Haha funny timing, I just finished watching your latest vid now and thinking I'll have to go find some snow when it's winter. Glad you enjoyed, I love sand driving. The great thing about Northland is the beaches.
Are there rules about which way you can ascend or descend the sand dune? It seems like it is a blind rise and one could easily collide with another vehicle coming in the other direction
Hey Swampy a bit of a lone ranger aye good on you getting out there and having some fun and sharing it with us all. Another great video. Hmmm did you just show up a surf in the soft sand lol. Shall we put that down to driver skill and never under estimate a Subaru. Good stuff Sam keep it up.
Another cool video Sam! Is a permit still needed to go through the forest like I had to get a couple of years ago? And I recently heard there is now a fence at that point stopping vehicles getting around to Ahipara. Hopefully someone who reads this knows for sure…
Yeah still need a permit. And thats what I was looking for. But no sign of the fence, and I've heard of others driving around. Will have to go for a better look soon
I'm pretty sure I found that same hole where you bent your bash guard a few years back in the buggy
Wow that sand looked amazing! We have been off-roading in the snow and I am ready for some dry ground! Cool crossing you did. Great video!

Surprisingly no. But I walked up to see if there was anyone on the beach before I went over.
Wow! This is great Sam!
Thanks😁

Cheers! Yeah I enjoy going places on my own, just have to be a bit more careful. In all fairness I dont think that surf really gave it a proper go🤣
Looks like an awesome trip might have to find my way there soon I think
