Good morning you lovely people!! Studland is an amazing beach. I and my wife have spent many days here. From blazing hot to sudden thunderstorms. Just laying there, listening to the waves and taking in the view (like "Old Harry's Rocks") was so relaxing. Many happy memories ❤❤
Frankly as a Brit, given our very limited number of naturist beaches, and our sometimes fickle summer weather, I'd rather take a break in Spain, where sun is more or less garanteed and you're spoilt for choice of naturist beaches 😊😊😊
Yup, you have to get there early! Studland is a couple of hours away from where we live, and the roads in the area tend to get very busy on sunny days. So whenever we want to spend a day or more at Studland, we go to a campsite nearby, and then it's easy to get to the beach in time for a good parking spot. And, just to mention, there is actually a nudist camp site close to Studland Beach! Studland Summer Camp is only open for the high season, but it's so worth staying there - the most social and relaxed camp site I have ever seen. The owner is organizing campfires every night for everyone to come gather around naked and have a beer or wine. I love it.
Sorry, that's not accurate. I've been going there for years and even on the busiest days in the height of summer you can always park somewhere along the long road that goes from Studland village to the chain ferry. It might be a 30 minute walk but you can always park, for free, then walk up the road or along the track next to the road and then down the path leading to the centre part of the beach. Trust me on that and try again. You'll love it!
Hi guys, great videos. hearing your views on how nice the views and nature are ,we British tend to take it for granted and not appropriate it . About 3 months ago I started walking/ hiking 5 to 10 miles at a time in the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire countryside completely naked, in that time I've encountered a lot of people and normal get greeted with a smile and a cheerful greeting male or female with only one man getting upset because I was naked and voicing his opinion. The only time I cover up is when I go through a village or walk down a main road. Live free, go naked.
It's very easy to take your backyard for granted. Whenever we're in Belgium, we love taking friends from other parts of the world on a tour of our city, because their fresh eyes help us see things we've never seen before even though we must have passed by a million times.
As a uk naturist, ive visited many normal beaches. Never had any issues. As long as you are not stupid and keep yourself to yourself its absolute fine.
Speaking as a Brit, we are a bit of a dichotomy. For many, naturism is accepted so long as it is behind a big hedge / wall or in a designated space. There are still a lot of people who are massively prudish about the human body and can't accept exposed body parts, usually on the grounds of "Won't somebody think of the children!!" You alluded to it all in your walk up the Tor; in that area of the UK you come across more free spirited folk who are more accepting of the naturally naked body, but if you go to some areas further north in England and you'll definitely find more prudes than nudes. Thankfully there have been recent improvements in attitudes, some of it from the good work of the likes of Michael and Fiona, and also the Berriman's excellent work on TV/radio as well as social media, but also some better coverage by British Naturism over recent years. Lockdowns were also a great opportunity for people to simply stay home and not get dressed (other than for work calls of course) and so more people nowadays are more comfortable with their own naked body and of others. For me, naturism as a "thing" really hit my radar back in the 80s, but if you'd spoken to many at the time it was allegedly a space full of deviants and the mentally unwell. Fast forward to now and we're definitely in a better place however there are still many who have failed to move with the times. Speaking from personal experience here but as someone who participated in WNBR 2022 I did notice loud comments coming from some of the public on the paths of "put some clothes on!" from people that we rode past and so this shows that there's still work to be done.
Really interesting thoughts and we totally agree. If you look at the LGBTQ community, half a century ago they also had to hide behind huge fences and look at where they've come now. Of course, they also still suffer harassment, but at least in most places they can be quite open about it. We hope that nudity will take a similar road and this will be largely thanks to people like Michael and Fiona who are willing to go in the frontlines.
@@NakedWanderings I think there's certainly still some work to do with upending years of negative press. Even now in certain parts of the mainstream media you'll see the naturist community being made the butt (no pun intended!) of bad taste jokes. It's almost as though Carry On Camping is still the go-to for the British mental attitude on how to deal with the naked body. Thankfully the excellent work that the likes of Michael and Fiona do then this will help towards progressing things more favourably into the 21st Century, but sadly we have an island mentality and so this means that we tend to be harder to persuade to look at the world with more open eyes. We need more couples (and local ladies to put their heads above the parapets (like the excellent work Angela does with her own content)) to continue the process of changing minds. I have done X previously myself as a means to promote this way of life, but as a single guy it is incredibly difficult to overcome the discrimination that comes with this relationship status.
You don't often see Taddiford car park as busy as that and It's not unusual to have the entire naturist stretch to yourself. The cliffs are a bit unstable there though, and every winter brings storms that re-arrange the beach, sometimes exposing old WW2 metalwork. It's a lovely spot at low tide on a summer evening.
There's an annual mass skinny dip in the north east of England every September, that gets around 1,200 participants and raises money for charity. I did it this year. Fun, but the water is very cold.
When you mentioned about clothed people walking past on the beach and not appearing to be offended, that reminded me of the two nude beaches we have here in Perth, Western Australia. Non nudist people walk along the waters edge on both beaches. Mostly they walk dogs. And they all know that they’re on a nude beach and so they don’t worry about the nude people around them. I have walked along the waters edge many times fully nude and said hello to non nudists as I passed them and they just say hello back to me and keep walking.
In the end, the more non-naturist people who get to see what naturism is really about, the more they will feel positive about. They may not all join, but they won't be against it

