    The cable was quite microphonic for me + the earhooks being so short and stubby would irritate my ear alot as well so i had to swap the cable on the Nova, hopefully Truthear learns from this and fixes the cable for their next project.
    If you can you should try to eq , it makes this iem amazing
    Preamp: -3.0 dB
    Filter 1: ON LSC Fc 300 Hz Gain 2.0 dB Q 0.500
    Filter 2: ON PK Fc 400 Hz Gain 1.5 dB Q 0.500
    this eq makes the bass come back to life

      I had a similar experience with the cable, which is unfortunate because I really like the color. Thank you for the EQ settings; I've tried them and I like it with Filter 1 only applied; it really brings the bass back to life!

    My brand new Novas are having quite low output in regular base and and every time i turn up the volume through my soundcard i notice also a lot of distortion...any ideas folks?

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  7 днів тому +1

      The Nova has a bit of a slightly thin bass response, but they hold up well without distortion even at higher volumes. You might want to try them with a different DAC/Amp setup or consider exchanging them for a replacement.

    I know the aful p8 is more expensive, but is it better than the chopin, especially in resolution and tech? Is P8 better for 90s rock and r&b tracks?

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  3 місяці тому +6

      The AFUL P8 offers better treble, resolution, and instrument separation than the Chopin, but its bass is lighter. The Chopin has a richer, fuller bass, giving a different vocal and instrument presentation. If you prefer the sound of drum kicks and electric guitars, you might like the Chopin more. However, if you value finer details and clarity, especially in the treble, the P8 could be a better choice. For 90s rock and R&B tracks, both are good.

      @Atechreviews I agree. I have the P8 and the Chopin. The P8 has one of the best treble I have heard for it's price range. But it lacks bass compared to the chopin. The chopin is a good all rounder in my opinion.

    I sold my Chopin this week for 130eu, the DD is fantastic on them however the BA timbre for the treble got in the way of my personal preferece.
    They are excellent in games and feel very energetic with their Harman tuning.
    They are worth the price for an all rounder but your ear canal need to fit otherwise it will be a pain.

      Sound preferences are indeed personal! Perhaps the Nova, with some EQ adjustments, could better suit your tastes. Comfort is also crucial; even if an IEM sounds great, if it's not comfortable, you won't enjoy it. Enjoy your music!

    My novas fell and the faceplace broke and now the connection feels extremely loose and cuts audio alot and the cable comes out easily,do you think Chopin is a small upgrade,or should I spend more and get the origin,I also dislike the thin vocals on the nova

      The Chopin is a minor upgrade from the Nova, without thin vocals and has slightly more mid-bass, and improved treble.

    Is the chopin an upgrade from ea500LM?

    Chopin or Aful Perfomer 5 in sound quality?

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  2 місяці тому

      It depends on your preferences, but for me, the Chopin has better sound quality due to its bass, which provides a more balanced sound and allows me to enjoy a wide range of genres. The Performer 5, on the other hand, has light bass, which is suitable for certain types of music. While its treble is excellent, and detailed without being harsh, I find the Chopin's treble presentation more enjoyable, especially with electric guitars. The Performer 5 is safe for harsh tracks or those prone to sibilance. Overall, both IEMs offer similar technicalities and detail retrieval.

    if you are lucky you can get the nova for 100 on 11.11 and other sales, for my unit i replaced the cable and put an wavelet eq to make it sound like variations. its good now xd

      Nice, getting the Nova for $100 on 11.11 is a great deal! 👍 It just goes to show how much potential there is to customize IEMs with EQ. Cable + EQ = You've basically solved all of the Nova's issues. Enjoy your setup!

    due you prefer nova or mp15 or simgot ea1000 vs Kiwi Ears - Quintet

    • @Atechreviews
      @Atechreviews  2 місяці тому

      Here is how I would rank them based on my own listening preferences:
      1. Simgot EA1000
      2. Truthear Nova
      3. Hidizs MP145
      4. Kiwi Ears Quintet
      If I had to choose one only, I would pick the EA1000. But the Nova is really good and is even better with slight EQ.
