When you said "brand new coil for a P72" I was thinking my goodness I never knew there was a 72! I think my face contorted quite a bit! Beauty stash there Tinman! Thats pretty neat that old 600/620 cylinder! Ive got a nice bit of Husky, Homelite, a bunch of Poulan cyl, some Stihl...Very nice. Thanks for showing off your stash!

Looks like you stuck a small part of the mother load. I would start with the junkie parts to get a good recipe, and work towards the good nos part. Been doin that with sp 125 parts I've gathered for 40 years although there all stock. Lookin forward to this build.. thanks for sharing your time with us...

Glad that you were able get all of those NOS parts. I think trying out the "Lil Red Barn" first sounds like a good plan. Will be excited to see how that works out.

Hey Tinman! How's she goin. At about 10 minutes in, you showed points and a doo-hicky. I may be wrong, but I think that was a condenser and oil pump part??? Nice haul! It's probably the last load in captivity. Thanks for sharing with us!

Havnt used a lil red barn piston yet but have a couple on the shelf. Just built a 2100 with a Vec piston which looks oddly exactly the same as the lil red pistons. Had to clean abunch of casting flash from the windows and lower edges, had to file the inside wrist pin bosses as they were too narrow to fit over the connecting rod and had to use the oem wrist pin due to a rust pit on the vec pin that had been tried to polish out. Used caber rings also but got the saw running after some mold porting and seems to be holding up good.

Beautiful stuff there buddy . I would build a clean stock saw with those nice parts and enjoy it for what it is . Be careful with the little red bombs. They can be very fickle. Awesome stuff Tinman 🇦🇺✊🏻

Prepping for winter is so important. My garage is the same way. I really need to decide what I am doing in there. It's become a catch all for precious garbage. In the meantime, I have stuff that should be in there in my living room. Yes I am single. haha.

lol I’d love to see what you could do with my little pioneer 1110. All I’ve done is take the baffle plate outta the muffler. But I really need an air cleaner or a line to a company that can re-flock the one I have…ooor the knowledge of how to do it myself 😂😂 I’ve only got one roached stock filter

Looks like you have got the mother load parts box there. I say, if you've got salvageable parts from a doner saw, give them a go. If no worky, go on with the others.

I am very jealus! But very good collection! I would tear down all p40-41 may has some useable cylinder and use it with the little red baron piston first. If the recipe is good try the nos cylinder-piston combo ;)

I'd be working on the beater saw first. Then I'd work on the used cylinder and make a runner out of it. I'd keep the nos cylinder and piston for a restoration. I'm sure you'll make them go what ever you do.

Years back I bought an RC engine online When it arrived at my shop I was really busy and just signed for it and set it aside. That evening I unboxed it to find out that the shipping department just threw it in the box and slapped a label on it. Reed block was cracked 😮. I contacted the seller and he said get a new one and he would return it my expenses. Six months later I was returning home on Sunday after flying in the western Adirondack area and there were cars parked outside the saw shop. This is literally in the middle of nowhere, so I turned around and walked in with a reed block stuck on my finger. Guy asked if he could help and I held up my finger and said “any idea what this is, and he promptly responded with “ P-51 pioneer “. I asked him what that was and he replied . He dug through boxes of “stuff “ on the top of his parts shelf for around fifteen minutes before he gave up. But he gave me a lead to a vendor and after three phone calls I got a NOS part sent to me 😊. This is the first time I’ve ever seen one, but I have a 160 mph racing engine.built from a P51! Thought you might have had similar experiences…. And about getting ready for the white stuff, I Still have mud bogs where I am trying to put parking in and a couple of short roads at home. Four loads of crushed rock and I still get stuck. Two loads tomorrow and maybe I can get it firmed up enough for now……

Red barn stuff is ok, my homie 150 piston from them piston pin bores were rod slides between was crooked and would only go half way in had to grind the bores to get rod into piston, sketchy stuff

hey Tinman, im trying to decide between a Hyway or Meteor piston in an oem husqvarna 372 cylinder. I like the Hyway popup, but know the Meteors are better quality. Do the Hyway pistons hold up well for you without wearing out quickly?
