I've seen this type of skirt that has a lot of volume and never known how to do it but now I know the secret is interfacing! It's so smart to line it with the same fabric !! ☺️
Ok so I just bought my very first sewing machine and I’ve only ever made a (horrible) tote bag but I’m so excited to learn. I love everything you’ve made so far!
You are a great teacher, pleasant and to the point. Thanks for sharing. I hope I succeed in my 10 panel dress. I want to put the panels from my knee to the bottom. God bless you. Greetings from Cameroon
Thank you, I used your design as an inspiration to create a full length plus size skirt to wear to my birthday party last night. It was work to create so much cutting and ironing but it had an impact. I'm going to take it in in the waist and I have plans to include a light flowing fabric that just pops out from under the petals to show off the skirts structure. xx Bella
Hey! It really helps to make sure your audio is at an equal volume through the video! You can most likely adjust the individual clips and their volume to match the other clips! This helps the quality of your video greatly, and keeps anyone from getting an earache :) thanks for the tutorial! Loved it
This far exceeded my expectations when I made the Google search! Thank you sister for sharing your gift with me! I am new to trying to sew clothes. I plan to make this dress as my 2 piece of clothing ever for my sister for this Christmas. You have made it plain and easy enough to understand, and the result is absolutely beautiful! Thank you again for sharing your gift with me! UA-cam has taught me to see mostly and I am so happy to now be subscribed to you ❤️!
I used a circle skirt pattern and divided each panel into 9pcs just like your but I did a separate lining but like the way you did it better. My hem is straight and not curved like yours, and I like that look on the skirt so I will be using it next time. Thanks
Thank you so muvh madam... Hope to see more videos from you... I love the top part too it's so elegand the while dress us perfext... Thank you so much and God Bless
Hola!
thanks for this video. but we didnt see how you went about the top? i am a new bee just trying to start learning how to sew. pls explain to me how you made the top part of the dress. thank you.
Thank you very much for this, I love it! Please do more! Okay so I watched the video are you sure it is just 9 panels that we need to cut or is it 18 because you have one panel on the back and front of the interfacing and if that is so, that is 9 times 2 not 9. Just trying to make sure I understand it well before I try to make it... but I will try to make it today, too bad I can't post a picture to show my results.
I know this is an older video, but how did you decide the width of the year drop shape? You mentioned width (waist/9 with allowance) and the length but not that measurement
Hey Chichi. I'm new here.. please tell me what kind of fabric you are using here. It will help me a lot.... Love the way you are teaching or making. It is helpful 😊😘😘😘
@chichi Do you cut a total of 18 panels 9 for the lining and 9 for the skirt part of the dress. I saw in the video, that you lined the skirt by sewing a sandwich for each panel with fabric, interfacing and lining?
Hi chichi, I know this video has been a while but I hope you can answer me. The first paper u showed us the measurements on, how did u get to measure and cut that to start with.
Hello I love the results but you left out information here, like the measurement or how you got the measurement for the bottom of each panel also how you determined how wide each panel is. I saw you told someone else to go search other videos but that doesnt help here in this case. Thank you!!
Hi. Lovely work! I'm a little lost though, if you lined each panel with another panel, does that mean you cut out 18 panels and each panel had 2 layers of extra interface?
Thank you so much i have been searching for this pattern for so long God bless you this is Epic 👌👌👌👌
