I so enjoyed this interview with Cliff....laughed and laughed....... and the fact that he has kept his faith in God.. I am now 76 but I was always a great fan of your music...may the Lord bless you and may you continue talking about your faith no matter what the world says.
He's a Paedophile
He is great ,he was my first pop star love.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
But what was happening with Cliff and the Elm Street brothel? His name is on the list? Im not saying he is guilty but I dont know why he was on this guest list?
@@strikerorwell9232 and a police investigation into certain acts was swiftly stopped 🤔
Same reason his friend Jimmy Saville never got married .
Parky was a great interviewer. He just let the guests chat, it always came across as nice and relaxed ❤😊
VALE Parky, a classic professional interviewer, the world's loss.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That’s the first time I’ve heard Cliff interviewed what an absolute fabulous bloke he is. I really enjoyed hearing him. Thank you.
Friend of the Kray twins, Jimmy Savile, Rolf Harris and every other celeb paedo you can think of. He was a regular visiter to the Elm Guest House where men would meet up to sexually abuse young boys. He would book in under his nick name "Kitty". He purposely moved to a country where there is no extradition treaty in place after the police raided his house in Britain. It will all come out when he dies, as it always does. Yes what a lovely bloke you fool.
And his good friend was Jimmy saville .

Absolutely delightful. The first time I hear / see such an interview with Cliff. The whole thing was great. 10/10.
Lovely to have a sensible honest conversation, what a fantastic artist with plenty of humour. Keep going Cliff you are loved by many 🙏🏻💕🙏🏻
He still looks so good. I loved the Lords prayer. He is just a fabulous persln

What a terrific interview- thank you Cliff for your music over all the years. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What a real gentleman and still a great singer . Love his humour too
Cliff sang the words, "I am a bachelor boy, until my dying day' ❤❤❤❤

A huge part of my ' music life ' from the 60's and through the 70's especially. Wonderful memories - thank you Cliff Richard 😁🙏.

So gracious of Sir Cliff Richard to acknowledge and honour the late Elvis Presley, 🙏

So what
Elton John Freddie Mercury swang the other side also and people still support there shows
Can’t wait to see him in his concert in Australia next year. He brings back so many wonderful memories. God bless Cliff Richard.
I di see him in Sydney many years ago. It was theeee best concert ever. No pre act person only him. He was on stage the whole time even gave extra. It was way way over worth for the money. He was absolutely fab. Enjoy every moment. I never ever thought I see him live concert as I grew up behind the iron curtain. But at my sister wedding at 14 years of age bit tipsy climed up to the piano and sang "Congratulation" in Hungarian. I was a hit. Great memories.😊🎉
I envy you.
He's 84 years old now. Not going to be anywhere near the vibrancy of his concerts of yesteryear. I've seen him a few times but nah...they should all retire before 75 imo. Saw Tom Jones a few years back. Whilst his voice was still pretty good he could barely move on stage with little chat.
I feel great listening to our great SINGER SIR,
CLIFF RICHARD GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS

Jimmy savilles mate . You haven't done much research about this guy have you .
That doesn't mean anything . Many people wouldn't have known about Jimmy Savilles secret life. I know lots of different people but don't necessarily know their secrets
What beautiful music! I still love his voice and love his songs! He will live on in our memory
I have a few of his songs in my Specials playlist ❤
The reason he never married was because he was born in the UK and I was born is South Africa and so we never stood a chance. That's my version.
As far as I know he was born in India.

I love how Cliff Richard answered the questions on marriage - he is as always a consummate gentleman and a delight
Positive upbeat uplifting
He prefers a disgraced catholic preist to marriage
I was born in 1964 and listened to Cliff since I can remember. ❤❤❤
I grew up with Sir Richard. He is two months older than me. Happy memories
Dear Cliff, Our generation simply loved your songs. In fact we still listen to your songs in India
Apart from the women he used along the way when it wasn’t that trendy .
Happy songs and I love them more as time passes
Well he was born in India.

