New Zealand Honeymoon || Nevis Swing - Queenstown

Boy oh boy did I wake up in an anxious mood. Owen and I were off to do the Nevis Swing and if you don't know me at all, then one thing you should know is how terrified I am of these sort of things. (The Nevis Swing is the largest swing in the world.) If you watch long enough, you'll see me have a breakdown, which includes lots of tears. But at the end of it, I faced my fears and did it!!
Then we went whitewater rafting on the Shotover River, but unfortunately couldn't take any videos. It was too crazy a ride to even if I tried!
We finished the night with some Mexican food and an early night to relax from the insane day we had.

I shared every moment of terror with you and even sitting at my computer, the moment they released the hook and you plummeted into the void my jaw dropped with shock. Wow you guys really went full on adventure on your trip, great job. Now I want to have a go at the Nevis Swing & I'm 66 LOL. Might be a different story once I get there though but at least you're not hanging upside down like for a bungy jump, that I couldn't do haha. oh my goodness....what a day!! I could see her face before the swing. ........girl, I know that look. It is so amazing she did it, and It looks like Owen was so supportive. These two are couple goals! He dives in crazy ass places and Jen is a PCT Queen. I love following the adventure of their life. I would not mind cooking and domestic videos from these two. Cutest couple ever!

They were frantically tapping as if trying to find the ground. I guess I’m not surprised though (PCT solo hike, skydiving, etc), but I am impressed! Very courageous to meet that fear head-on. That was the mother of all bungie jumps. I could see from the footage that the fear was real. It was basically like sky-diving. But you came through strong!

I would have checked the ropes, the carabiners, the harness five times and still be afraid. From the time you get off the bus until you jump you have too much time to think and regret, I'm sure there are people who don't jump at the last minute.
It's good to be afraid and know how to manage it, it keeps us alive.
The staff said that people bail ALL the time! They told me I could if I wanted. But I somehow pushed through 🤣

Just saw your video of the Nevis Swing. Awesome girl!! Just think, when you finally become a Soccer Mom and are busy telling your kids how to be safe etc and they call you boring, you can point to that certificate and tell them that their Mom is one awesome lady.

I would have peed my pants and a whole lot of other things. Including headache and serious back and stomach cramps from the adrenaline rush. Hard no. You are brave for trying it. But you are a beast and did the entire PCT so it’s not a shock you are willing to try things we mortals fear like crazy. Lol 😝

The huge line at 10:35 is for Fergburger. Best Burgers in NZ. the only time the line isn't like that is between 4 and 5 am, when they close for cleaning.

I thought there was going to be a divorce early in this video😂. There comes a time when too much adrenalin makes you throw up, drives you to alcohol or to eat Mexican food (love it and so much better than the burgers you saw people queueing for). Glad you survived Queenstown and even enjoyed it. Those furry warmer things often turn up in Secret Santa presents. Cant understand why!!!
