christ is still to come, stop listening to these pastors and read the scriptures for yourselves and learn the truth...

Calvary Church is really blessed to have this wise man as its pastor. I really like listening to Skip's sermons living about 500 miles away. Nothing is overdramatic or sensationalized, the sermons are matter of fact, yet grab your attention and hold it, the analogies are truly fitting, scripture is always followed to the letter.

What an amazing sermon. And, I loved the Thanksgiving/Rapture analogy at the end. I honestly think if more pastors taught like this, there wouldn't be so much fear and confusion among Christians.
Many live in Caves or Other Countries Don't Know Thanksgiving or that It's Coming, but here We Know when Thanksgiving is Coming, It's After Halloween and Many can hardly wait, Just Like The Rapture, After 1948, We Know between Now and 2068 We Will meet The Lord in The Air

This update encourages me so much. 🎉. Before this teaching, I watched the first installment of the recent Bible prophecy series and was left a bit disappointed because I did not sense any urgency in the teaching “we’ve been in the end times for 2,000 years…” BUT THIS UPDATE makes me so proud of my Pastor Skip Heitzig - hoping the next installments of the prophecy series will continue to communicate this urgency. We surely are in the “end of the end of the end days” and I’m so glad my pastor is speaking of it as I usually supplement with Pastor Jack Hibbs and Pastor JD Farrag for prophecy updates. The old testament saints receive a literal, physical kingdom of heaven, church saints go to the Kingdom of God which is a spiritual kingdom. There is no purpose and function for procreation because God is done with the restoration of all things. This is for question 1

Matthew 22/23-30: Sadducees Ask About the Resurrection
Next a group of Sadducees came to Jesus with a question. According to the law of Moses, if a man died childless, his brother was to have a temporary marital relationship with the widow for the purpose of producing an heir (Deuteronomy 25:5-6). The question put by the Sadducees concerned an unlikely situation where a widow would meet seven husbands, all brothers, in the resurrection. Since Sadducees did not believe in any form of life after death, their question was intended to make fun of Jesus and the doctrine of the resurrection.
• Luke 20:34-36: Jesus said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
• In Matthew 22:30 Jesus says that there will be no marriage in heaven because we “will be like the angels in heaven.” This verse states that angels do not marry, but it stops short of commenting on their “gender.” Nothing in Jesus’ statement can be taken to imply that angels are masculine, feminine, or neuter.
Jesus says that there will be no marriage in heaven but. So, You and your spouse love each other and live together on earth and can be said to be true believers in Christ. If they go to heaven, they don't need to remarry. They don't need to create new children.
Furthermore, Jesus says that there will be no marriage in heaven. It clearly informs us that there will be marriages on earth. That means there will be marriages even during the 1000-year reign of Lord Jesus Christ. No doubt.

No your are wrong. Jesus has not retrieved the church prior to his arrival. The bible says when he returns the dead in Christ shall rise first then we which are alive & REMAIN shall meet the Lord in the air. Those who are still alive & remain after the tribulation ends will meet the Lord in the air & descend with to him to earth at the last trumpet sound, we do not go to heaven at this point

Heaven and earth passing away is a reference to the passing of the old covenant. The universe is not limited or passing away....it IS unending.
God is unending but His creation will pass away. Read the descriptions in Revelation of the heavens rolling up like a scroll, sun and moon not giving light, earthquakes that move every mountain out of place...

no such thing as a rapture though many try to convince there is a reason for one. Christ came in 70ad and set up the new covenant with Christ not the one from the law of Moses. Christ lives within us, he does not need to come back to earth to save anyone. We whom are born again in the spirit already have Christ living within us. We know the Lord and ways.
I don't want to speak for Pastor Skip, but I would wager he is referring to the "myth" that this idea of rapture is a new idea that has developed over the last 100 years, or so. That's the common argument you hear from the uninformed secular world or preterists these days. The truth is, a pre-tribulation rapture was what was taught by the 1st and 2nd century church fathers.
Pastor skip, I have come across something that has intrigued me. In Matthew 24:9 after speaking about wars, famines and earthquakes Jesus says “THEN you will be handed over to be persecuted..” however in Luke 21:12 after speaking of the same thing Jesus says “But BEFORE all this, they will seize you and persecute you”
Could this be accredited to the fact the Matthew is written to a Jewish audience while Luke is written to Gentiles? So gentiles will be persecuted first, and born again Jews will be persecuted after the tribulation starts. Maybe pointing to the 144,000 of revelation? Mark does not mention this at all in his gospel.

1) When Jesus prayed that prayer He was submitting Himself to be obedient to the Father, not a change of earthly leadership.