"MOVE IT" is in fact timeless. That could be a hit on any epoch 👍💯
No one can take the place of Elvis Presley.but cliff is a great guy & performer & People love him all the same. I mean summer holiday is still a classic . 🎤
No one shall replace Cliff.
Elvis was a good singer, but a Gospel singer, in reality.
His last five years output was shite poor, out of breath when live performing, and obese and unfit.
Cliff idolised him, but rarely, and this is one of those times, the pupil betters the master.
Elvis simply could not lace Cliff's boots.
You’re talking nonsense. Elvis last 5 years of his career, he recorded some of his best music. Elvis only started putting on weight from about 1975 onwards and a lot of that was water retention. The reason Elvis might sometimes get of breathe on stage because he was moving so much on stage to please his fans. Elvis recorded 3 gospel albums in his career. Each one won a Grammy. Elvis has much more charisma, better singer than Cliff. Elvis forever ❤
@Vertigo121 That's a first, for me. An Elvis fan who can read and write.
I make a pass at Elvis, never liked this fellow, his taste and his big hair wife.
@@tupelomiss8315 well no one should TRY to take his place. There is ONE of every person and NONE of us is supposed to be anyone but ourselves. Cliff is NOT Elvis, nor should he be. He was an International super star. He is still standing. God bless
Harry Webb there's a great little British gem of a entertainer, acts, sings, a British treasure for the world to love, good on Cliff.

Getting married is a choice ,not an obligation
A lot of men these days are coming to the same conclusion.
I tried, I really tried, but if you are the only one trying it doesnt work. It is much more peaceful alone for a man. The plus side is I have two wonderful daughters.
Cliff seems to be just the same person I saw when my sister took me to see him, probably in 1964. My elder sister saw Cliff and the Shadows every year if possible. He is a true performer and has been hounded out of Britain, mainly because he was never married.
Hi I tried the married thing for 4 years, had two darling kids whom I brought up on my own. I love being single.
Not if you're a Muslim in many Islamic countries.
I think he is gay
Of course but imagine not wanting to have children and pass on your genes. It's selfish too.
South African here, I went to Wimbledon in the 80's. Had a ticket for centre court. It rained cats and dogs. Cliff Richard entertained us with songs without any background music. I'll never forget it!

I’ve always liked Cliff but I didn’t realise what a great sense of humour he had. I used to live very close to him when I was an air Stewardess and see his posh car drive past to and fro.
Sir Cliff Richard is coming to Australia and my daughter for my birthday this year is taking me to see him. It’s in November, I am so excited as I have never seen him. Always loved his singing and he is so humble too, a beautiful human being. I can’t wait to see him.
Love you Cliffie! Everyone doesn’t need to get married. You did what’s right for you. Glad you didn’t feel pressured to do it like Michael Jackson.
Or like Elton John Freddie Mercury
I will always adore Cliff Richard.🕊💗
❤ Cliff Richard is class and a gentleman. And a good guy.
Yep a class Paedophile.
I don't care if he.s gay, straight or Australian! He's a gentleman who gives at least 10% of his earnings to charities, not many rich artistes like himself would do that, if they did the world would be a better place. God Bless Sir Cliff Richard.
What's wrong with being Australian? Bloody Strewth.
I did not know that being Australian was a sort of sexual orientation. Lo and behold!
Yes, a true gentleman. So refreshing to listen to a pom who isn't pompous or whinging..😂
You might be surprised at how many artists give a great deal of their earnings away .
G'day mate, I'm Australian.
Cliff is Cliff. He has a total right to be who he wants to be. You don’t have to put a label to him.
@chriswalter6424 so true , his private life is PRIVATE as he always states . He shares his musical talent with us and acknowledges that there is a GOD . He owns us nothing more than that. 🙏💎❤️
Only label he requires is a great human being and artist.
You mean as a Paedophile.
I don't think he has the right to be a Paedophile.

A beautiful man and artist In 1967 and 68 as a young traveller from Australia to UK and europe, Cliff was our most popular music. We sang his songs all over the place, including in the Salt Mines of Saltsburg.
Yes and a total paedophile.
OMG this is old, Joan Rivers is still alive! I saw Cliff at the Rainbow Music Hall in Denver, Co. in 1981. He was wonderful, full of life and energy.

So Did Elvis! No Big Deal! 💞
My British uncle Eric was Cliff's solicitor. That's about as close to stardom as I get.

Good for you Cliff ! It's easier to live single in a good way if that is how life turns out. I am single and have lovely nieces who I can spoil. But I have that freedom of choice to do what I am happy to do. 😊

