i think the reason Kyle wouldn't want to have incentivized contract based on performance (top 5s, top 10s) is that he may already feel he isnt getting the best equipment and may think that a heavily incentivized contract may work against him getting top line equipment if the season starts to not go the way everyone wants....
Based on team performance, JGR has not given Kyle a reason to consider creative incentive options. That part is not Kyle's fault. The flip side is that Kyle's attitude towards his team is piss poor at best. I could see Kyle winding up (merge) with Trackhouse. Kyle already has a feeder system but no Cup team. That fits Trackhouse perfectly. Marks nor Busch would have any initial investment to make. That would set Kyle up perfectly for post retirement. On the other hand, Kurt has really matured and stepped up as an elder statesman in every sense of the word and proved he can and will win in anything! He could wind up in a leadership role anywhere.
Trackhouse couldn't afford him either and a merger???? He has already stated why he wants to stay with Toyota, to be a Toyota Lifer, to have a permanent connection to Toyota after he retires like Ivan "Ironman" Stewart. (Stewart is well compensated for being a TRD spokesman nearly 2 decades after retiring. The first thing mentioned on Stewarts web page is his 30 year relationship with Toyota.) Kyle also hopes to share a truck with his son Brexton when he turns 16. Any deal to move away from Toyota will almost certainly require his Truck to change manufactures. Not an impossibility but it certainly complicates Kyles expressed long range plans. Then you have to ask "Why on earth would Justin Marks want to PARTNER with someone as notoriously difficult as Kyle Busch?" I don't really see an upside for Marks. The potential of disrupting his new and astonishingly successful team is HUGE!!! I can see just a bit of potential for conflict with Ross Chastain and lets face it when things don't go his way Kyle is a dick. Just not a lot of upside here for Justin Marks. He already has a winning driver with significant fan appeal for attracting new sponsors. If Kyle Leaves JGR it will be for an establish championship caliber team (Ross ain't winning a championship this year, just ask Denny). Kyles top two priority's are Championship #3 and 17 more victories to pass Dale Earnhardt on the all time winners list. I suspect sharing a truck with his son is a VERY, VERY distant 3'rd on his priorities list.
Kyle definitely deserves the chance to get those 17 wins and pass the legend . Just ask him, he'll tell you. If he doesn't get it , I don't know if I can stand all the whining. If they play last weeks pre race interview one more time I'm going to puke. Oops, too late .
I know this is a given but Jr is just a genuine good dude! More money than he could ever spend and you'd think he was a factory worker. He calls it as he sees it with no grudges or hard feelings. I think the Harvick comments really bothered him though.
I enjoy listening/watching you all.! Jr of course became my second favorite after his dad.! Probably like most fans.! Although I think we have a lot in common! I think Jr seems like a knowledgeable and regular low key guy!! Even though he probably can't have a normal life with his popularity.! Thanks for having UA-cam channel where we can all enjoy!!..
Dale Jr., that is one hell of an idea with an incentive based contract. Football, Basketball, and Hockey all use the incentive based contracts to meet the salary cap obligations.
Best case,Dale jr and sister invite Kyle over for dinner and kids go race karts on dales track, and he takes Kyle aside and says KYLE WE WANT TO GO CUP RACING BE OUR DRIVER,imagine sponsors, advertising, merch, and competitive out the gate.Get WONDER BREAD for sponsor lol.Imagine the paint scheme with dots.Jr should align with Tony and create another team with Earnhart as team owner.
Mr Dale jr, I first want to say I have followed racing since I was a little boy, I’m now 47 years old, the first driver to Capture my attention was your dad in the number 3 car. WOW I was amazed, I mean words can’t describe
Hear me out. NASCAR…go ahead and sell a charter to Dale Jr. Dale, you bring in Kyle to run the car. There’s no way in hell the two of them couldn’t find enough sponsor money to cover Kyles asking price. Companies would be willing to sign their name to anything Earnhardt, especially with Kyle behind the wheel and that whole story. Yes their rivals. Yes it probably couldn’t go beyond a year without them killing each other, but, it would be good for both of them. Dale would have a car in cup with a championship driver. Kyle would have the money and probably decent equipment. And the media attention would be bananas. Win win.
