I really wish there were more people in politics like Bernie. He's such an honest person who tells it like it is from a workers perspective. He's such a genuine human who happens to be in politics. We have seen how the opinion of Biden has changed because he couldn't do what he promised.
It felt like Seth corrected himself when he started to say unforgivable and changed it to unforgettable. I think that’s really important: because it HAS to be forgivable. The past has to be forgiven to move beyond revenge. The revenge has to be let it go in the context of an eye for an eye; it really will leave everyone dead otherwise.

@@latronquiI can't speak as to the international community, but my own observation about my fellow Americans is that we are heavily conditioned to believe the "us vs them" and "you're with us, or you're against us" narrative.
A great example of this is Democrat vs Republican. Fully 51% of Americans are registered either as Independent or not registered to vote at all, due to lack of faith in either the Democratic or Republican parties. But both Democrat and Republican supports will confident declare that their own side has "at least 50%" of Americans supporting it. If you say anything against a Democrat, Democrat supporters hear "I support Republicans". If you say anything against a Republican, Republican supports will hear "I support Democrats".
We are conditioned to believe it has to be Either 1 or 2, A or B, Us or Them, because that belief divides us and helps keep the powerful in power.
it's such a breath of fresh air compared to most of the rhetoric around Israel. people get so unhinged about any criticism of Israel's government, it's so refreshing to see somebody being reasonable in condemning both sides of the problem.

I met Bernie when he was running in 2016. He was just as you see him here....kind, decent, factual, knowledgable, compassionate and a gentleman. I shook his hand backstage at the Bill Maher Show where he was to be interviewed.

Thank you, Bernie, for not mindlessly calling for ceasefire without recognizing Hamas's role in how this started and for stating that Hamas cannot be part of the two state solution. Of course, we are all sad about innocent lives being destroyed in this conflict on both sides, but far too many on the left ignore Hamas's role as a terrorist organization that needs to be dismantled.

My family calls our healthcare system Polite Genocide for the buck. 30 years ago my 36 year old wife denied chemotherapy due to pre Existing Conditions we were not aware of until arriving at the emergency room. She passed away a year later from breast cancer.

I absolutely love Bernie and voted for him in both elections. However, I DO think Biden is much better at working bipartisan and reaching across the aisle to get more done. Which is what you have to do to get anything done in Congress.
I support Bernie’s policies much more- but I think he is divisive in both parties and would have had a harder time getting anything done.
Biden on the other hand was able to be the most progressive president we’ve had since FDR- and much of that was just from his ability to negotiate and be centrist.
That balance between idealism and practicality. If you are too rigid, nothing will progress at all.
But I do wish he could have worked out in a different election and a different Congress not infected with trumpers. He would be a great leader