Hi from Canada…I’m a granny , 76…I remember in 1963 walking along WoodGreen High Road, in London, chatting with 2 school friends….when we realized that that we were walking directly behind Cliff Richard & his mum…this lasted about 5 minutes ……..When suddenly Cliff & his mum stopped dead in their tracks & looked to the left …we got into a bit of a panic , thinking that they would think that they were being stalked by 3 15year old convent school girls, but then we had a reprieve… Cliff & his mum were staring at the sign above the men’s tailor shop….HARRY WEBB…Cliff Richard’s real name….The 3 of us then flew off , liked greased lightning…🇨🇦🇬🇧
@mreale2811 Love your story! :) Mom will be 79 on Friday.. I was born in 1963!:):)
I'm American and only knew of Cliff because my family travelled and worked overseas in the 1960s and 1970s. We kids thought he was great and wondered why he was not promoted in the US. He was literally unknown there and I'd be hard-pressed to find one person who recognized his name. I guess it was just a business decision to focus on a certain audience. I had to chuckle when, around the year 2000, my daughter who was in university, asked me if I had ever seen a movie called Summer Holiday. I thought a bit and asked, "The one with Cliff Richard?" She said, "That's it! Isn't it so much fun?" How on earth did she ever come across that? But she was the one who had an umbrella on which she wrote, "Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows under my umbrella".
Cliff ! what a star and still in the industry. He was a neighbour to my aunt near Ascot when in the Uk.
He seems like a very honest man with a great personality and full of wisdom ....my mom is turning 76 years old and Cliff Richard was her favourite singer back in the day 😊 God bless you Clif Richard 🙏🏻
Just because a person isn’t married, does not make them gay.
Well he was on breakfast TV recently with his boyfriend who was probably 50 years younger, controlled by him and frightened. He's a Paedo anyway and there's much evidence.
it kind of does
@@wallstreet_au you've got to be joking. It's quite an ignorant statement.
He is gay and careful!
Of course it doesn't. However, in this case he is.
I used to play his songs while i was putting up my xmas decorations. He always lifts my mood up and makes me smile 😁
Cliff Richard has said that he has never married because he has been in love but marriage is a big commitment, and being an artist takes up a lot of time
He also said that he is not sure marriage would make him happier
Also Cliff Richard has admitted that he never wanted children because starting a family would have got in the way of his career
It wouldn't be good for him to have children as he's a Paedophile.

Here's a man fully deserving the title, Sir; alas, not the scumbags who ruined this great country. I am in my 50's and have loved your songs, and still do. Such brilliant showmanship! Love from Sri Lanka ❤
My French penfriend was besotted with him. When we were in our early teens, we went to see Roy Orbison at the Talk of the Town, and Cliff was in the audience. We asked him for his autograph and he very graciously signed our books.
You don't have to be a Cliff fan or religious in any way, to just appreciate the fact he hasn't changed over the decades, just a decent person, he doesn't have an ego or been tarnished in any way by the gossip rags, other than the forever boring "is he or isn't he gay" who cares, it was his life, not ours to worry about!
Well when he appears pn breakfast TV with his very young controlled boyfriend then you know he's gay.
2004. How the time flies!
My mom loved cliff Richard n his beautiful music ,shes late now but everytime i hear his songs it brings back lovely memories!
Cliff found much fulfilment in his career because of his faith in Christ....He wasn't alone in his faith..There is no one at this present time who can stand self righteously and judge Cliff..The entire church world wide is in need of renewal... He always needed to defend himself because he was severely criticised and he came under HUGE influences in his life..People are so untrue...He himself would never proclaim himself perfect. He had a following and they made up their minds how he should live and who he should marry...Unfaithful and hyper critical are "so called friends."Cliff is no fool.He spotted foolish people really quickly.Yes ! he caught you out and you do NOT like it..He has a friend in Jesus Christ..and like thousands of people have found Him to be a Friend who sticks closer than a brother.....🎉😊
I have always loved and respected Cliff Richard. He is sweet, funny, honest and loyal to friends and family as well as being a great singer. I saw him live way back when he was about 40. In this interview at 63 he looked fabulous and so youthful. I was really sad for him when he got unjustly accused of being a paedophile. It ruined his life and he did not deserve that.. 🙏
It's amazing, he never went for plastic surgery to look young. He earned every wrinkle.

I'm 78, never married and am perfectly happy. I was never interested and now, I need to take care of me and all my ailments. Good for Sir Cliff. And, yes, like Sir Cliff, I too have been accused of being in the closet and my Christianity has been called into question. That is their problem. Met him in 1967 when he was doing Cinderella with The Shadows.
Happy 78th birthday.

But he is definitely hiding in plain sight of the closer
So what I'd he's gay

Pretty amazing person and artist. I took my teenage daughter to see him when he played in Calgary, Alberta (Canada) - many, many years ago. We waited outside the back stage entrance door and got pretty much face-to-face with him. He was so gracious acknowledging us all. My daughter was too young to really know too much about him (but In was born in England and knew much of him). She came away a believer of his talent :).
Great story! What year?
OMG... I live in Calgary. Wonderful story. Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤❤
Good job your little daughter wasn't a little boy.

