Why are you bringing in heavy weights? I'm saying whatever the weights (as he is recommending light weights for an explosive exercise, as it should be) but WITH proper form. Which he lacks. And there's never an excuse for it other than the athlete's lack of respect for it. As to the last part.. Just because we've seen big guys give horrible advice, doesn't mean we ought to just tolerate it and let it slide. "Oh, he's big and muscular.. he obviously knows how this lifting thing works"... Sigh.
Dude, Terry Crews has GOT to be one of the coolest, funny, most laid back, hip cats out there. Don't see any ego, but a whole lot of optimism and focus. Mad respect for this guy. Can't wait to see E2!
Even though ive only seen him in small parts Terry Crews has always been one of my favorite actors, the guys hilarious and plays his roles well. Then to see him as himself like this shows that he seems to also be a really cool guy in general, you can tell he was putting an effort into making sure he passed on good knowledge in this video instead of just using it as an extended ad for the movie.
I am glad he said to use very low weight or rather just the bar. People please, and I mean the majority of gym members, just take this footage as a piece of entertainment. The things he is doing require 110% control over you body, total strength and a LOT of experience. Stick to your usal workout routines with nice, slow and clean form. If you want to do what Terry is doing you gotta first build up your body and stretch as much as possible to minimize the risk of snapping your muscles. Peace out, an actually caring viewer.
Terry Crews just has a really great positive energy, aside from just muscle gains, that something I want to gain too. I feel like I'm negative as hell. Going to try his routine this week.
Funniest thing I've read all day are the comments on how he can improve his workout or the he's doing it wrong comments...Not one person commenting is as big as this dude but have all kinds of advice. I'd say when or if you get to his level then make a comment on how he can improve something...Don't take it personal, just take it!
I agree he is in great shape. He starts out he workout at 7.0 for 30 minutes. The moment I see a negative comment I quit reading and just watch more videos. Terry Crews keep doing your thing god bless.
I agree he is in great shape. He starts out he workout at 7.0 for 30 minutes. The moment I see a negative comment I quit reading and just watch more videos. Terry Crews keep doing your thing god bless.
nah, its the pre warm up to get you ready for the warm up, which gets you ready for the pre work out so you can be ready for the work out and has a post work out which consists of a 60 minute cool down exercise by running up hills, but its okay because you walk back down, backwards, on your hands, with ankle weights
Love this cat but @ 2:12 when he says use a close grip that is BAD BAD BAD. Using a grip that is closer than shoulder width will cause your shoulders to rotate inwards upon lifting the weight to your chin and over time will cause some serious snap action and shoulder tendonitis. His form on the upright rows is terrible too :\ Completely bending down and hopping back up using momentum to bring it up.
@@kristjan2130 I used to think the same till I got into intermittent fasting, look into it,fledge fitness has a good channel on you tube.t crews does alot of hiit training and compound movement exercises.
I think metabolism is a big thing. I tried this diet and lost 25 pounds of muscle from 185-160 in 2 months. What you eat is a lot easier to learn from others but how much I think is best for you to realize yourself.
No ab days? or does he do abs on weekend? Im curious because i have a lower back problem and one of the only workouts i can do without burning my back too much is specific ab crunches, but i do this everyday. I know your supposed to have 48 hours rest between working out regions, but i heard somewhere its ok to do abs daily. Is this true? is it ok to only have 24 hours rest between ab workouts?
From what I'm aware of, you can get away with doing Abs and Calves every day, because they are made to withstand that. Other muscles of your body you should give the rest you are talking about.
You can indeed work your abdominal region (also called the "core") every day. I personally don't do it though, because that can end up getting your abs looking disproportionate to the rest of you body. In fact, when you do the type of training Terry Crews describes here, there's no need to even do any abs workout. This is because these exercises also work the core. A lot of exercises do in fact.