A very nice video. I really enjoyed seeing the beaches and it is excellent that nudity is legal, and tolerated, in the UK. Here in Canada, the laws are vague and open to interpretation and misuse. It is unlikely that someone would be faced with legal charges for simple nudity, but persecution by the police and some individuals, is certainly possible. A recent study reported that more than half of the population would accept nudity on beaches, but the legal system is archaic and slow to change. I truly wish that nudity would become legal on beaches, hiking trails, and backyards, etc.
In the UK, similar to Spain and Denmark, there were never laws against nudity. This makes it easier to maintain the status quo. We don't know about the situation in Canada, if there are strict anti-nudity laws, it may be hard to reverse them. If the laws speak about public indecency, it could be possible to get naturism excluded from that.
One of the first times I was in the UK was for a job interview at Cambridge University. And when one of the hosts cycled to a college with me for lunch we were behind a completely naked guy riding a bicycle through town. Just like that. My host was very embarrassed and apologetic, but for me this was the moment where I knew I could live in this country. 😀
How I wish we had such laws. I drive 1100 miles to go to a clothing optional beach in Florida weather permitting. It is an ordeal that I venture three or four times each winter. The naturist clubs in my area are expensive for my budget and discourage single males. They charge a single male more than a couple and more than a single female. Plus you have to call ahead and interview. I have not found an informal place in the three years I have been looking and I do not want to get arrested trying on my own. The laws here are not good. It really sucks to be here but I cannot afford to move to Florida. Even there there are only four beaches that are actually legal.
We think that it's largely thanks to organisations like British Naturism that this is possible in the UK. You might want to encourage your local nudist federation to take some steps :-)

@@NakedWanderings not wanting to strip off at Glastonbury Tor.
If we are not prudes then why do we block body parts
Because otherwise UA-cam kicks us out
Who’s the prude then?
beautiful.👍👍❤️
Thank you!
Have you seen them, it's like a jar of mayonnaise
🤣
I don't get it :-)

@@NakedWanderings they are so white
August is actually a main holiday month in the UK so no wonder there are a lot of people on their holidays. But we wonder why you haven't been arrested for provoking these prodish locals with your nudist pranks! 😁
It’s legal. No one looked provoked. Pranks?
@@stevephillips1635formarly, yes, but I wouldn't be so sure. I've been to Littlehampton in Sussex (where future James Bond served during WW2) and had an idea to skinny dip. But when I looked for some naturist beach on internet I have come to a warning against it as local police has arrested nudists there few times so it was better to go to Brighton were nudist beach is official and legal. 😢
@@stevephillips1635how would you call nudists on the hill pranking poor tourists who are unaware of local traditions? 😂
It's not illegal to be naked in the UK and the police can't arrest you for it. But, of course, they can come up with reasons like "disturbing the public order". Glastonbury Tor was well picked as a location and we're aware that we shouldn't do this everywhere in the UK
@@NakedWanderings it's hard to argue with an uniformed police officer while being nude, you know. 😁
Last time I was on the Tor, I was wearing a Sheepskin coat ... and boy did you need it !
Yeah, we seem to have picked a really good day :-D

Try that in the US. You will be in prison.
You have to pick your spots. We’ve hiked naked on the Pacific Crest Trail in California too
@@NakedWanderings Ok if you like, how about try that in 99% of the US and you will be arrested.
I know why naturism went on decline in the 90s the end of the Cold War this revival is happening do to the environment and health
That could well be