NASCAR cannot just sell a charter to make 37 charters as every single owner with a charter has to approve it because it affects the value of every team. Before any charters get added NASCAR wants to see teams like live fast either improve or gone
I am wondering if after all these contract negotiations, years of service and 2 Championships if KYLE is actually holding out for part ownership in JOE GIBBS RACING like Denny has done to further advance his career with co-ownership in 23XI RACING and like Brad has now with RFK RACING. Kyle has seen firsthand what Denny and Brad have accomplished to further their careers so I am sure Kyle is also looking to do the same to secure his future to remain in the RACING WORLD as well. JOE is getting much older and he may want KYLE to be his successor just like Jeff Gordon has become CEO for Hendricks Motorsports. I am sure he still desires to be part of JOE GIBBS RACING, but would like to see it become GIBBS-BUSCH MOTORSPORTS. Kyle has a passion for the sport and wants this team to succeed and be around for future generations to enjoy. His future remains to be unseen, but I am sure it depends wholly on owing a piece of a competitive race team that is already well established within the NASCAR Cup Series. He will definitely have an advantage and upper hand in building a successful racing team especially after he retires from his racing career in the near distance future.
Trackhouse racing should consider Kyle Busch add a charter for him kyle and Ross chastain on the same team would be movie worthy and a team that’s still new to cup could use Kyle for his experience knowledge and his truck series team
TRACKHOUSE is already a satellite HENDRICKS team. They have no incentive to have to absorb a big sponsor, to fund a kyle Busch team. Their out going cost to driver on track production, is probably in Nascar top 5 or 3, on a team level.
“We run an efficient organization so our cost is lower. Plus, companies resonate with our humility, positivity, and love of the sport.” That's what Justin Marks the owner of Trackhouse said about Kyle Busch's sponsor issue. Sounds like he has the same feeling's most have for Kyle.
@@shaynejenkins446 While I agree, if Kyle came down a bit in money Trackhouse would be insane not to consider him. He'd be a great match, as @Dalton Moon mentioned they already have Chastain which at this point is just a younger Kyle. I think they'd be a great fit. When personalities align and everyone is on the same (aggressive) page, good things tend to happen. KB could no doubt lead them to a Championship.
@@shaynejenkins446 I think that's the 2 big problems between Kyle and track house, is Kyle's attitude and his price tag. Both are big deal breakers no matter how good you are
I can't see Rick Hendrick bringing back Kyle Busch. Hendrick's 4 car lineup is at the top. All 4 cars can win, and there isn't any bickering or hollering with Hendrick. That ship has sailed. One thing about RCR: RC has to be dying for championship relevance. Very longshot, but anything can possible. But Busch will return to the 18, even if Toyota has to sponsor him next season.
IMO Mars could see through the crystal ball that Kyle’s cup career has hit it’s high point. You look at this season and all the new younger winners we’ve had. The dynamic has changed and large sponsorship dollars will always expect top tier results. It’s like sales, if you don’t sell you don’t make commissions.
NASCAR seems to be losing more respect, the more WOKE they get . They're trying so hard to go full WOKE and yet NBC won't even aire their races on anything but USA or CNBC. I hadn't watched those channels in years! I didn't Even realize they were still on the air . Thank goodness for voice search. 😂😂😂 Talk about being relegated to 2nd tier.
I really think SHR is a great possibility for Busch. They can afford him because Haas can sponsor him directly. The speed hasn't been there, but SHR is on the brink. Remember, Chase Briscoe is two clean passes away from having three wins this year. This isn't the status quo for SHR and Ford as a whole has struggled. NASCAR forced them to make a change to the car ahead of Daytona and made changes to inspections prior to the 2021 season that caused SHR to lose a lot of speed. This is where we find out how bad Ford wants to win in NASCAR. They dominated victory lanes for four years and had just one driver championship to show for it (thanks in part to the playoffs). Kyle Larson was there's for the taking, and Ford said no to Tony and Gene. Now the Chevy's and HMS are back on top. The no. 2 team this year is a Chevy team that is only two years old (if you don't count the CGR, Felix Sabates, DEI heritage). Ford has let NASCAR walk over them for two years in a row now. This is an opportunity for Ford. Kyle Busch is not only a winner, but he brings a developmental team with him. Ford's future successes in NASCAR hinge on this silly season.
