I love this episode when Aunt Bee gets a crush on the "medicine man." So wonderfully performed by good acting from both of them. It was hysterical to see the ladies from the church get tipsy! Love it!!!
John Dehner had that suave classically handsome appearance that belied his star talent. A great guest appearance on the finest show in television history. The Andy Griffith show could take the simplest ideas and turn them into magic. Never has a show combined comedy, with such warmth and charm as this iconic gem. Why shows no longer have this blend of writing and talent is our misfortune. No show will ever match it again.
Aunt Bee at the 🎹 piano, looped up, hilarious!!!!! Great episode made by producer's, that know how to ✍️✍️✍️ write!!!!! Where are producer's like this now?????? We need this kind of show's now!!!!!! 🥀🥀🥀🥀. 2022....
I love the scene where John Dehner showed Ron Howard the Indian smoke signals on the Andy Griffith Show .But not seen in this video ) 😭 But I remembered seeing this episode at least twice . And I just love the way that John Dehner did the Indian smoke signals on the Andy Griffith Show !
This reminds me of the Thanksgiving when my dad poured Morgan David wine into a grape juice container and gave mom's mom 7 glasses of it it was the only time n her life she was civil. The next day she asked me what kind of grape juice it was because it took away her rhumatisn she had a little headache that morning but she figures she ate so much the day before.when I took her home she was feeling no pain sge was singing and when she sat in her swivel rocker she went clear around just like aunt bee
That's how much we paid for a doctor's visit in 1974. And my husband complained about it. His wages were $5. an hour, that was pretty good for back then. He was a foreman for the railroad.
I play the andy Griffith theme on my youtube videos, so I am always looking for a mayberry expert to tell me a catch phrase that I missed for my captions,,, 'What is Rock Really Like', is my favorite phrase of all time from this episode
Well l Know that John Denver is good actor and l have seen him some western and that l have always love Andy Griffin and they are always getting to All kind trouble Barnsley getting Andy in to more trouble

One of the classic scenes in TV history.
"Tipsy"? Closer to Blasted! lol
Sugar coated sweet booze! 😇😇🤣😁😁 Back in the day, booze was the cure all. NyQuil take a snort sleep it off.
I've Seen That Guy in Lots Of Programs but I think He was Funniest as ' The Medicine Man'.😊

I agree. The Andy Griffit writers tried to show and reinforce, critical humane values.
No "Hit" shows do that anymore. :(
He played a NAZI German General in Hogan's Heroes.
I love Aunt Bee's jab at Andy with the Gunsmoke reference as John Dehner had done voice work on the radio show some years prior.
Before he was on The Andy Griffith Show he appeared on The Twilight Zone eaten by a tiger. 🐅
Also lent a aristocratic air as Paladin on the HGWT radio show!🤓😎✌🏻
I'm a little mad at this episode!!! They didn't invite Otis over. Heck!!! Can't have a smash party without the Smash King present.
Sorry 😞 It's the ladies club, no men members aloud but was surprised he wasn't in his cell for the party.
Otis was getting himself "gassed" at Charlie Varny's place...
No doubt. He could of helped the ladies church committee with their singing. 🥴😂
Aunt Bea...."she sure is feelin good"
Love it!
"Looks like she took the adult dose!" LOLOL!!!
One of my favorite episodes - her bouncing on that piano stool !
Yes 🥰 that is a good episode
"Aunt Bee sure is feeling good huh pa?"
(glass breaking)
😳
One of my favorite episodes. #medicineshow
Everything about this show was A+ - concept, writing, casting, acting. The best!
Andy=the rock of the show. Don Knotts=one of the best comedians ever.
I"ve referred to Andy as the Captain of the Ship and Barney as the Sails Flapping in the Breeze.

No apostrophe needed for plurals.
John Dehner is one of my favorite actors of his time.
👍
John Dehner had a lot of great roles on Gunsmoke.
He was also Doris Day's boss on "The Doris Day Show" (late 60s/early 70s).
He also played The Steel Assasin on the Wild Wild West.
Love Aunt Bee's singing & piano playing!! 🥂🍻🥃

