It's crazy to see that Victor is still able to play this good despite his focal dystonia. You can clearly see that he has some problems with the left hand as he is primarily using index finger and pinky. But he seems to have adapted his technique and is still able to play this stuff.
What a show!! Dean Town was sweet! Stomping Ground by Bela Fleck is a song that gets stuck in my head since childhood, I flipped out when they started playing it!!
It pales in comparison to what they could’ve done with the epic “Big Bottom”. Any band utilizing three basses that doesn’t do the cover is failing massively. Doesn’t matter how prodigiously the play.
I was at this show! It was my first live show since I saw Ed Sheeran when I was 11 (almost 20 now) and it was a really awesome re-introduction to live music. Great footage!
Amazing show. Saw them in chicago. Music was awesome. Crowd was probably the lamest I've been in though. Felt like i was in a crowd of robots. Lifeless staring. Dancing not encouraged. Vulfpeck fans... WHERE YOU AT??? Jazz class has concluded, its time to dance!
I know this song is about bass, but goddamn, that horns arrangement the Wongnotes have is super cool. Can hear it cleanly in their Paisley Park sessions set.
Such a sick gig - definitely picked up the energy since last year’s show which I think had them fire a bus driver and have a rough night. The Wooten Loop Pedal Press conference controversy will live forever.
When I saw this band in San Francisco Joe Dart ran on to play this tune, then ran off again. I think he was playing another gig across town that night...
Well there are these words: The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin' That's what I said The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand Or so I have read My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo Big bottom, big bottom Talk about bum cakes, my girl's got 'em Big bottom drive me out of my mind How could I leave this behind? Those are the lyrics to the song “Big Bottom” which utilizes three bass guitars and should’ve been covered.
Hey Michael! You should check out squeaky feet. Watch some of their Ogden set. Would love to hear you break down their compositions, they seem really complex to me. Also, a breakdown of an eggy jam would be cool
were you there Michael? If so I was standing literally 20 ft away from you! wish I had noticed you bc I'm a huge fan and I would have loved to meet you! hope to see you at Dead and Co at Jiffy Lube this summer!
Have you ever reacted to Primus yet? I'd like to hear your breakdown of what has to be going on in the mind of that guitar player LOL. Especially on Tommy the Cat
Great way to start my day...thanks Michael! 🇨🇦❤️ * please watch WALK OFF THE EARTH...a brilliant Canadian group. Insanely talented and creative...each play multiple instruments. Check out their cover of SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW...5 of them on one guitar! Then watch their cover of CRAZY or their reggae/pop themed GUNS AND ROSES " Don't Cry". Promise you'll get addicted...❤️
Michael P. No Paul Gilbert ?? If you haven't had him in the chair to analyze yet, hes AMAZING !! SCARIFIED..wild 10th dimension stuff !! He just makes me crazy happy...I can feel his playing everywhere on me down to my atoms !!!
Well, this was a missed opportunity to really nail “Big Bottom”. Not many bands implement the three bass guitar line-up, and to do so and not cover Spinal Taps revolutionary “Big Bottom” is a travesty to say the least.
I’ll never understand how a crowd can witness something like this and stand completely still
@@CritterElectronics since when do musicians not dance? Lol

