During a recent Camping trip in Kentucky, I was asked by several people about my car awning. Here, I will show you how I mounted it to my Toyota RAV4
The VEVOR Car Awning is 6.6' x 8.2'. It Mounts to a Roof Rack or Roof Basket. The Pull-Out Sunshade is UV50+ and made from PU3000mm Material. It is a Retractable, Weatherproof Side Awning for your SUV, Truck, Van or Trailer for Camping & Overland Adventures. All the Hardware is Included, with a Weatherproof Storage Bag.

wow i was mesmerized watching this. i never knew something like this existed! My first thought was oh man, we could sit under there an fish anywhere you can park close to water. not to mention just hang out under it to get outta the sun and chill in lawn chairs. Its so cool. And one last thing; i never woulda guessed you're 6'2. same as my son. lol.
It’s a very handy thing to have Bonnie… I think I know a good place to set it up right by a fishing spot….. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

pretty cool brother boy them cicadas were he star of the show for real . i have heard cicadas my whole life but i have never heard them sound like that crazy . fun fact the last time these cicadas were both out like this Tomas Jefferson was president . they say the last time was 221 years ago . just amazes me were hearing things and seeing things that other people never got to hear or see in there life time . i guess its a great time to be alive . thanks for the video brother your video is he first ive seen that has the cicadas singing .
Hey Dark! Man, those cicadas can drive a fella crazy the first couple of days… they’re EVERYWHERE!!!!! In our cars, sheds and houses if you leave a door open. I got attacked by them when I started up the weed whacker, they’re attracted to vibration. They’re all gone now for at least 13 years. We had several different species of them all at the same time… like you said, it’s VERY rare. Cheers! 👍🏻
No cicadas up here. But Dee has so many her dogs were eating them. Nice awning and fairly easy to install. Thank you for sharing this with us, Chris. Stay safe and stay cool

Greetings from Walhalla in Oconee County. New to your channel and really enjoying your content. We didn't have any cicadas to speak of here. But an hour away in the small town of Iva, where my mother in law lives, the cicadas were so loud you could hear them over the TV inside the house.

Hey Chris, that is a perfect addition to the car for your camping trips. Looks like it will give lots of shade and keep you dry in the rain. Pretty easy install for the car. I'd love to put one on my Tucson but this is the first car in years that doesn't have roof rails on it. The Cicadas are loud. I think this year there are more than usual there. I read that somewhere. We don't have them or crickets here at all. I like the sound of crickets at night. see you made it to the meet up in the mountains recently. This was very interesting. We have a Rav4 as well. I been thinking of a tarp design off the open rear of the rig as that seems to be the main access point. I might consider this set up if I can't figure out something off the back. Thanks for the thorough installation information. Cheers!

Thanks Tracy… it seems to be waterproof already. It rained while I was in Kentucky and everything stayed dry. 👍🏻
I’ve heard that the cicadas are bad in your area. They sure are noisy bugs. Great job on the awning installation. That will be a nice when you need a little shade. ⛺️😁👍

You just need a bug screen for it & your good to go. Definitely a great spot to enjoy a lunch & a view.
I think VEVOR sells some kind of thing to make into a room… not too sure, but that’s a good idea!

Pretty slick the legs and tension pole all attached have to check them out I'm in process of bolting down a single ladder rack as a kayak rack I might be able to incorporate something like that into my S.D. truck
That worked out pretty well for you at the meet-up. I like it. Looks easy enough to install.

That is a pretty neat rig there Chris. It would be perfect for car camping. I've run a tarp off my roof racks to a tree before but the Vevor pull out awning is just slick man. Great to see you Chris and thanks for sharing!

Looks like a pretty easy install even with the accommodation to your vehicle. I think the Cicadas took your statement "in the background" as a challenge. 😅 They were bad at my house also.

Boy them cicadas been bad this year. I had over 100 husks on my griddle cover inside a week. I've been considering a similar piece on top of the explorer or my truck. My only issue is with the tailgate in lift position is at perfect height to smack my 6'2 forehead into. But would be great for tailgating at the kid's practices and such. Especially game night as that is a 3 hour thing.
I wish I would’ve had this thing when my kids were playing sports… only bad thing would’ve been making room for the chair, grill and cooler… and kid! 😂

I had the #Vevor tent that I bought last fall and I was impressed with it. They make all sorts of stuff and seems to be good quality at fairly decent prices. I really like that awning. Might have to think on one of those 😉❤️🔥🙏🏻🤟🏻

Nope……. That storage pouch is attached very well. It’s a pretty big logo isn’t it???? There may be other ways to “hide” it though. Thanks for watching!
