Ive been using scratch on and off for about 6 years, I just recently found out that per sprite variables are also per clone variables… It took me about two hours to find out THAT was why my code wasnt working. Looks like its time to relearn the basics, because I obviously missed some stuff. Thanks for the fast paced straight to the point videos, they are very entertaining and extremely well edited! :D
tip, Do a create clone and in the start as clone, put make a clone of yourself and delete clone. Your game will run very well, and your friends will be impressed.

Visual scripting seems pretty underrated, after learning Choo-Choo Charles was made completely with Unreal's visual scripting language, I'm now a believer. Even if you end up writing code later on, it's still probably faster for prototyping.

Scratch has tutorials for games, on the top middle right next to “See Project”! (Im not sure how good they are, I dont really remember what they are like. Still, check them out, they could be a great resource for learning and for helping you find an idea, or making a game for your project!) An I dea I have off the top of my head is a simple clicker game, dont worry about making it too fancy, also there are TONS of tutorials online for other simple scratch games! And tons of ideas you can look up! Good luck on your project, I hope you learn to love scratch as much as the rest of us :D Ps. Thank you very much this is so nice. It makes me question something though. The speed of how fast they move is from the pixel of x and y. Is it possible to make the cat move faster everytime it get a banana? And for the bat to move faster after certain time passed? If its possible how to create that?
To make the cat go faster, you can create a variable for all sprites named cat speed that set cat speed to 5 when green flag clicked and put a if touching banana then change cat speed by 1 or whatever you want then replace all the change Ys and change Xs in the cat sprite with cat speed and for the negatives do a 0-cat speed to make it negative
