Not necessarily, it really means that you can continue your addiction while still functioning in your normal like like holding down a job, family, all that. If you can keep all those things while still using or drinking, you’re a functioning addict/alcoholic.

I was totally in love with Travie, his look, his music, EVERYTHING! Huge GymClassheroes fan, went to concerts, still rock tshirts from fan clubs....but, if you see him on IG today....hes either using something or not taking care of himself...he's 6'5 and looks gaunt and scary skinny, the bags under his eyes. He was never this thin, if you check out old interviews or even thr cupid chokehold video he looked healthier then. Now, he looks so sickly. I hope whatever is troubling him he overcomes it. Drugs or something else, he comes through it...hes lost so many people already.

To the point that I had to Google what happened to him. Smh! Smfh. Hes definitely using again.... and it's sad. Hoping God touches him and takes away his sickness

I been on opiates for 9 years. Fentanyl and liquid hydrocodone. I don't see how people get on meth tho I tried it and omg I fucking hated it. I thought I'd like it cuz I use to like Adderall but no way. Congratulations on quitting tho that's awesome. I never even heard of or seen meth around Cincinnati Ohio til like 2 years ago. Now it's everywhere. Shits def cheap compared to opiates. And it lasts.. crazy how it just popped up everywhere like that, I'm sure it's always been around but not like it is now. Ugh shit made me feel so gross and disappointed in myself. Lol but il sniff fentanyl all day, I'm not proud of that either but I have to or I'm sick. Tried to quit once a few years ago and didn't sleep for 28 days and was so sick still I couldn't believe it. And around here that is long as any rehab will keep you, I did it in the basement tho with mass weed and edibles but yeah I got to tired of not sleeping and being sick so first time I left the house in 28 days was a Uber from my mom house to the dope man cuz I was to sick to drive. I couldn't stay at my house cuz I was cool with 3 of the at least 5 dope boys on my street, I would have never lasted that long at my house.
That drug is a killer. Basically the deadliest drug of abuse in America.

I haven't been around the country much, but as someone who's lived in Florida for years, this kind of thing truly is an epidemic hustle. It seems like every other family I meet has a problem with prescription drugs, which almost always translates into some form of hard drug addiction. I'm glad there are similar minds aware of this kind of thing. With that being said, I'm sure this awareness was gained from some form of personal experience, so with that in mind, I've got nothing but respect for you powering through it, and I wish you the best, enjoy life.

Travie mcCoy was one of my guy crushes wen i first moved to lala.. I went thru SAME thing with oxys and heroin in nj. Someone turned me onto snorting oxys and then wen i realized how xpensive they was to get, i realized i can get heroin MUCH cheaper. Neva shot it...snorted it and coke while holding a semi professional position in nj and the job never knew but speculated..a coworker was talking about me to another and i heard her say.."wow she is such a heautiful girl but she is a lost cause.."...i was on alllll kinds of pills...weed...booze....coke...e....heroin in my early to mid 20s and then at the brink of my later 20s...i was invited to an all black church and had a supernatural experience..ppl praying over me..speakin in tounges...got my ass saved and stopped EVERYTHING cold turkey...moved to la to prove my haters wrong...became afraid of the sun😩...because the sun is stronger in lala den in nj......im 1/2 italian and can tan well cos my momz people are olive but i never got used to the sun out here...so was livin like a vampyra for 10 yrs who was dancin in clubs and ended up fallin back in to some weed and alcohol here n therr.. and now my well seasoned ars writes songs btwn going to school online..... was taking norco 2 yrs ago for pain but then got sober again over a year except for some red wine once a montall thanks to the home girls both sending me td jakes videos..mm.thT man is TRULY annointed..m.now im Sober from hard drugs for over 6 yrs.. Addiction is a mfkr...U never know what can trigger.u to go back to it. I miss weed ...E..and yay..l sometimes..not heroin ever but im glad i dont do any anymore...my new high besides a little red wine on ocassion..is caffeinated tea

I wish I could get off these opiates. Im on fentanyl and liquid hydrocodone syrup form of Vicodin. I tried getting on Suboxone or Subutex before like 3 yrs ago, I quit and was sick for 3 days before taking the sub and it made me soo much sicker, never again. I prob did 3.5 grams of powdered fentanyl after the sub that day just to try and feel better and still wasn't all the way well. I once tried quitting cold turkey also and after 28 days I still couldn't sleep, heart pounding and lethargic all the time and was just wrestless and sore, so I gave up and quitting. Only way il think il ever get clean is to ween off slowly which I've been doing, I'm down to about a half gram a day now with no hydro syrup, I was using about a gram and a half a day along with the syrup. It seems like it's getting harder to cut back the lower I get. Congratulations on your sobriety, I bet life is so much better. I couldnt imagine I been on this shit 8 or 9 years now I forget how it feels to not need something to not be sick.

I’ve been doing Oxsee’s and I haven’t died and I have done FET which is more coming out to get and you know anything you do in life can kill you but at the same time when you have PTSD severe in Zaidi disorder and depression people are going to self medicate it is a sickness and we’re not being properly treated they don’t give a shit anymore so he probably got it because he was famous they don’t give you that nice you have cancer. But I know many people that are still alive today working hard to get it because it’s expensive habit

Definitely, doctors are giving out the drugs too easily. I got a whole prescription of Oxycodone when I got my 4 wisdom teeth pulled. I expected to get like 5 pills or less, since any kind of extreme pain with wisdom teeth surgery shouldn't last more than a couple days.. but nope, I got 15 pills. Like... for what reason?

@Fab StillSmokin He was a kid when he had the accident. Teenager. Was in a wheelchair for a while. Back when he was prescribed pain meds we didn’t know what we know now. He’s from a small town in Upstate New York and his parents likely had no clue those meds could hurt him. Shame on his surgeon for not trying to wean him off. In NYS nowadays doctors are scared shitless to prescribe opiates because of our new opiate regulations, which is why people are seeking cheaper street drugs. Now we know what can happen. Doctors here lose their license for overprescribing now. It’s just too bad that it took so long and so many deaths for change to happen.