@@derrickconnor1303 If Ford shows some fortitude, SHR isn't going anywhere. Dodge joining NASCAR is just a rumor, beyond that, we don't even know what Dodge joining NASCAR means. Who's going to build the engine? Will there be a driver development program? It's way more complicated than "Stewart joined Dodge in NHRA" and "Ford didn't let SHR sign Larson." What makes Dodge a better partner than Ford?
@DennyDelivers That says all you need to know. And the reason I say that is the guy is being so disrespectful to Joe Gibbs. Joe has put up with his BS for a long time. He's at the point with his attitude, where I'm almost relieved if he walks at this point.
I like the Kaulig twist but there's still another problem- Toyota and KBR. So he does a switcheroo like Stewart did and change manu? Kaulig has 1 big star, AJ, so yeah, it kind of makes sense - As for going back to Hendricks? just don't feel that one but then, Mr H has a method of decision making that could shock everyone. He's a business man, he will do what makes sense from a business view. The Larson decision was an easy one, anyone could've gotten that right. Low hanging fruit for a guy like Hendricks.
Great takes Dale as always. Side note, so glad you jumped into the podcast life, I've gained such a new respect for you. I wasn't a fan of yours growing up, but now I realize it's because I never gave you a fair shake, never actually listened to you or your takes. Now with the podcast I'm finding out your a really great guy. Anyways, although Kyle has had tremendous success with JGR, I've always felt they were a bad match. Kyle is and was a wild man, he needs a team like Kaulig or heck even Trackhouse. Hendrick would work great for him now that he's calmed down a bit in his older years, but I just never felt like Joe Gibbs and KB were on the same page. Gibbs kept him because he not only performs, but performs the best of all his drivers. But Gibbs doesn't love Kyle, he loves Denny. Denny is the apple of his eye since he lost his son. I mean letting Denny create his own Cup team while still working for JGR? He'd never allow Kyle to do that. Ok rant over, I'll be honest and admit I've sipped on enough whiskey for the night. My take? Kyle goes to Hendrick.
Dale I agree that Ty should start driving for his Pap! Coach isn’t getting any younger and I would do it for my grandkids if I could. Hell I don’t know one person that wouldn’t do that for there grandchild...
I would 't even consider doing it for a kid or grandkids unless they could drive! That would just be stupid (here's looking at you Menard). And Ty Gibbs can freakin' drive!
Of course my grandkid would have to have some talent! Duh! I thought we all would have figured that. And thats why Ty Dillon is in subpar equipment. He just doesn't seem to have what it takes and I don't think Austin has the it factor either. Most of his wins are plate races anyway. Hell Trevor Baine won Daytona and that was his 1 and only win. Look back over the years and the truth will rare its head..
It’d make SHR better and I’d bet anything Harvick would be totally cool with it because that team is is complete ass right now and he and Kyle are on much better terms than they used to be. That shit’s old news
@@easyenetwork2023, i don’t think Jr. had much to do with it. It was all Hendricks (and maybe sponsors). Junior was the catalyst. Catalyst: One that precipitates a process or event, especially without being involved in or changed by the consequences.
Bowman and Kyle's stats for this year are pretty close, Kyle has a few more top fives but I wouldn't be tossing out AB for KB and I bet bet Bowman the Showman works alot cheaper than Cryle.
I don't know about him leaving I think he should stay where he is. Brad Keselowski made a huge mistake leaving Penske. He went to Rousch Racing and he went from being one of the best drivers on the track to not being a factor anymore.
Well many people have stated that he went to Roush for the opportunity to become a cup owner so I think he knows that he isnt doing good rn, but Id assume he doesnt care about that.
He knew that Rousch wasn’t going to be competitive and that he’ll most likely not be a factor anymore he went there to be a team owner and build up rousch
You have the wrong definition of success. Brad knew the first year would be tough. You have to be an ignorant simpleton to think Brad was only thinking short term.
