- Are you tired of typing out the same emails over and over again? Discover how to use templates in Microsoft Outlook to save time, ensure consistency, and enhance your email communication! In this video, I’ll take you step-by-step through creating, customizing, and managing email templates that will make your workflow more efficient and professional.
This was the greatest efficiency video I've ever seen. I just started daily email notifications, and this will drastically reduce copy and paste time. Thank you!
You're welcome! I'm glad it will save you time.
I've always created my templates in Signatures. In addition to my standard signature, I've got some with blank spaces to fill in information for a specific email, I've got some just for quick replies. I just Name them in my Signatures list. If Templates have a feature that's more efficient, I'm all for it. But my Signature list has been my go-to for 20 years
I can't thank you enough 😊
Just transitioned from lotus notes to out look
Was having a tough time with this one
Thanks a lot
Cheers 🍻
Thanks for the video! Is it any way to keep the recipient and the subject in the template?
Thank you very much! I’ve been searching for days for this!!! New outlook is picky.
Nor google and Microsoft support could gave me the explanation!
Simple. Very useful. Thank you so much ❤
You're welcome 😊
If I have 50 templates, the current setup requires me to scroll for ages to look for it? Is there a better way to organize the templates?
Thanks! I was wondering where to find My Templates. 😅
But I have to blast out an email everyday to a group of the same people. Is there a way of adding the Subject title and Bcc Recipients list as well into the template?
Great tutorial, Jamie! I use template for a while but it doesn't allow me to add complex templates. It shows error. So, I have to reduce the amount of text/link or, even break down into 2 or 3 different templates. Is there a way to overcome that? Thanks!
Thank you very much!
In the old Outlook, when you could save an actual email as a template - besides the BODY of the email, you were allowed to save the TO and CC as well as the SUBJECT line... is that no longer possible in the "new" Outlook?
did you find this out?
apparently not, and it's very annoying - major step backwards
Right. I am also searching for this option in new outlook. That is a great feature which the latest outlook misses. Terrible.
You can still do it. It’s located in a different tab and you add it to your ribbon under “insert”
@haileyjonesx can you elaborate on this? what is it called? under what tab?
Unfortunately Microsoft has decided to leave their business users behind and make their products worse than Win 95. There's no option for To: or Cc: which is essential for templates. This is such a half-assed solution
Has anyone found a solution for this?
How do i edit the look of templates on the right side so i wont need to scroll down to look for my templates
Is there a way to add contacts to your templates? Similarly how you used to with "Quick Parts" in the older version of Outlook as I frequently require to send the same type of email to the same group of people.
Thanks
Thank you very much for this very informative lesson. Yes you are able to make a template for the body of the email but there is no subject. So you will have to type in the subject line all the time? I there a way to make a template that's ready with the subject line?
THANK YOU.
Excellent tutorial thanks so much
Thank you, this was a very helpful
That was super helpful. Thank you.
Thanks for helping me find the template "app." Was hoping to be able to save a template to link in Confluence, but it appears Microsoft dropped that functionality with no plans for it to return...
Thanks for the video! Are the templates not collapsible by the heading? Seems that can become visually cluttered if you have several templates. It also slows down what should be a quick selection if you have to scroll through the body of all the templates to locate the template you need.
I know what you mean, that's a feature they should add.
Great video thank you for the help.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you Jamie!!
Glad it was helpful!
What is the different between a Template and Quick Parts? Just 2 different ways of doing the same thing? Appears the case to me.
Thank you for sharing. If the body of the email is in html format, is there any way to save it as a template for reuse?
Excellent!
Thank you!
My Templates does not seem to work any more. It gives a message saying it is to large to save, although you've typed only 2 sentences. Not sure what the change is as my older templates are paragraphs long and work fine to date. Only new ones are causing issues.
Hey Jamie, is there a way to create a template with date/time specific fields that automatically update? The template I currently use has "xx February 2024" in the subject and body, but I need to manually update this each time. Additionally if this is even possible, is there also a way to set the date for the previous day?
Hi Liam, I don't think there is but I will double check.
How do you add attachments and signatures to the new outlook template? Didn't find away other than to add it after the fact the template has been selected.
Hi Jamie, very well explained. I need to create a template that can be used by other people from their Outlook templates file. How do I do this globally please?
In the old version of Outlook I was able to save templates toa location on a hard drive, or network drive. This allowed other users in the organization to use the same templates. Is this possible with the new outlook?
I am also looking for this functionality. Big sigh.
I want a popup to come up asking for some info and placing it in the message.
Thank you sir
Hi,
Every time I open my MS Excel live on Chrome or on my laptop,
It opens from either the middle of the sheet or end of the sheet.
How can I open it from the beginning of the sheet?
Can I share my templates with other members on my team?
Thank you! Very helpful video. I need help though. I'm not able to paste in my copied template. Please help! Thank you!
I am unable to find "My templates" as one of the listed apps, who do I add it?
I had to login to Outlook online to find an apps option.
Is there a way I can standardize the style of items like links? So I dont have to reconfigure them every time
Cant find it at Outlook 365
Can you also add the subject?
Does not seem to be a way to save a template with attachments or subject lines. I copied all my templates into a folder and they will work if I just open up the .oft file. There must be a better way to to this in the new outlook.
is this an ad or instructions how to use email templates in Microsoft Outlook like described??
Can you reply to emails using a template? Also can you templates that include attachments?
The new release is painful, for example it is not possible to insert in a email as a link the intranet path where a file is stored, instead of having to attach it to the email. I might not even want to use sharepoint.
Template autofill is not working in Outlook 2021. How can I fix it?
Note: it working when I click F3 only and I want autofill.
Why can't you just compose your email and click on File>Save as Template ?
This was the way in the old Outlook
Thank you
This seems very intuitive but I use Gmail and templates are a bit clunky to use
Hi sir make a video on different triggers for sharepoint onedrive in power automate how to use it make a tutorial on it
And what about the subject????
best solution, just go to 1:14
I use the signatures tab for my preset email
This template is too large to save. Please make it smaller, then try to save it again. - This does not work for large files. Used to be able to save an email and use it as a template previously. I have quite a bit of these and this solution does not work.
same, what I did was saved the whole email as a document and then save to your desktop
Hello Sir, Recently I watched your UA-cam channel. you are really doing a great job but Despite having a lot of subscribers, your video does not get enough views. This is because your subscribers are inactive.
..
There could be several reasons for this and I can help you how to get them reactive again.
..
Can we discuss more about this ? Can you please share your contact details?
It’s fewer NOT LESS!!!🙄🤪
I’m switching out of this. Microsoft is trash.
LOL spent an hour looking for something just like this and when I finally got it setup, the message I need to send 600 times is too large. /heavy sigh
Hello is there a way to add text boxes that have to be filled out to reply to the email?
