Can you imagine what parents today must think of this? Some of them probably had those Tonka toy vehicles when they were kids, and where they might be watching these restoration videos with their own kids, and all the while the grandparents must be looking on remembering those days as well, seeing their grown up kids with now their own kids.
@@colwild I've still got mine and an old mystery machine scooby do van and even my old metal pedal car (196? Charger). Lol thank God mom didn't throw those away. Stay safe, cheers
I have 1972 mighty crane, but it looks a lot better than this dump truck did. If you're ever ble to get your hands on a mighty crane, I would absolutely love to see that one get restored because man this is satisfying to watch
Tonka needs to send you a t-shirt or something! I had this truck(who didn't). Sitting in the dump bed and rolling down the hill. great memories. Thanks for bringing this ole' truck back to life
Some positive about your work is, your sandblaster is always cleaner, brighter and seeable, unlike most other resto guys. Your final product is great. The negative is, you sometimes skip on proper cleaning of the wheels, like here. You should take the wheels out of the tires and clean them properly. Your final assembly on that hard scratchable surface makes me pull my hair. Lol.. Use a towel to assemble the final product on. Your DIY paint booth is clever. 👍
Great restoration (as always). I just picked up a 1920s Gerard Pressed Steel Truck and I'm looking forward to spending some quality time bringing it back to life. Best wishes and keep healthy.
Loved it, good job

I had that truck when I was a child. How wonderful is to watch it again like if it just had left the store.
👍
Dude I did too it was actually indestructible
The bigger the truck, the greater the joy of completion.
I had that truck when I was a kid. It was my toy man, my favorite toy. Thank you for doing this right.
Very thorough
So that everyone can do it.
You didn't have a complete childhood if you didn't have one of these as a kid!

I have a picture of my two year old brother standing in the bed of one of these trucks! Just amazing craftsmanship. Beautiful restore.
My favorite part of the restoration is the sandblasting watching all that rust and old paint disappear right before your eyes!! Simply amazing
Such a calming affect seeing something restored from trash to treasure.

Jon Doe nope. You read it right

Круть просто бомба

AWESOME
I was about ready to purchase my sandblasted and oven, when I discovered that children don’t play with metal toys any more.
once you restore it you wouldn’t want a kid to play with it . I have a feeling he just did it for the satisfaction and nostalgia.
Great job. My restoration is also interesting ❤️
Fun fact
No one searched for this