@@NickyD So what? He is an unlikeable d-bag that few sponsors would want having represent their product or service. He is not worth the price while having to put up with the bad attitude compared to much of the other upcoming, great and cheaper talent out there.
Junior wants to start a team but he needs to secure a charter plus he would need a big name sponsor. Johnny Morris isn't going to sponsor Kyle with Bass pro shops and that's about the only sponsor junior has that could step up and pay Kyle
Personally I'd love to see Kyle Busch back at Hendrick, but I don't see any way it would work. The only Hendrick driver I'd see get pushed out over the next like 5 years is Bowman, and he seems quite locked in right now.
Gonna comment before listening to the episode first, my opinion is that anything is possible of course however Rick Hendrick runs a tight ship and keeps things low key and drama free for the most part. If Rick hired Kyle given Kyle was willing to do so would absolutely signal a change in the way HMS operates and what would of wouldn’t be tolerated. Do not see this happening.
This is one where you should have watched the video. Dale Jr says Rick and Busch are neighbors and get along really well. A lot has changed since the fallout of 2007
I said this before and think it’s a option. Jr and Kyle buy a team or charter and have a alliance with Hendricks for cars. If Jr went to cup when probably get his stuff from Hendricks anyway.
JR Motorsports buys a charter for the Cup Series and establishes themselves in the series right away with a top contender Kyle Busch, of course still aligned with Hendricks like Xfinity series
Kyle is likely most unhappy about Toyota's performance the last 3 years. His sponsor leaving has likely resonated to the point he feels it's his best move as well..
@@TreyK54 You never tell your current employer you don't want to work for them, especially when under contract. Gibbs isn't the focal point of his frustration though.
I'd be surprised to see Kyle run better than Harvick in that equipment. People don't seem to realize how great Harvick has been considering the equipment he has been running most of his career. He arguably has never been in a top ride other than RCR the first few years before the downturn and SHR being good for a few years but never a seat at the level of Hendrick or JGR.
Is there a possibility Stuart Haas is sick of Ford? Toyota would be happy to join Stewart Haas along with the Bush Brothers. Then watch Harvick fly with good equipment.
Kyle BUSCH is more than a driver. He owns the dominant Camping World Truck Series Team. KBM bought hamke chassis out. That is one of if not the best Late Model, modifieds, ect. Chassis manufacturers of all times. Kyle is grooming the GRAND NATIONAL AND SPORTSMAN (CUP/XFINITY)stars of the future. Over half of the drivers that have "made" it, cut their teeth at KBM. I have been a KYLE BUSCH (THE DRIVER) since Kurt Busch told us about him after he won his championship. Kurt gave a speech, and in it he says, "IF YOU THINK I'M GOOD, WAIT TILL YOU SEE MY LITTLE BROTHER" I wasn't a KYLE Busch the person fan until Braxton came allong and he became a great man. Does he ruffle feathers? Yes! Come on , the man is so good NASCAR has made rules to block hime from having more success than he has now... He is the only driver to win all 3 series in a weekend, and did it multiple times. After he won the BUSCH series title while also competing for the cup championship NASCAR made up the rule only allowing drivers to compete in 5 xfinity and 5 truck series races each class each year. If you compete in Cup. If they hadn't, I think KYLE BUSCH would have won a championship in multiple series in 1 year.. possibly a 3 sweep. His first championship was the greatest comeback story in NASCAR history. 