3:18 loool agnetha kissing that japanese girl on her cheek... i'm sure she didn't know what tf was going on, you don't shake hands in japan let alone hug or kiss haha
Of course not so popular as they used to as they retired many years ago, but have a firm fan base in the middle ages in particular, because they, as well as the disco boom, are reminiscent of old good days of economically growing Japan. Also a couple of their remastered 'best of' CDs have been released in Japan in recent years and are selling well. Cheers.
It was Japanese show prgram named Ginza now. It was about 1976-77. I rember well I watched at the debut of VanHeilen(?), Runaways and ABBA. They ware not so populer at that time. Now it becomes premium films !! Nobody know s what beomces future..
Hello ! Can I ask if do u know the names of the Ginza Now hosts and the Pop Teen Pop girls ? I've been searching them on Google. Thank you so much 3:20
@@maesoledadfletcherHi I think you can find the footages on UA-cam of Van Halen, Blondie and some others as guests at the TV programme Ginza Now aired Japan in late 70s. Btw the footage of Ginza area in 1978 you can see at 7:16 is quite nostalgic - a lot have changed but still the same vibes!
Hey mrkick20000, how is the popularity of ABBA in Japan nowadays? I know they were really famous there but in the 70's and 80's. I even have some live recordings and the audience was screaming like mad dogs but we don't get many info coming from Japan normally so I'd love if I had updates on ABBA's popularity there now. Would you mind to update us with this? Thank you my friend.
😍❤❤❤❤
インタビューはコッペですね。英語うまいね。
They were so big also in Japan, huh? I was naturally a big fan then, and I am now. Cheers from Japan!

Great stuff, really rare, captures the social excitement and the "talk of the town" in Japan on the Abba visit
