Hi If I remember correctly it was T25 torx bit. It is tight for space but doable. I have a very small ratchet that has internal slot for a different bit. I remember years ago every car owner can replace their bulbs the standard way from the top. How things are a lot more complicated

@@TheKeenMechanic the new EU safety rules is now preventing them to create cars this way...as user must be able to switch light on spot. I wonder when will they notice they stoped adding spare tyre in cars so they can brag how they decreased production costs and weight of the car.
@@TheKeenMechanic I know it’s nonsense in my old car (e60) I was able to remove headlight unit after removing four screws and that was it and now is a mission for simple maintenance task.
@@miniulabsreview7744 I don't know what the BMW engineers are thinking when designing these things. They are certainly not thinking of the customer when things go wrong. Imagine telling someone you are bringing your car to the dealership for a headlight bulb replacement🤯
@TheKeenMechanic I just bought 3 weeks ago my first bmw f11 weather was storm so not checking all properly and small silly bulb . I put new H7 from top, but no results . Now, I need to check power get in or fuses for light 6 or 8 of them one by one .
@@TheKeenMechanic Hi again me I asked on forum about my angel light and answer is Control TMS Module , it's hard to change it my selft or better to take in garage.
@Stefcio86 I would suggest to go to a garage if you are not sure as it may need some additional coding or programming. Best of luck and hope you get it sorted

How did you manage to get those two screws off that are holding the cap in place?
My f10 has different sort of bulb like basic looking one not that flat box like yours.
Yours is probably not xenon headlights. Just normal H7 bulbs
@@TheKeenMechanic yeah they are not xenon just h7 but can i change them for LED xenon like in your car? Or do i have to buy another whole headlight
@@babber2536 You will have to check the harness and plugs. It may not be as simple as just buying the headlights.🤝🏻
Unfortunately with LCI model you have to remove whole bumper to do this job 😢
