Tom wrote this song sitting on his porch smoking his last cigarette with $10 in his pocket. Him and Nova had their power shut off and were using an extension cord from the neighbor. He came inside and told Nova he wrote the song that would change their life. He recorded it and Nova shot and edited the video with one light. He borrowed money from his family and Brandon Hart to push the video. The rest is history.

Did you know Tom has a full album and several songs later on with Madchild? Madchild had an epic battle with Daylyt on King of the Dot and was a part of Swollen Members. Their song Sober that also fts Nova Rockafeller (Tom's GF) is the first song I heard from Tom and it played for the first time as I was about to relapse and it literally stopped me from relapsing, it was like a sign and I've been HOG since. Very important song. Not sure if you are going in order or what the plan is but that's definitely a song you should check out

I think people wanted you to listen to this because it’s the song that he went viral on. He was dead broke when he wrote this so a lot of people use it as the beginning of the rabbit hole. People really started to call him racist when Whiteboy came out. A lot of people didn’t really listen to the lyrics and what he was trying to say. All his songs have a message, so no matter what he says it will always offend somebody.

This is the song that blew him up. This song went viral overnight. He was living in Crenshaw at the time living like he says in God Mode. They had no power at the time and had to hook up to their neighbours house(with his neighbours permission lol)
I grew up on tupac ..even the songs talking about drugs and stuff had a meaning behind it songs about sex was about love and a story...thought rap was over for the longest time then i found tom and now its HOG for life

I think the reason people told you to watch this video has to do with this is the first viral video that really blew him up and started him down the journey he's on now. He made this after having a mental breakdown from being an alcoholic and doing drugs, and recovering. But yes people were calling him racist and a culture vulture after making this song because he was attacking the culture, their words not mine.