Are you kidding me? Victor, Sonny, Cory, killin' it! The Hornheads too!
All your bass are belong to us
"All Your Base" is our gen's "Who's on first?" 😂
What you say!!
Bassed comment
I saw this show twice and both times I left thinking Petar is one of the best drummers in the GAME right now
Petar is definitely underrated
I met him after their show in Boston; he's an awesome guy.
What a show!! Dean Town was sweet!
Stomping Ground by Bela Fleck is a song that gets stuck in my head since childhood, I flipped out when they started playing it!!
Oh My Stars!!! So much fun with Victor and Cory!. The horns are a real plus too What a treat!!!
So cool to see what this song has evolved in to! The complexity and the legends playing it and making it their own. Incredible
It pales in comparison to what they could’ve done with the epic “Big Bottom”. Any band utilizing three basses that doesn’t do the cover is failing massively. Doesn’t matter how prodigiously the play.
@@smelltheglove2038 I would kill to see Sonny T sing Big Bottoms!
wow, as a drummer this would be my dream...to play along with a horn section and 3 bass players...that has got to be so much fun.
so fucking good. This is the best funk you can find now days
Holy hell! Super tight! Those basses with the horns popping is phenomenal!
Absolutely amazing! THREE basses rocking together!!
I was at this show! It was my first live show since I saw Ed Sheeran when I was 11 (almost 20 now) and it was a really awesome re-introduction to live music. Great footage!
Wow! This is a great way to start the day! Great share, Michael!
I love how they are set up in the same fashion as the Wongnotes Show!
thanks for capturing this, awesome
Saw them in NYC, amazing show. Everyone on that stage is so talented
Who knew Dean Town would become a standard?
Can't wait!! Seeing them tonight at the beacon!
Such a fun tour, I was at their Atlanta concert and it was a blast!
Amazing show. Saw them in chicago. Music was awesome. Crowd was probably the lamest I've been in though. Felt like i was in a crowd of robots. Lifeless staring. Dancing not encouraged. Vulfpeck fans... WHERE YOU AT??? Jazz class has concluded, its time to dance!
Hey Mike! Big fan of your channel, hope you had a blast at this one, I’m going to see em all Monday!
Legends. All of them.
Sweet horns!!...
If you have the opportunity, go see this live. So much talent on the stage. I saw them in Raleigh and I'm still feeling the joy.
Damn! Im in Wilmington and missed it. Never seen Cory but seen VW several times with Bela. Simply amazing musicians
Dude that's so cool that you were there! I was at the very front and asked a question during the post-show interview.
I know this song is about bass, but goddamn, that horns arrangement the Wongnotes have is super cool. Can hear it cleanly in their Paisley Park sessions set.
Woody Goss, look what your genius has created!
This is sick
Such a sick gig - definitely picked up the energy since last year’s show which I think had them fire a bus driver and have a rough night.
The Wooten Loop Pedal Press conference controversy will live forever.
Ya got me interested in that story, Do ya mind explaining a bit more?
Cool !!!
Here for the music ❤
I saw them in Dallas w Robbie Wuhlfson and Sierra Hull. Can't wait until the come back!
Epic
When I saw this band in San Francisco Joe Dart ran on to play this tune, then ran off again. I think he was playing another gig across town that night...
That was 100 % groove
This show was my reminder to get to shows earlier. I had a crappy view on the side of the balcony. Couldn't see Petar or Sonny the whole night.
There are no words.
Well there are these words:
The bigger the cushion, the sweeter the pushin'
That's what I said
The looser the waistband, the deeper the quicksand
Or so I have read
My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I'd like to sink her with my pink torpedo
Big bottom, big bottom
Talk about bum cakes, my girl's got 'em
Big bottom drive me out of my mind
How could I leave this behind?
Those are the lyrics to the song “Big Bottom” which utilizes three bass guitars and should’ve been covered.
🤭
This is all new to me
☝️makes me happy (Maestro Michael shines light, once again!)
@@manyvibes1540 I need happy right now. It's definitely a great vibe . The bass player is just off-the-wall crazy. Licking it all over the place
Bass-O-Rama!!

im seeing cory tomorrow night!
😎🔥👍
"too bad nobody plays rhythm bass like Cory Wong plays rhythm guitar." Cory: "hold my beer"
Have you ever reacted to Primus yet? I'd like to hear your breakdown of what has to be going on in the mind of that guitar player LOL. Especially on Tommy the Cat
They even have the lens-flare dancing.
Wild. So tight. Unrelated, but Michael, try out "Honky Tonk Night Time Man" by Skynyrd. Something about that guitar solo...
Is Cory 6’ 13” or is that p-bass small?
Great way to start my day...thanks Michael! 🇨🇦❤️

Lefties to the left? So fun…
how is Petar always so tight
Michael P. No Paul Gilbert ?? If you haven't had him in the chair to analyze yet, hes AMAZING !! SCARIFIED..wild 10th dimension stuff !! He just makes me crazy happy...I can feel his playing everywhere on me down to my atoms !!!
Uhm……10th dimension?😳
Could you react to whiskey Myers broken window serenade?
We need @Davie504 as a referee in this battle of BASS!
Did Woody have any idea of the monster he created?
Great sound except for the sound guy missing completely Sonny T’s ending.
Anyone here know of TOSIN ABASI?
What tiny child’s bass is Cory playing?
Vulf led me to Cory, Cory led me to Ripe.
Cory is playing a childrens bass?
And of course Victor is double-thumbing the sixteenths
hm, needs more basses
what kind of bass is Cory playing?
Looks like a mini precision bass or something like that? So dope
It looks like it has four strings and a fender headstock.
I am pretending they are giants….oh…wait….(they are!)
It's a 2020s Squier Mini Precision Bass. It plays well for the money spent. I bought mine last year on sale for less than $200.
Not the same but whatever ❤

Breakneck Triplets
This was cool. But Joe plays it the best 🤷♂️
Nobody is dancing?!?!?!!???!!!!!
I mean... Wooten is a good bass player, but Joe Dart is the most perfect bass player for Dean Town.
Wong playing a kids bass..Sell out
