  • Visiting the island of Hvar was a well planned adventure. Everything else that came with it, was not. In this travel vlog I got more than I bargained for when absolutely everything that could've went wrong on our overnight trip to Hvar, did.
Croatia is a beautiful country with hundreds of beautiful islands, amazing people and small towns everywhere! The one thing Croatia struggles with, is its transportation network. Starting from the first minute of our journey everything went sideways. Getting to the town, the emptiness of it and the uncertainty of making it back to the mainland made this feel like the craziest of our travel adventures thus far!
This travel vlog is different than most I create, it's raw and real. I didn't get to see or do much and that's how travel goes from time to time. After this vlog I now intend to make more like this one in the future. If you enjoyed this video consider a like, subscribing and letting me know your thoughts!

Ferry cancellation are common that time of year due to the strong north wind (bura). The undercurrent in the Adriatic is strong during a bura and can make some routes unsafe.

Great to see both of you again! One option you could consider; when I traveled for business, and in a weird situation or little time, I would stop at the nearest hotel and speak with the folks there about what to do in a short amount of time like you are doing off season or just ask 'what is going on?". It could save you a bit of time especially since you plan to go to places off the beaten track. It doesn't matter that your not staying at the hotel, you can stop in and you are most likely to find an English speaker there as well.

That a fantastic idea, I never thought of that! Unfortunately in this instance even all the hotels that we seen were closed haha. I’ll remember that in the future though. 😁

Relaxing is nice but I can relax anywhere, if I’m spending the time and money to come to a place I do want something to do. I didn’t expect Hvar to be packed but I did expect more than 2 places open. I did enjoy the unique experience however 😃

its allways 2 opposite extremes in dalmatia ,winter ghost town summer hordes of turists , so my advice to you as dalmatian just relax and enjoy. It is lifestyle to be relaxed and to take it easy(polako)
