I'm 58 years old and stumbled on this band by accident. I love the sound and guitar technique. Every instrument blends beautifully. You've really got something there. Thanks!
Love the way the technicality of the guitar work dances around the straight, solid drum beat in this song. Big change from the way the drum parts tended to stick like glue to the phrasing of the guitar riffs on Animals. Really looking forward to the new album!
I got the tab book, Henry's parts are usually in standard save for the acoustic track. As for Tim? Well let's just say be careful with tuning your strings or they might snap
I think that's one of the great things about a lot of post rock and math rock, it is so impressive and beautiful that it appeals to real music fans of any generation. My parents are big fans too!
Can't wait to see y'all in Austin here next week. if any chance Chris, Tim, or Hank read this, please play Adventure, Stamina and Anger for Alex, Thanks guys. Much love.
@stanfordn no I couldnt tell because his face is cut off and because TTNG has another UA-cam account with more videos so I was lil confused. And seeing this extra guitarist who wasn't Stu, and did his own tapping riff, tripped me out further. I honestly thought +3 was their band name lol.
@PVK112 Why does it matter what the time signature is? Animals wasn't that crazy with time signatures in my opinion, and I learned the majority of it on guitar.
man, with tim playing alongside another very good guitar player i cant wait to see what they are able to do instrumentation wise. i know it will be good, that is for sure!
The only thing that struck me about the album version is that part of the groovy feel isn't there any more like there was here. Feels faster on the album, still amazing, but I guess there was something lost? The vocals make it though.
I also got the tab book. I was surprised that Henry's parts were mostly Standard, but god damn, Tim did some really weird shit on this album, hahaha.

How to play the tambourine:
Hit it with a tambourine.
Awesome.
Haha, the song title is a reference to a line in an episode of Regular Show. Awesome
As much as i miss Stu, this is honestly perfection.

REAL MUSIC!!! i fucking love TTNG :D
Even if you dislike the music (I don't know how that would be possible), you just gotta admire the amazing musicianship!!

Well done guys. I'm feelin' this.
Like a jazzier Explosions In The Sky. Really like it!
damn right, you'd best not forget again, boy.
@SunOfNothing123 He uses two different PRS guitars I think. One of which is a PRS Swamp Ash Special. That may or may not be the one he is using here.
my favourite song on the new album!!!

couldbeblue wish they did instrumental releases

that other guy is the lead singer/guitarist from pennines, and stu left the band to take car of his wife and kid. :\
my mouth was open the whole time I watched this. BRING ON THE NEW ALBUM!
So much bass groove.

Regular Show. I love you guys!
SICK!
woohoo! So stoked to hear this guys. Great stuff
fucking outstanding
Just noticed Henry's using a capo on the first fret... curious as the tuning differences between his guitar and Tim's.
At the end theyre all like “wth Chris” XD

the title is so regular show!!! ahahahah
Dat bass.
This is going to be on their new album!
@SunOfNothing123 Haha, no problems! I was curious myself a few months back, so I asked Tim. I wish I could afford one, but they aren't cheap lol.
Stellar
ovation viper iii
@ShadowCrowX lol dude what are you talking about?
I know that. I've been following this band for years. I was just noticing after hearing the album version, that it was faster. It wasn't a criticism.
...I'm starting to be pretty ok with this new guy. Alot.
This video is a year old, so the sound is sure to change as they kept working on the song :0
Perfect ♥
who would dislike this?
i always prefer music clean!! TTNG rule!
Clean
3:18 orrrrrrrrrrrrrgh
Very nice! Is that one of those metal neck basses?
even through poopy audio, that bass tone sounds awesome! U guys ever studio recorded this?
2:25-4:48 = Baller
TTNG: what's a guitar pick?
I still miss Tim's PRS + ENGL
:'D
6/4?
what type of guitar does henry have?
Ad infinitum.
What guitar does Tim use?
Who else thought they were a good guitar player and then watched this and had a cry wank?
Why can't we hear the vocals? Or is he just whispering?
Still though, nothing touches American Don.
