- Mediocre video quality (640p X 360p). I have an alternate version of this same video up at my main Hermescat yt channel. That one has improved video quality (854p X 480p) and I believe the playback on the 480p one is less choppy than in this 360p one. The audio and video imagery was a tiny bit out-of-sync on the 854 x 480p one, but as of June 9, 2019, I've repaired that out-of-synch problem. This 360p version was the only I had up anywhere on yt from April 2018 when i first upped it to my other yt channel , to March 2019. Then I came across the improved video quality 480p one. I deleted the 360p one that had been up for a year and replaced it with the 480p one at my other channel (the channel called Hermesacat. This secondary channel here is called Heremesacat2). Due to the slight out-of-sync-ness on the 480p one, I decided to re-up this 360p in-sync one here at my Hermesacat2 channel, so people can still see this 360p one if they want. @@EarthMagicBrno Sorry to hear that ... singing live is an artform all in itself ... it takes a different set of balls to go out there and sing intimate lyrics that were probably meant for someone's personal diary or feelings.
The way Hope allows her voice slip slightly above and below the notes is outstanding! Always sounds like controlled loss of control, amazing!

Laugh at me but I just discovered hope about 6 months ago even tho I'm 63... about 6 years older then her.i love fade to you and listen to it every day... I'm so impressed her voice is just as good as mid 90s and she still is gorgeous...what I would give to be able to sit and talk with her for an hour... I wouldn't laugh at you I am 65 and just discovered Hope and Mazzy Star less than a month ago. And have been obsessed ever since. I listen to Into Dust every day. Especially like the MTV video of it in the blue light. Hope and David were such a great musical match. I love Hope already! Whether in the 90's or like this still performing with David.

I was in my 40’s in the illuminated 90’s. In her concert in ‘94, I see some faces that were my age along with genX faces. Hope is universally a v bright ⭐️

This over 10 years ago, her partner Dave died but an Austrialian tour interview included them both, from 2017 or so
I came here to listen to Hope's amazingly ethereal vocals. Not disappointed.
No one ever sings harmony with Hope. She is in her own parallel universe or something and it would ruin it. She still has it! Wonderful. I think the sound is fine.
The words don't exist to express how hard I fell for Hope in the nineties. I already had a thing for short brunettes, but my lord, she was such an angel. I've seen her live probably a dozen times over the years, and every time, my heart still flutters when she takes the stage. It keeps me sorta young...

Critics ate her alive for playing in the dark
Not the ones worth reading. She got several raving reviews in musicians magazines (the only once worth reading indeed). She played in the dark because she was shy about herself. And didn't want to distract with her appearance. A mission destined to fail.

Turned 24 just over 2 weeks ago and would never have associated myself with this genre music. Not to spite it at all, it’s only because I’ve ever been exposed to it; throughout my life, I gravitated towards rap, hip-hop, jazz-soul, R&B, and afrobeats. However, Hope has undeniably introduced me to a new found love for her music and Mazzy Star. Her voice is Ethereally profound in such a way that captivates you, almost as if I’m time travelling in cloud 9. There’s this indescribable euphoria I feel since I’ve come across her voice.
One thing that has become apparent to me is if it wasn’t for my love for Rick and Morty, I would never know about them. It seems as though Mazzy Star, Hope Sandoval primarily, didn’t really market themselves as overtly as many bands/artists alike as you would presume in such industry like that of music. I think it creates a massive disconnect with fans, but even more so for new listeners. That’s not a slight though, more of a compliment than anything; it shows that even in spite of those marketing flaws, they were still critically acclaimed. I’m used to just being able to follow artists/ bands via social media so there’s consistent exposure to their music, tours, albums, and everything affiliated with them. For the very minute sample size I know of Mazzy star following some of my research, it’s absurd to me that they’re not spoken in the same breadth as many groups of the same era. I have started putting together a playlist of the band entire discography, as with Hope’s too on Spotify - however, it would’ve been nice if she was active on social media as it helps to streamline awareness.

Hope Sandoval is always the best vocalist ever, David Roback was a genius musical artist, the other musicians are just sublime and Hermesacat is the best proponent of all of their music, the lengths that he goes to to are simply astonishing ... they never taught us in school that the full line-up for the Doors of Perception included Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, John Densmore, Lou Reed, Kendra Smith, David Roback, Hope Sandoval, Sylvia Gomez, Suzi Ewers, Colm Ó Cíosóig and so many other amazing artists .. why not? ;-)