I met him once ! I checked him in at airFrance Heathrow. Friendly without celeb attitude !
What a precious icon you are Cliff . You have been Blessed.
What a man .
Bravo Cliff Richard for having the humility to admit that Elvis was the man that kicked that door wide open for other entertainers to walk through. I'm sick of hearing people today who think Michael Jackson was the King of music that no one can touch.
I love Cliff Richard and in spite of the fact we were in awe of Elvis , the first record I ever brought wasn't Elvis's it was Cliff's, the song was "The Minute Your Gone". I couldn't stop playing it when I brought. I was only 13 years old, thought cliff was gorgeous in spite of the fact I loved Elvis too. By the way I am a woman writing on my husband's account.
While Elvis was really something else, my lord we had never seen anything like him, and we were crazy about him, for me personally I didn't like some of his very early hits. That song of cliff's was a beautiful song and Cliff had a lovely soothing voice.
Elvis truly was the "King" but that didn't mean to me I had to love everything he recorded.
Cliff Richard was a sweet and humble man, and I loved many many of his songs, and him.
i wish he'd have the guts to admit he was gay. Shadows Guitarist Bruce Welch said, Cliff has only one thing that concerns him. Does he look good in the Mirror, every morning.
@MrDaiseymay A few years ago I was talking to someone who'd met up with Cliff. At some point in the conversation this chap said 'He isn't gay. He really is asexual'. I can't remember much of the continuing conversaton, my questions etc. but, thinking about it I agreed he was probably right. We may be willing to think somebody is 'over or hyper-sexed, bi-sexual etc.. but seem unwilling to easily believe somebody is just not that interested in sex and so is asexual. Well, it is difficult when a lot of us 'ladies' found Cliff so attractive we thought he was sexy. A natural bias.
I like Cliff but he was really just a pale imitation of Elvis in his early days.He had the sense to change his performing type pretty quickly.
@@davidgibbs7232 Yep, you are absolutely correct. Cliff admitted he wanted to look like Elvis in sound and style. However, he wasn't going anywhere with that. It wasn't till he adopted his own style and voice that his career took off. There was only one Elvis, and he was authentic and unique. Entertainers in music have to be themselves, you cannot endeavour to be a carbon copy of someone else. Cliff was smart in learning that lesson quickly, as you pointed out.
JFC, andy... elvoz-pretzel was a copy-cat... and.. passed on.. constipated.. trying to launch a smelly air-biscuit in his golden loo... golden loo... oohh.. aaahh.. iihhh.. nope... nada... boom... drop... gone

I am an American fan and I have always respected Cliff's attitude regarding being single He has such a positive attitude and doesn't act like being single is a disease. I also respect him because he's a man of faith
Sir Cliff has explained. His life companion is gay, but he is not. They live together, go on holiday together and share their lives together. Still, if Sir Cliff say that he is not gay, I believe him, although thousands wouldn’t.
All this statements about gay or not strange to me read about
I am not gay for instance newer married and so satisfied being a single guy
Hopefully people around me has more important things to talk or slaunder about than my sexsuallity
Seems to me Cliff is a gentleman
And hearing that snip of Sir Cliff Richard's song was rather cute too!
I saw him live in South Africa with the Shadows. It was wonderful I was about 14 or 15 and still remember it like it was yesterday. Although I am 80 now I still listening to his records. ❤ By the way why did they show Parkinson's with the title here now ??
Wonderful interview! Why can't all talk show hosts be like Parky? Unique!
Cliff Richard is NOT Gay
Why do people assume a single man is Gay? Just because he’s single & older ? it’s ridiculous! The same thing was suggested about my brother; and he’s definitely not Gay either
Well it could be because he appeared on breakfast TV some months ago with his boyfriend who was a bout 50 years his junior. He was very controlling towards this frightened looking young man. But apart from that he's been a paedophile abusing young boys for most of his life.Don't you know anything? where have you people been hiding all of your lives.
Yeah, he can't be gay, why would a gay man have sex with one of the Shadow's wife and have an affair with Olivia Newton John? If I was him I would never get married when you could have any woman you want when you want.
Erm because he was on breakfast TV a few months ago with his new young boyfriend who was 50 years his junior, although, he's always preferred young boys, very young boys.
Why would it bother you if others are bothered he's an Iron? 🎵 You're gonna find me, BA BA BA baaa, out in the country, BA BA BA Baaa🎵 Cliff's allwight regardless.
But in reality, that is the case, especially from the religion, the fighting with the fact that they are as we call it bum bandit😮