17 straght years with at least 1 win in Cup. Until the recent addition of tracks we had 2 years where KYLE was the only driver that had won at every stop on the NASCAR series tour. The only race he is missing is the Daytona 500. KYLE is so unappreciated as a driver. He can basically when any weekend. If you are talking about favorite to wins, as long as it's not a popularity contest, KYLE BUSCH is on the list. I want KYLE BUSCH to leave JGR. He does his best driving when it is a challenge. Look at his performance this year even. 2 before his win on Bristol dirt, then a string of seconds that was broken at Sonoma. He could have more wins if he drove without respect. In the past he would have. He seems to be the only diver willing to stand up to NASCAR and say what he really thinks. I would love to see him at RCR. I believe that with the past that they have and the way Childress is willing to go to battle for his drivers. Kyle would thrive there and breath New life into the team. Chevy has so much power and speed, I don't see Toyota catching up anytime soon. KYLE is too stressed out this year. Another option that would be funny. Drop back to the Xfinity series and dominate it for a season to force teams to want him out of that series. A basic, make them look bad season. And take that year to spend tome with his new daughter and go racing with Braxton on Sundays. He has the facilities to build the chassis and doe everything at KBM. You know Toyota would back him. They have too much to lose if he decides to drive for Chevy. Ford isn't even in the conversation. Not enough power. Toyota would also have to throw away every comercial they have if KYLE BUSCH left. He is the corner stone of the manufacturer. He could really shake NASCAR up. That isn't a bad thing. Something needs to happen in the sport. I have a lot of friends that won't watch a race anymore. It seems to be more of a demolition derby than racing anymore. Like larson overshooting the corner and killing Ty Dillon's car. It looked like he lost his bakes but he didn't. He drove in too hard. And couldn't slow down. . I thought for sure Dillon was going to be hurt badly. Thank the Lord he wasn't.. professional racing shouldn't be 75% carnage. I am even getting where I can't stand to watch the races. With this many cautions we don't need stage racing anymore.
If Kyle needs a sponsor but sponsors don’t want to or can’t pay the money needed to have Busch. I’m pretty sure that Kyle can afford to take less money. My question is why if he wants to drive and he wants to retire at JGR ( he has said that) doesn’t he negotiate a lower number to meet a legitimate sponsor in the middle.
The problem with Hendrick, first when he brought in Larson he has an open ride, unlike now. Who does get their seat? Also, Stewart wanted to sign Larson more but Ford said no.
Ford made some bad decisions on drivers. They weren’t interested in Chase, which you would’ve thought we be a no brainer with Bill’s relationship to Ford, then turn down Larson after that. I’m a Ford fan, but question who’s making the decisions.
@@JC-dr8ev I agreed with that. I am not sure about the Chase situation but I heard rumors that Chase was pushed toward Hendrick by Nascar, who some feel has always favored Hendrick over other teams.
i think there is no doubt that KB would outperform Bowman, and likely also Byron, right out of the gate. Give it a year and we would have 3 hendrick drivers challenging for wins every time out.
His attitude has gotten worse every single year. Can you imagine having to put up with him saying his team sucks every week for 5 years and still signing his paychecks? Even when he’s running sponsors off and not getting results? Hendrick signed Larson because anyone with eyes could see he’s the most talented and driven race car driver of this generation AND he’s got a great attitude. It was a no brainer as long as you could fund him until the media forgot and moved on.
I just don’t see Rick Hendrick, being clinically insane , Why hire back a man who’s been released from your organization for the very same reason , he’s looking for a ride right now ! Don’t get me wrong , I’m not denying the talent of Kyle Busch, just needs to fix attitude, if Joe Gibbs can’t fix attitude, who can?
Also A VERY good point about JOE GIBBS not being able to tame the fugly baby .. Yes he has talent.. but I THINK HE ACTUALLY BELIEVES HE WOULD STILL HAVE A RIDE IF THERE WERE NO FANS AT ALL... like he thinks NASCAR is a REALLY ESSENTIAL JOB.. I HAVE never understood that.. like "HEY BOZO .. IF THERE ARE NO FANS THERE WILL BE NO MORE PLAYING FOR A CHECK!" . He's an ass
@@destinye277 yep and Kyle Busch and Dale Jr are friends and go to each other's barbeques .. EVEN when people were TRYING TO CREATE DRAMA between them years ago..
