Gothic 3 Walkthrough - Part 1 (Learn Quickly at lvl 1)

Welcome to the first episode of my Gothic 3 walkthrough without commentary (annotated).
I'm running the game at 21:9 ratio and it's recorded at 2560x1080 resolution. So for you having an ultrawide will have better experience watching, those of you who don't will have to do with the bezels.
I will try to make this a 100% walkthrough but of course it won't be flawless and I'm sure there are some things that could be done better with better efficiency so bear that in mind. I'm also gonna play it to enjoy it, not only try to make it "perfect" :)

nice starter guide for a non mage character. Took me 3 runs to remember all locations. Also there is Lester in al-shedim digging near the Orcs camp and he gives you 2 more tablets.

Good job with the video! I like that you explain what you do next in the walkthrough. I only wish that certain parts of the video (like the swimming or the walk to Al Shedim) could be skipped (maybe with a timestamp?) or fast-forwarded to a specific point without worrying too much. There isn't a whole lot happening during those times and it's tiring for those that have played the game. Still, you made a good video.^^

I thought about fast-forwarding but then it wouldn't be as "immersive" I thought, so I just let it like this. You can just enjoy the music or something lol.
The next episodes (coming very soon lol) won't be like this ofc, it will have a lot more action, dialogues etc so there won't be a need for this anymore ^^

I played G3 maybe 10+ years ago, I can't remember that Varant was so huge and various though. Is this the original map or with some landscape mods installed?

Glad you liked it, this is indeed the original map, there isn't any additional landscape added (don't think there are such mods yet for G3)
I actually had to take a break due to real-life issues, might return to the walkthrough tho if there are people interested ^^

You can see he had alternative balancing on at the start of the video, with alternative balancing off its much easier since tablets give you more AK. But the game in general is better with it on, it balances the game well.

What does the rebalance mod? I coudnt find any description.

Do you mean the Rebalance mod in the "Tweaks & Rebalances"? It boosts melee and archer slightly, improving damage of some weapons, improving some rings, and plenty of other stuff.
You can check the description if you click on the mod in the mds.exe program, it's in Russian but the google translator does a pretty good job :)
