  • Featured here is an instructive blitz (5|2) chess game between Gukesh D and Magnus Carlsen from the 2024 Superbet Poland Rapid & Blitz. Gukesh chooses the 150 Attack against Carlsen's Pirc Defense. In response to Gukesh's attacking formation, Carlsen delays the development of his dark-squared bishop, instead focusing on a time-sensitive queenside arrangement.

To be honest I’m more a Gukesh fan than a Magnus fan but of course I recognize how Great Magnus is Jerry has to be the only guy that can show a Magnus game and not sound like a Big Cheer leader Rah Rah Rah Appreciated for his calm demeanor in his voice

I totaly understand your point, im a magnus fan and a norwegian. but even for me it can be to much cheerleading when i watch Magnus recaps. but i don't blame the chess youtubers for using Magnus. if had a Magnus equivalent in my work where i could use it make i little bit more money, i would. But jerry, always a delight to listen to. And if your a Gukesh fan, wow. you have some nice years in front of you:) what a talent.. 17 and in a world chess champion match. insane.

On move 34, wouldn't Qe1+ also just be a fork with the knight on A5 in the scenario you explained? Seems like a much safer and less complicated option to first check and then pick up the knight instead of walking up the king I to a less defensible position

Since you’re lacking brain cells, positions can transpose into other positions. If you actually knew your theory you wouldn’t have commented this but you’re probably 600 elo

You literally know nothing about theory. The position transposed from a modern defense to a pirc. Go study some before trying to correct someone who is obviously better than you
