Ding Liren PINS Gata Kamsky

- Featured is the chess game between Gata Kamsky and Ding Liren from the 2011 Aeroflot Open. Ding plays the French Defense and exerts pressure on Kamsky’s center with both of his flank pawns. The position quickly turns dynamic once there is a queenside imbalance. After Ding obtains a 4:3 majority, he strikes in the center. The ‘pin’ tactic shines though in this game, with several of them surfacing towards Kamsky’s more vulnerable king.

I think Ding Liren should keep playing chess. His games have a different feel than what we're used to, a certain beauty.
Is he planning on retiring or taking a break?
@@ghost79ishapparently he's been dealing with an illness but will hopefully come back
It seems that he has this love and hate for chess.
Okay this is one of the best games I've seen in a while. STUNNING PLAY BY DING!!
It is so good to see you post frequently again Jerry! I am a long time fan of yours!
feels like every single eventual pin resulted from that innocuous g3 move early on. what a game.
Once the second ( or 7th) is weak , things can happen
Gata got up from the board with a tingly sensation in his hands
he had been suffering from pins & needles
Great video. I liked the robust, yet efficient, way you covered the variations. Thanks!
Wow! Great analysis! What a game. Thanks for sharing.
That's some incredibly efficient use of pieces
Kamsky probably immediately reported Ding for using a computer.
Incredible example of how 1 mistake can mess White up against a French Defense! Also nice to see the young Ding Liren destroying a world class Grandmaster. Of course, the lesson on using pins was great!
These regular uploads have been amazing. You have the best chess content on youtube; your analysis videos are the only ones that make me feel like I can actually somewhat understand GM-level games.
Thanks Jerry, from everyone!
Loving the choice of games lately. 👍
A brilliant win. thanks Jerry.
I love you videos and especially the pointers and general ideas
Thank you Chris. 👍
Wonderful game .. Thanks Jery
He's like self-taught in chess. If you don't have all the books, you need a lot of brain power and dedication. Feels like early European champions.
I would have seen _some_ of the pins, but nowhere near all of them. That was unbelievable.
jerry, have you ever done a video that shows how you prepare for and what tools you use to make a video? i think that would be fascinating to see.
Very nice game! A good advert for the French which is a better opening than many people seem to think......
Awesome game, thanks!
This is Ding's immortal. What a. Beautiful coordination between pieces
Why the hell didn't this get recommend to me xD
Brutal. I wouldnt be surprised if Gata Kamsky started falling apart after
nice analysis Jerry!
Giving away the knight for 2 pawns seemed to me like the most natural move because it unclogs the position and activates the queen. Nice game thanks
The pinnacle of pins
when Ding wins his games, it's usually by some deep technical concepts. Fun to watch! like when he defeated Magnus with the black pieces Q sac.
brilliant game
Thank you
a masterpiece by Ding
I liked it, what an interesting game! I like it when games have an overriding character about them that makes you remember them well.
How Kamsky says: Pin for the win
Ding just blew him away!
Thanks Jerry, Brilliant !!!!!!!!!
g3/Bh3 is the main line for many many many years.
Beautiful game.
Pinteresting video, Jerry
Dad joke rating +15
Good one, Jerry
For some reason *and this certainly a tip of the Cap to Ding* I felt that This game merited a closing remark from Jerry's AlphaZero Droid;
"KAMSKY .. any A.I. Chess Entity will tell you that Only Lord Zero could escape That many Pins. Or should I say OVERLORD ZERO. And in the OPEN-SYSTEM WORLD?? Do watch out for Replicants ... and singularities.."
🎶 🎵 🎶 🎵 🎶 🎵 ✨
What a sick game
and then Kamsky immediately got up from his sit and reported ding for cheating
The good old salty online player behavior. If I lose, the other player must be cheating. Lol.
As always, good game choice)
I counted 6 pins and 2 relevant potential pins :)
Do you think Ding can take on Magnus? I'm really liking his style.
There’s plenty of games of ding beating Carlson on the channel
pinnerooney 📍📌 love
Great pick, superb game by black.
Pausing at 5:06, what keeps white from taking the d3 pawn with his queen? This is unprotected and helps develop the queen further. Noob here, I guess white does not want to expose his queen to the d8 rook, but that's probably not the actual reason
After finishing the video, I add that I love those commented games, it helps me get into the chess culture, evaluate the strength of positions, and develop tactics. The format is great, very clear and easy to understand. Must find some time to watch more of those!
Nd7 takes e5 pawn
Thx Jerry 😊
You can really see the 18 yo in there 😂. I don't think Ding today would be playing 29..Rd3, but it's basically irresistible for a strong 18 yo.
the rooooooooooooooooooooook moment
brings me back to the good bishop♟ vs bad ♟in your amazing. beginning to master series. thank you Sir Jerry~!
thanks
Meanwhile gata : he is definitely cheating. He played like an engine. (reports & blocks)
ding was monster
Perfect 🥰
Gata "I'm a legend" Kamsky
* gets comfy *
How the fffff do you get to that level?!
That’s a very good question! I think the answer is to always play against very strong opponents and to lose repeatedly against them. Only then will you learn from your mistakes. But this painful process can take years to achieve. Constantly winning against weaker opponents won’t make you a stronger player!
@@vcliburnMore than years. It would take a lifetime of commitment. To be the best, you have to train like the absolute best
@@dannytran1587In general, all of that is true. To be “that good” requires a lifetime of study and commitment…as well as always playing against only very strong opponents. But then that raises serious questions as to how some very young players become GMs(!!!) at such a tender age…when they’re barely old enough to even finish grammar school! Yes, a lot of it is commitment and study. But there’s also that intangible and mysterious element of pure, God given talent…and even GENIUS! We’re not all born the same way. Some people just have more natural ability in some things than others. Math, music, chess, etc.
:( Made me think Ding is finally back
Did he die or something?
@@looinrimsHe retired from playing in tournament, I think.
I think Jerry should pin this comment in honor of DL's pin :)
I think diren is a solid player, after this one Jerry
Pin win ding laren
KING DING 👑
PAUSE
Hi Jerry
Who is Ding Liren? It's very discouraging that he's not playing chess what is the point of being champion?
A much better question is, "Who are YOU"???
The world chess champion
@vcliburn Calm down fellas I'm just saying if he's World Champion he needs to play some chess. It's very disappointing
But that’s not what you said originally. Your original comment was simply “Who is Ding Liren?” And then only later did you add the clarification to cover your tracks. For someone like Ding, taking a brief “intermission” from competitive chess is very understandable. Frankly, few people at the highest level of chess expected him to beat Nepo, but against all odds that’s exactly what he did! Ding also is not a gregarious type person who craves attention and the limelight. On the contrary, he’s much more of a quiet, introspective, and private person…which takes a lot of adjusting when you’re suddenly the World Chess Champion!
@vcliburn True that was NOT my original post I was being sarcastic if you will. The point being I would rather have an active WC rather than one that is not. I am not a Nepo fan and am glad Ding won. I look at it as Carlsen has lent the title rather than losing it.
1st or nah?
ye
@@Loots1 whoop whoop - what do I win?
@@blahtoausername you win a dick pic, whats your snap? lmao joking
I'm getting some serious Captain Kirk vibes from the speech pattern you've developed. Do you deliberately pause between almost every other word? Have you been watching a lot of Start Trek original series lately? Or are you unaware you're doing it? The pausing has really been coming on strong in your last few vids. BTW, your vids are great. The analysis is clear and helpful. I've just been distracted by the rather extreme amount of pausing between words in your speech pattern.
I quite like it honestly. I think it increases the clarity. Emphasises the important points more.
who gives a shit
Writing on the board obstructing the view a hindersance in sharing to a weaker player.

