These are my Review Notes:
Pros:
- Compact size, but flies like a much larger plane
- BNF with AS3X & the option of SAFE Select
- 2S or 3S power options
- Has a Telemetry enabled ESC & Receiver for battery warnings
- Overall nice looking scheme like the V1
Cons:
- The white on the horizontal stab was redish white, but the camera hid it well
- Wing wires are not taught
- Ding on white part of the canopy
- The way it taxi's on pavement leaves a lot to be desired

Thank you Bill!!! We need to fly again soon. Even shoot off model rockets! It will fly off of 2S, but I don’t have packs with the right connector for that. This now comes with a red JST 👊🏻💥👊🏻
I only have one 3s pack so most of my flights have been on 2s. I maidened on 2s and it was not what I was expecting from all the praise of the v1 but as soon as I put in that 3s pack I understood immediately after takeoff. Not even enough power to do a loop and roll sequentially unless enough speed is there on 2s but on 3s it’s snap rolls (or anything you can throw at it pretty much) galore 😎
It 'flies' on 2s (umx timber batteries are the same), but don't expect much more than an occasional loop or roll. The 3s is what every umx needs!

Pretty snappy on 3s, hard to beat a Pitts in any size.

What an awesome lil pitts!
Got mine Friday, maidened & perfected it Saturday! (Safe for taking off my tonneau cover, every other safety off, + 125% rates with -50 expo😜!) I liked it so much, i ordered 2 more batteries (venom 3s/450mah) while recharging the 3 i had! 7 minute flights under 3d'n & doing stupid stuff! 🤷
Eflite/Horizon knocked this one out of the park!
Oh my on the 125% rates. A lot if guys set their throws to 95-99% because they break down quickly going past 100% and is not recommended.

Imagine the umx timber on the same 3s!😳 Unfortunately, the stock esc/rx board dont recognize any battery other than a 2s😭!
I put the esc/rx board from my destroyed umx warthog n my lil timber. 3s is astounding, BUT the airframe wasn't designed for the extra power (stock) for 3s. It exploded inverted flat spin. Was cool to watch tho🤷😁🤦!!!

Nice maiden! I love mine, it’s such a massive improvement over the V1, and is my favorite UMX to date. First time I rolled it on high rates was sobering though haha. I’m also impressed with how well it handles the rollout on takeoff and landing. It veers way less than say my UMX Cub or Timber.

Are the new 3s batteries from horizon "smart" or can they be recharged with any lipo balance charger?
Finally, considering you had experience with the first release of this model, would you recommend it for someone who already has a first release working one?
Thank you very much! Those batteries are not “Smart” and can be charged by any hobby grade charger with the proper connectors (balance plug and red JST). I would recommend it for sure to not only have a spare, but to ensure you have all if the power and performance you want. It isn’t a “Must Have”, but I haven’t been flying my older one since I could replace it. I hope this helps 👊🏻💥👊🏻

Thank you! Great question and they are the same except the distance between the pointy plastic piece and the bottom of the wing is even less. I added CA tac drops of buffer for wing protection from rough landings. I hope that helps! 👊🏻💥👊🏻
Oh and the connector is different than other UMX planes. A red JST.

I would like to see like a classic biplane but not a sport biplane just a slow nice trainer for beginners, its kinda boring to only see high wings

I would work on your rudder game first. Can you fly it and get by? Probably. Should you maximize your potential fun by trying to master using your rudder first? Yep 👊🏻💥👊🏻

It is very cool, but you need an adapter to fly the same packs you do with the UMX TT on 2S. I need to test the larger 3S 450 packs I have for my quads to ensure all is good for non-special packs.

Im using gensace & venom 3s 450mah with zero issues. They r a wee bit bigger than the tiny 3s & 2s 300mah packs. Still fit easily under the battery cover. 👍