He's got to be able to secure a charter plus he's going to want to secure big sponsorship. None of Junior's Xfinity series sponsors are paying enough for Kyle. Johnny Morris can afford to sponsor Kyle but I don't think Johnny wants to put Bass pro shops on a car that Kyle is driving
Symbolically I believe Gibbs drives the 18 car. Think about it….it’s the first car he created, I am sure Interstate Batteries would probably be more invested. I can see him in the 18, and I believe Kyle Busch goes to the 45
I know Kyle with his own energy drink doesn’t help that sponsorship However, what if Kurt and Kyle swapped cars because of Monster with the understanding that Ty would be their 2024 driver
I still believe he ends up at SHR. It's the only option. And the fact Gene Haas has been at these meetings with Tony Stewart when he hardly shows up in person, tells me that something is going on with them and Kyle. And from what I understand, the plans are for SHR to switch to Dodge in 2024. Meaning he would be a Ford driver for one year. What does Kyle do with his own current teams if he leaves?
I don't see that happening in the cup series. he did have a team for one year in the xfinity series and it was terrible for kyle and his team. he shut it down after the 2012 season and moved the 54 to joe gibbs racing team starting in 2013
Agree maybe, but “Smoke” put it together. And has prospered very well. “Rowdy “ love or hate him , can do the same. Maybe a Busch Bros deal. They both are a big market in the sport, which is struggling!🏁
@@markgrimley9004 that is a possiblity, but which manufacture will help the busch brothers? but in the cup series? I don't think so. Maybe the xfinity series if kyle busch choses to run the xfinity series. (more likely not) Maybe run his brother in the xfinity series full time. (also most likely not)
Spire Motorsports and Kaulig Racing come to mine and be great to see...But still Gene Haas owns the 41 car at SHR also Gene has a Formula 1 team in his back pocket and those pockets are real deep.

Thank you Jr for all your insight and your time.
you get him ready by giving him cup seat time hell the time knew he wasn’t going to be competitive but finishing the race and getting a top 20 is a good result for a debut
Great Analysis. I was wondering about Kyles TV show as well as Austin Dillans show. Do these play into the marketability ? I don't watch the shows, however, I wonder how its percieved or if does have liability issues where sponsors are concerned.
I GUESS DIRTY MO MEDIA WON'T RESPOND TO ME,BUT I GOT THIS ALL FIGURED OUT. DALE JR. WILL SIGN KYLE.MOVE JR. MOTORSPORTS TO CUP AND GET 5 YEARS STARTING UP THE BEST CUP TEAM EVER BOOM💥 I MEAN I'M NOT A BUSCH FAN BUT A BUSINESS DEAL IS A GOOD DEAL SO CAN'T BE MAD AT THAT.
Gibbs would be a fool to let Kyle get away from him. I noticed Jr. you never mentioned the guy that has the most money to spend, Roger Penske. He doesn't have as much as Gene Haas, but he could easily buy and sell Hendrick and Gibbs 10 times over, and has a reputation of under promising and over delivering.
Kyle will be winning races at Trackhouse next year. I'm not sure, but the 10 will be sponsorless when Aric leaves, so I would not say SHR is an option yet
Kyle Busch needs to go to a team with competitive equipment! SHR or Hendrick, I personally like to see him at RCR the 8 is opening up or Petty in the 42 for a 3 year contract . Put the Petty team back in victory lane and a possibility of a championship. Austin Dillon has lost his focus on racing, with his TV show. Maybe Kyle could get into the 3?
Richard being Austin's grandfather I couldn't see Austin going anywhere. But imagine if Richard put Kyle in the 3 car and put Austin in the 8. But is Richard willing to pay for kyle without a sponsor.
Richard Childress isn't interested in funding Top Notch race cars. I totally understand his grandsons Racing for him he doesn't have to pay them as much money but they end up with the company. It makes sense.
In a race car he's one of the best no matter what he drives. However, when comes to behavior and he has made himself unmarketable to corperate sponsors. His attitude is what is creating a problem for sponsors but Gibs is not going to say it.
I don't think it's fair to lump Kyle Larson in with Kyle Busch. Larson shows respect to others in the sport, and has made a concerted effort to show respect to his sponsors and teammates. Busch has trashed everyone along the way, at times making a joke of his teammates, sponsors, crew members, owner, and even the sport itself. Both have made mistakes they wish they could have back, but Larson has twice the maturity of Busch.
