I think this performance is one of the bravest things that I’ve ever seen a man do. Sir Cliff’s body language, his breathing, and occasionally his voice show how anguished he was over the loss of a longtime dear friend. Yet he performs this wonderful song beautifully. This clip always touches me deeply.

Nicholas Hill I love Cliff’s music, but what I really see in him is a humble Christian man who truly loves God with his actions. I began to read what others said about him, and he is truly loved by all who have worked with him. My favorite famous person. He deserves all he has been given! His friends say he is pure joy to be around....how I would love to be like that! Wish I could meet him just to say what a wonderful example of a Christian he is...

It certainly does not include making oneself an idol of millions, promoting the lie that Christmas is a Christian observance, (ditto Easter), amassing huge wealth, being determined to make a prominent name for oneself in an industry that lionises vanity, extravagance,pride, self promotion and hubris to name but a few of the many UN christian aspects of fame, and yet these are all things that Harry has done with the kind of zeal many an Old testament prophet would admire!

I've only just brought myself to watch this - knowing how close Cliff and Villa were and how emotional he gets. He was going through his own tough time too. Don't know how he managed to get through this but he did. He is an amazing and awesome man not just a singer. He is a true Christian and a very loyal and trusty friend. May God bless Cliff and may Villa RIP.

I remember when you first went to England , it didnt take very long for us to hear you and love you .
I saw you once in real life , it was in 1973 in a tv studio in Perth , Western Australia .
You got every one singing except me , I couldnt open my mouth . Think I was so impressed with you . You spoke to me asked me why I was not singing , All I could do was shake my head . You gave me a lovely smile , truely beautiful natural , not for the press or to impress any one , it did impress me , it was so beautiful . Genuine , real .
Years later I told my sister in law in England , she was so jealous , she was a huge fan of yours and still is .
Please keep singing to us and know you are loved and valued , the gutter press etc have not tainted you , we know who you are and we love you . xxxx

Oh my goodness that was simply beautiful. I loved both Cilla Black and Cliff Richard. I saw him in a concert held in Adelaide must be 40 years ago now and will always remember how electrifying he was. HaHa he’s still got it. Cilla would have loved that song. He sounds like an Angel. I’ve never heard that song before and yet it in my heart I thought I knew it. Cliff’s voice felt like a cotton wool cloud comforting our souls as he sang of our Saviour Jesus Christ 🕊🙏🕊

It is very sad to sing at your good friend’s funeral.
I've sung at several funerals and memorial services, and if there's ONE job I HATE that's IT.
It's not quite so bad at memorial services,as there's no coffin.but an actual funeral is heart breaking cos you KNOW it's a final goodbye, you feel the most awful pain and YET you give it your ALL, simply because it's the last thing you can do for your deceased friend/ family member, and in this case, in addition to all of that, Sir Cliffs many years of performing anyway would have been an additional help,but it wouldn't have taken away his pain at the loss of his beloved friend Cilla. I admire his courage for singing this without a piano, organ or guitar

@@lizb853 Cilla had been close to him as she also lived in Barbados. I feel Cilla loved to be very close to Cliff as she often asked him to give her a ride. I don’t know whether she was single before she died.
