I accepted Jesus in my life but I recently moved away from the sinful things I used to do… going to church and reading the Bible is not enough. You must live it.. don’t ever believe that you can go on sinning and get to heaven . Hi it sounds like you are struggling. It sounds that you have repented and Jesus covers your sins plus you asked Jesus to be your Savior. You can’t loose your salvation. You should have the Holy Spirit convicting you to turn from sin. If you slip up, ask forgiveness right away and your sins will throw them as far from east to west. My pastor, Pastor Lon Solomon got saved through seeing a man who faithfully showed up every Saturday in Chapel Hill NC.
As far as he knows, he is the only person who was saved as a result of this faithful man of God.
But later on, sell of his family members got saved, and Pastor Solomon preached God's word to thousands every Sunday. Many people were saved through his ministry.
You never know how God can use you until you ask Him to use you.

Many of my favorite pastors hold to a different view of eschatology. John MacArthur is pretrib, R.C. Sproul was post-trib and Voddie Baucham is Amil. I find pretrib eschatology to be the most sound, biblical and reasonable. I have studied eschatology a fair amount and pretrib is the only one that really makes sense to be. Whenever I have listened to sermons/lectures on post-trib and Amil, they sound really good, but I feel great confusion and it almost upends everything I've known and believe about our role and the future of the church. Even though there is biblical evidence to support all three accepted views of eschatology, I just can't get onboard with the Post and Amil views. They just don't sit right with me and what I know the bible to say overall.
I'm still learning eschatology and probably will for the rest of my life. The fact that there are 3 mainstream views that are all accepted, but no one can agree on which one is the proper interpretation drives me crazy lol. And therefore I must dig deeper. I will continue to learn, but I'm not gonna force myself to believe something that I'm not convinced of yet. God will have to enlighten me or send me a pastor who can convince me otherwise. So I'll just stick with the premil view, continue to live for the Lord and share the gospel. Praise God that our salvation is not contingent on our views of eschatology. Otherwise two-thirds of us would be in trouble. Because only one of them can be correct.

@penelope lucas Odd enough to get this response while I am watching a sermon from Jeff Durbin on postmillenialism. I've been praying for discernment and asking God to show me which view is the correct one. I've spent the past three weeks listening to R.C. Sproul, Jeff Durbin, and Doug Wilson all defend the postmill view, and it has been quite eye-opening. Jeff has really made me think twice about the postmill view. I'm not fully on board yet, but definitely feeling more encouraged and it is really beginning to make sense. I'm digging in deep. I'm grateful God is patient and merciful and gracious with us.

Revelation 4 v 1 is the rapture as the church is not mentioned again while God's wrath is poured out on the earth through the tribulation period. "The end" that pastor skip is talking about is not the ultimate end days that we're in now. In second temple eschatology the Jews were looking for the messiah, for the end of exile and for God to return to the temple. They weren't looking for the end of days as we are. So, "the last days" we hope for and look forward to isn't what they looked for. The end of days for them was fulfilled in Jesus. The end of their exile, the forgiveness of sin, God returning to his temple, all completed in Christ.

As the world was judged by flood it will be judged again by the Lord who must intervene to bring an end to the rule of the enemy and to bring in the millennial rule and reign of Jesus. The prophets often gave a near future fulfilment and a longer term prophetic fulfilment. We are approaching the end of this age. It's absolutely amazing to me that you can't see that.

There is no pre trib rapture it's a false teaching. We go through the tribulation and Jesus returns after the tribulation on the clouds with his angles and everyone will see him return. He will gather his people the righteous dead and those who are alive and believe at the last trumpet after the tribulation. No where in the bible does it talk about a pre trib rapture. There are things that have to happen before the return of christ. The 3rd temple needs to be built The sacrifices need to start and then be stopped. The Bible tells us we won't know the day or hour but we will know the season. The 3rd temple needs to be built The sacrifices need to be stopped The man of predition needs to stand in the temple and claim he is god. We are not there yet. People need read the Bible for themselves and then they will know when someone is not speaking the truth. The pre trib rapture is a false teaching. Jesus said he would return after the tribulation at the last trumpet That is when the 1st resurrection will happen (snd there are only 2) one for the righteous and after Jesus reigning for 1000 years the 2nd resurrection of the wicked will happen. At the time of the 1st resurrection of the righteous dead those who are alive and believe will be caught up with them and all of this happens after the tribulation at the last trumpet.

I have never understood how they know whether or not the groundhog sees his shadow. He doesn't say much. Perhaps they might revert to an ancient method of priests and prophets, cut out the groundhog's organs to "read" them. At least the appearance of the liver is far more objective than reliance on the opinion of the current priests as to whether the groundhog saw his shadow. But I suspect there might be protests by various groups. But it would present a more honest taste of reality. But, hey, why not change the tradition to analysis of the organs of a chicken, one who already had an appointment with a supermarket? No, that won't work; the current generation believes that those chickens that they eat actually have their deathless origins in the store cooler, already in plastic.

You are missing the point entirely. It is not about denomination it is about following the true and living God and giving your heart and life to Him not a church. It is having a personal relationship with Jesus and serving Him. You will not find that biblical truth in the teachings of the Catholic Church. They never teach you that Jesus saves you from Hell if you ask him into your heart and give Him your life and follow and serve Him as fruits of your salvation. I know because I was raised Catholic but found Jesus Christ and His gift of salvation trusting only in Him through faith alone, through grace alone, through Christ alone. I know where Skip stands on pre-Tribulation rapture vs other latter points in time, but there is a very eloquent and poignant video arguing Post-Tribulation. Its from YT channel FAI Studios and the title is "4 Reasons We Don't Believe In A Pretribulation Rapture." Am curious if anyone knows who the guy is (Dalton Thomas) or if they've seen the 22min video. And yes, he uses Scriptural evidence and verses to explain the viewpoint. I listened to that one (FAI) several times, as well as other teachers & preachers who are equally convinced of post-trib. Despite having been saved for 62 years and loving Jesus the whole time, reading and studying the Word well enough to let it guide my life, as well as teach it, I could not understand the basis for the belief in post-trib. So now, I'm very happy as I wait for, yearn for His glorious appearing, rather than MoB, one world gov, economy and religion. Hi there I have always been a post trib person from the 1st time I read the Bible over 40 years ago now and very few people had that opinion so I kept it to myself (and could not be budged from it) because as far as I was concerned that is what the Bible says. Then I was told about the FAI guys and I so happy to hear what they had to say. I'm not sure about some of the things they think but on what God says in the bible they are 100% on point. They are not twisting anything they are taking God's word for what it says and I praise God that more and more people are seeing the truth that we go through the great tribulation and that Jesus will return after the tribulation at the last trumpet. None of this secret rapture or the tribulation saints rubbish...because that is a load of horse manure. We go through the tribulation and the Exodus is an example of how God will work just like the God against the Pharoah.

If anyone teaches that Christ's return is pre tribulation then they are a false teacher. Jesus himself said he would return after the tribulation at the last trumpet and THEN the 1st resurrection will happen and those who are alive and believe will gather with them. I mean how can you say that there will be a pre trib rapture when Jesus tells us when and how. These teachers who keep saying that Christians don't go through the tribulation are lying to you. They are twisting scripture they are forcing a false narrative and trying so hard to make things fit that lie.
