I would be so lost without my monthly budget, how do you know what you have and what you're spending if you can't see it? It takes VERY little time to draw up a simple plan of income and outgoings and makes life SO much easier. Great advice from Rachel &, as always, Josh & Ryan!
😊 So happy, you mentioned freedom, when it comes to money, because I think that is exactly what's been holding me-- and tons of other people back from saving and get a grip on our spending
Regularly give your time, not your money. It’s something everyone can do regardless of income level. Pick up trash on your street, visit a neighbor, volunteer at a non profit. You’ll get to directly know how your time was spent and how it benefits others.
Firstly thank you guys for the daily inspiration that motivates me to stay on the minimalist path :). You're videos and talks are always so informative and eye-opening. Do you have any advice for a freelancer who's income is VERY sporadic. It's hard to create a budget at the "beginning" of the month when I actually don't know who's going to pay me and when (every business I work for is different and I can't anticipate late payments, for example). TIA x
Hey Dawn! My wife and I saved up enough money to cover a whole month and now our income is the next month's budget money. We use EveryDollar to budget. So February's income is all spent/saved in March. That way it can't fluctuate on us. Hope that's helpful!

This is a good episode again.
it's awesome. Congratulations.
I’m good at giving, 10% of every check, my issue is spending.