Beautiful show amazing i like to watch this video always
It doesn’t have the best line from Andy; “Ladies...you got GASSED”
this is a raid...LOL
I like how Andy delivers the line, "All it does is give you a buzz", with that drawl.
John Dehner was a radio star in many radio shows.
In the radio version of "Have Gun Will Travel", appearing after the high success of the TV series of the same title, John Dehner plays Paladin!
I liked the line from John Dehner's character.."Shawnee, I lived among them"...there devils! Awesome.
This Is One Of My Favorite Episode The Medicine Man❤❤
85% alcohol!
It wouldn't take much of it, that would be around 160 proof
How can anyone put a thumbs down on this
Too much Indian Elixir impairs your hand/eye coordination 😀
The best part is when he shows Opie how to do Indian smoke signals.
I liked John's part on the Doris Day Show as Cy Bennet. Cy was a friendly boss.
I liked John's part as Cy Bennett on the Doris Day Show. He played a straight person in that time frame.
Givin' us the slip...
This is such a wholesome TV show
Aunt Bea got some hooch!!
This reminds me of the Thanksgiving when my dad poured Morgan David wine into a grape juice container and gave mom's mom 7 glasses of it it was the only time n her life she was civil. Well look who's here, sheriff Matt Dillon.Where's Chester?🤣 Aunt Bee is hilarious 😂
Everything's drunk when you're funny. Hiccup
One of my favorite episodes😄😄😃😄
The Medicine Man (John Dehner) played Enos' Boss/Police Captain, in the short lived Dukes spin-off "Enos'".
He was also Hogans hero
One of my favorite Black and white episodes
Actually what is does, is give you a buzz.
FAA inspector on Columbo "Swan Song." Great performance, episode, starring Johnny Cash 🎶
I believe Aunt Bee has a buzz lol 🤣
and to this day people are still looking for an Elixir.
Aunt Bea wanted a sip of that tall drink of water.
Good detective work by Deputy Fife.
Wonderful
John Dehner starred in a great Twilight Zone episode too . He played a similar character who could raise the dead !
The time when Aunt Bee got lit.
Colonel Harvey did Hogan's Heroes. Was very funny as an actor for Hogan's Heroes. 10-29-2021
I'm not going to pay Doc Andrews $5 just to tell me how old I am! $5 LOL
That's how much we paid for a doctor's visit in 1974. And my husband complained about it. His wages were $5. an hour, that was pretty good for back then. He was a foreman for the railroad.
Funny episode!
Hey! I got an idea! For supper why don't you make a nice big rum cake and get back on that piana stool!
Oh, Andy! PLEASE! 😩
Aunt Bea singing is one of the obnoxious songs I play to wake up my teenage son in the morning
😂 awesome!!
John Dehner was hilarious in this episode.
Crocked. Hahah i need to use that
Opie doesn't have a clue.... he can't imagine Aunt Bee getting drunk
"Lived among 'em......they're SAVAGES!!!" LOL
"Devils."
Opie be SANGIN!!!
Before Batman and Robin there was Taylor and Fife.
I play the andy Griffith theme on my youtube videos, so I am always looking for a mayberry expert to tell me a catch phrase that I missed for my captions,,, 'What is Rock Really Like', is my favorite phrase of all time from this episode
Jazz,ck out some of mr.darlings lines, they are crazy
wow, five dollars for an office visit????
There was nothing wrong with Bee getting a little sauced.
Well l Know that John Denver is good actor and l have seen him some western and that l have always love
Andy Griffin and they are always getting to All kind trouble
Barnsley getting Andy in to more trouble
Aunt Bee was my girl. ROTFL.
How could you leave out the part about the smoke signals? John Dehner at his best.
🌷⚘🌷
The great John Dehner who starred in episodes of The Twilight Zone, Hogan's Heroes, etc.
$5? LOL. That was probably a lot back then.
That's approximately $50 - $60 today.
That Indian elixir is pretty tasty!!!
Drunk 🥴 Aunt Bea 1 last joke before she gets thrown in the poky. Look it's Mat Dillon, where's Chester ha ha
Looks like she took the adult dose 😂😂😂😂

Aunt Bee and The Ladies Commitee sure got gassed with the magic elixir and wound up in jail
She broke Barney’s breathalyzer 😂
It IS Aunt Bee..dont listen to the mook who posted its "Bea" I have the Aunt Bee cookbook and it is indeed spelled Bee :)
Back in the day, Andy would have run Colonel Harvey out of town with a shotgun.
Surely, surely the good Colonel must be Alex Jones' grandpappy. 🤪
3:30 170 Proof.
Kinda funny how we never learned what was really wrong with aunt Bee.
She was depressed about getting older. Basically.
85% alcohol you can analyze that with your nose
Can' you leave The Andy Griffith Show alone?
That would be around 170 proof territory there, powerful stuff.
you missed the best joke,, What is Rock Really Like? rock was in the closet at the time and it might of been an inside joke
Andy busted the town drunks before the colonel could get all their money. Reminds me of old sniffer emptying your pockets.
I know it's a G-rated show but...is there any reason the ladies get "put in jail" for drinking booze at a friend's house?
It's a Dry county
😂
I'll choose Ritalin over medicine men
Matlock.
Carefree medical big big trouble 2024 lansing mi aunt bees drug dealer
When you cut it at Opie's interaction with the MM, I stopped watching.....
In
RIP Margaret McGee, who choked on her own vomit under Sheriff Griffith's watch that night. #justiceformarg
Aunt Bee is so off key it’s cringe 😅
Look, he's just like "Dr." Fauci
😂