@@ChessNetwork Thanks
Can you go back to how you used to make videos?
Gata Kamsky --> beat Alejandro Ramirez 1 decade ago in like the slowest Armageddon with auction in the 2013 USCC
Liren Ding --> likes those cheaters Magnus Carlsen & Garry Kasparov
Part7
Fischer:
It’s time for Magnus Carlsen to eat the s, to humble hself, to withdraw h minions back to Norway and to admit that e's a cheater, baseless accuser, sore loser & thus hypocrite. Otherwise, Magnus Carlsen has to be found liable & banned.
Mercado:
Mmm-hmm.
Fischer:
Look what
Magnus Carlsen did to
-Alexandra Kosteniuk in 2009
Touched 1 rook but moved another.
-Alireza Firouzja in 2019
Muttered causing distraction.
-Ian Nepomniachtchi in 2021
Touched a knight but didn't move it.
Garry Kasparov did to
-Viswanathan Anand in 1995
Slammed a door causing a distraction.
-Judit Polgar in 1994
Let go of a knight but moved it somewhere else.
-Alexei Shirov in 2000
Denied candidates winner's playing for the title.
Now to me, the "bullying cheating" Magnus Carlsen & Garry Kasparov did is worse than the "engine cheating" Hans Niemann supposedly did. You know why?
Mercado:
Why?
Fischer:
Pareto principle. Anyone can engine cheat. Almost only world chess champions / top players can bully cheat and get away with it. You understand?
---
Part8
Mercado:
Yes, I do.
Fischer:
To me that’s worse. Their bullying cheating is worse than Hans Niemann's supposed engine cheating.
-'I say death to' Play Magnus, ches***m & FIDE!
-I say ban Magnus Carlsen!
-I saynoto2900 !
-F Magnus Carlsen!
-F Hikaru Nakamura!
-F Arkady Dvorkovich!
-F Daniel Rensch!
-F Garry Kasparov!
Magnus Carlsen & Garry Kasparov are bullying cheaters.
-They pre-arrange their games and gaslight the reporters.
-They're defamatory, tortious, 'criminal, thieving, lying' b()ds.
-Magnus Carlsen made up the b()ds theory. 'There’s not a word of truth to it.'
-'They are the worst liars and' b()ds.
'Now what goes around comes around.' Praise God, and 'hallelujah. This is a wonderful day.' F Magnus Carlsen. Cry, you crybaby! W()e, you b()d! 'Now your time is coming.'
