This movie is really stupid and it’s a tragedy that Laurence Fishburne had to be in it. It’s completely unrealistic and there’s no way anyone would be sent to space with such poor procedures, no team and no contact with ground control.
I thoughht he was actually in space when he opened the airlock and it counted down in mili-seconds. He opened the airlock and got sucked out, like a moth to the flame remember that quote through the movie!
Yet another addition to the endless stream of movies - seemingly intending to challenge our grasp of reality rather than tell a story. Is this an intentional trend or a mass ego diffusion brought on by a rapidly changing zeitgeist? In either case, it's really a waste of time.
My biggest issue with this movie is now comms , ship says everything fine , pilot is crazy so it should be assumed the ship is fine in that case what happened to earth coms ? The one message we do see is kinda fishy and strange unless thats not real either .

This movie having a plot twist on plot twist was amazing. Loved how the moth to a light had such a great meaning at the end. I almost passed on this movie after the first 10 min but I'm so happy I stayed to finish.
The slingshot manover had nothing to do about the story. Not even TItan. Still unclear why they even sent 1 person only? What was the logic? The story partly came from a sci-fi novel (sorry, maybe short story in english) that was in one of Asimov's anthology (Fahrenheit, or the other) without accident, hibernation but a team. Interstellar, generational ship to Alpha Centauri. And they walked out one by one on their own decision, it was allowed, even more it was their right to do so. Only who gave up and walked out realized he was only part of an experiment. You the reader only realized with the main character at the end.
