  • Since I own 3 of these flashlights now, I think this qualifies as a true owners review. This is a solid tactical flashlight for situations beyond your control or occasional use... So this light is for the guy/girl that just wants to be ready. Don't bother looking at the dumb reviews on Amazon that want to use a tactical flashlight as a dog walking flashlight...they need to look to something much heavier with lower output.
I paid for the flashlights and rechargeable batteries out of my own pocket. Links are convenience only and non monetized:

Just bought 3 recently. Home Depot was selling for $9.97. I bought it to use up cr2 batteries that expired in 2013-2017. Had to use two magnets to make it same size at cr123 battery but works very well. I tend to carry Surefire, Fenix and Zebra lights but have been impressed with this cheap light.

Interesting. So, you can just add magnets to the negative side of a battery to makke it longer?

@@tubro007 Worked very well to get right length. Used up all my CR2 batteries and now working on older 123 batteries.

I picked up a tac 800 because it was the same price as the 300 at the time of purchase, it has 3 led's takes 2x cr123's, ive heard I can replace them with a single 16650 maybe even an 18650 if the the well is wide enough, its very bright on high, I only ever need medium or even low at times, amazon near tripled the price since I got it, I was going to pick a few more up, great lights, definitely dont feel cheap

Ya this light is bad ass especially with a 16340 battery, but only in short spurts of 10-30 seconds cuz after that it will get pretty hot! I love the bullseye spot/floodlight beam! Illuminates quite a wide area at pretty far distances!!! It's a thrower and a flooded in 1!! I would like to put a cree xp-e2 blue emitter in it!!! Would be super bright and jus different compared to the traditional standard white led light!!! I jus don't know how to remove the head of the flashlight nor any idea how to remove the led module/pill thru the battery compartment if the head is permanent!!! If u have any idea how that's done, would really appreciate u if u shared that knowledge with me!!! I got a 2 pack of these lights at Walmart fir $5 bout a year ago!!! I could only imagine how crazy stupid bright the tac 700 is using 2-16340's!!!

Is the low mode still low with the 16340? The Streamlight 1L 1AA looses the low with 14500 or 16340ies and its became as bright as the high.

I got two of them. One of them, if you click it it’s just a normal light. The other one if you apply light pressure it shuffles through low beam hi beam and flashing. Then also if you click it will turn on low beam. Click off and on again and it turns to high beam. Click off and on a third time it goes to strobe. The package did not come with instructions just wondering if you know how to make it like the first one, permanently on high beam thanks

Are the rechargebles you use the 3,7V or these special 3V rechargable batterys?

Yes....EBL 16340 MAX. 4.2v I'm no battery expert but they're all around pretty good-solid batteries as well as their 10440's n 14500's!!! N low mode still exists I'd say like 60-80 lumens on low mode!!! One of these with a red or blue LED would make it A ONE OF A KIND/SERIOUSLY BAD ASS TORCH!!!!!