gitsurfer27 Lose your fat then. You can't really tone any specific part of your body. Your body will lose fat and gain fat where it wishes. You want toned abs, go cardio.
anyone else wonder, how the crap does he have that muscle mass and fullness on that diet he described?? I mean, super high protein, but shit man where are the calories coming from to feed those biceps?!
Yeah I was wondering too, the way he said about just couple of shakes and a salad some apples and vitamins i dont hink that will go over 1000 cal unless he is eating a whole bag of apples plus a kilo of salad with lots of cheese or cream...lol
RussX5Z You made your point, your atheist. Now you can go to sleep and maybe tomorrow you'll be able to find another comment on a totally different topic where someone sarcastically brings up Jesus and make it know to everyone that you don't think hes real so everyone knows that your not a conformist. Man it must be cool to be so much different than everybody else, trolling youtube wearing skinny jeans and drinking your boxed wine.
Wow. I mentioned him in many movies and series, but after this clip he is on of my heros now. So down to earth and sympathetic! I will do the 24s next training day. I work out only one day a week but then... every muscle group.
He's cool and this is cool... But this could be unsafe if you are not in a majority of control... This is for like an advance to expert fitness person.
Exactly! This is a very good intermediate to advance workout. Even with just the bar a beginner could really mess up his/her back. I was cringing when he started the jump squats. You need a good "core" foundation to begin with for these sets of exercises. I do kettlebell workouts for my core. The Turkish Getup is my fav love/hate exercise.
As long as you take in lots of protein, muscles will be happy. I love that motivational speech at the end. Thanks Terry! Will definitely become stronger.
You can see he just has naturally small shoulders, pretty sure if he tried to make em bigger they would balloon out rather than get bigger in diameter or whatever
It's just genetics. Genetically shoulders are my best part, I am pretty much widest in the gym, with biggest shoulder, but my friend has stronger shoulders than me for at least 20% even though they are not that good. Shoulders are calves are influenced by genetics a lot.
I love this guy. He seems like he is down to earth and hardworking. Some people on here are complaining about his form. He was a professional athlete. That is how he was taught to train for football and he was very good at what he did. He is not a personal trainer.
Exactly, Mr. Crews, "use lighter weights"! He's a monster and he can throw that much weight around. Those exercises would be great with light weight to prevent injury. Great motivational video with nutrition included. Very helpful.
Terry's got it right. Great exercises to develop power in the muscles and good size. Just get your diet in place and this kind of training will give you amazing results.
Hey Terry, OMG I just found all your Old spice commercials on the tube by accident , My hubby wears OS and I love it on Him... we were cracking up for a hour watching you... they are the best!!!! and what can I say about the Expendables .?? they should have it up tp 10 now.. LOVE the Movie ... Best cast ever .... (24) workout Great I did it with just the bar .. and I was winded big time... Many thanks ... better late then never just found this vid...
"Don't bang the weights, you gotta be conscious of the floor" = much respect Terry Crews. Much respect.
THEFRISKIESTDINGO I too felt respect, until he said "you don't have to go past your knees" for RDL..
poolkrooni Holy shit! I was watching the video, then EXACTLY when I read your comment, he says it. O.o
THEFRISKIESTDINGO the floor has feelings too.
Unless... one had proper form : o

This is the only man I would accept to be the next Terminator model.
The thing I like the most about Terry is he is genuine and such a chill guy
Im guessing thats his pre warm up to his euro training
"Even if you start off with just the bar, thats real cool man"...Well said, Well said.

I love Terry Crews- he has charisma akin to the Rock's but without the arrogance! Seems like a cool dude.
Don’t compare him with THE ROCK ,he is the single badass motherfucker in the industry

^^^^ SO TRUE - I tried to be a bad ass and got tennis elbow. take care, go slow.
Agreed. Using herky jerky movements is a good way to get injured. Your reps should be smooth and controlled.
44 years old and still doing it. Thanks Terry for representing the older crowd.