If I’m Denny, I’m telling MJ they gotta spend money and get Kyle. Tyler and Kyle would be a very strong team. Get rid of Bubba. He’s a mutt. And Toyota would be happy cause Kyle is still driving a Toyota. But…..if I’m betting…my money is on SHR. I’d be surprised if Tony hasn’t already been on the phone.
Imagine, hear me out (not gonna happen but you never know tbh) Kyle Busch to RCR in the 8, Kurt retires, reddick to 2311 a year early, ty Gibbs to the 18
Tyler is probably going to be out of the eight car next year but we'll find out Tuesday but Kyle is not going to RCR. Austin Hill is going to be driving the eight car unless I remember it come 2024 if not next year. Anyway RCR is announcing Austin Hill is going to the cup series we don't know if it's full-time part-time and that announcement is Tuesday
@@johnhaas2523 it’s probably going to be a part time announcement because why would you let go of your best driver a year early yeah it’s going to be awkward but keep him as long as you can
Where does Jr racing fall in this conversation. Why not go after Kyle especially after everything he mentioned about Kaulig and Hass and Hendrick? Kyle brings a veteran driver to Jr racing who has experience in the next gen, can pretty much drive anything like Larson, can have a legit chance of wining especially with HMS affiliation and would show just how serious my new favorite racing team in cup would be. 88 all the way to victory lane!
All this talk about sponsors and being able to pay a driver tells me that it's not even about winning race races championships anymore, it's all about that $ just like the other sports.
Did the DQs at Pocono have anything to do with these crazy contract negotiations? Who knew that the 2 JGR cars had a 5" piece of tape under the wrap? Someone at JGR who feels snubbed? In 60 years, this is the first time a race winner has been DQed, and the 2nd place car too makes it even more bizarre.
i think the reason Kyle wouldn't want to have incentivized contract based on performance (top 5s, top 10s) is that he may already feel he isnt getting the best equipment and may think that a heavily incentivized contract may work against him getting top line equipment if the season starts to not go the way everyone wants....
This was one of the best explanations of the situation and options that I have heard anywhere.
Definitely liking Juniors take on the situation

Dale Jr., that is one hell of an idea with an incentive based contract. Football, Basketball, and Hockey all use the incentive based contracts to meet the salary cap obligations.
Absolutely! I think every owner in every sport should start incentives programs for their contracts.
Mr Dale jr,
I first want to say I have followed racing since I was a little boy, I’m now 47 years old, the first driver to Capture my attention was your dad in the number 3 car.
Before any charters get added NASCAR wants to see teams like live fast either improve or gone
maybe Kyles should just quit and run his truck team
Txs for in site on contracts how deals are struck. Great point about Joe Gibbs and his Grandson would enjoy watching him succeed. Luv your show 👍🏼
I am wondering if after all these contract negotiations, years of service and 2 Championships if KYLE is actually holding out for part ownership in JOE GIBBS RACING like Denny has done to further advance his career with co-ownership in 23XI RACING and like Brad has now with RFK RACING.
Both are big deal breakers no matter how good you are
I’m with this! Put Rowdy in the 91 car
Bowman could be gone just saying bowman not worth keeping after this year
IMO Mars could see through the crystal ball that Kyle’s cup career has hit it’s high point. You look at this season and all the new younger winners we’ve had. The dynamic has changed and large sponsorship dollars will always expect top tier results. It’s like sales, if you don’t sell you don’t make commissions.
Mars already notified them years before like right after kyles championship. So no it’s not because of recent performance.
And he as the driver is good, but he has also made a bunch of mistakes like on purpose at Nashville.
All cup sponsorships have reached their high points . Sponsorship has been falling for a few years
NASCAR seems to be losing more respect, the more WOKE they get . They're trying so hard to go full WOKE and yet NBC won't even aire their races on anything but USA or CNBC.
I hadn't watched those channels in years! I didn't Even realize they were still on the air . Thank goodness for voice search. 😂😂😂
Talk about being relegated to 2nd tier.
SHR to Dodge in 23 or 24 think of that to if they get KB
@@derrickconnor1303 If Ford shows some fortitude, SHR isn't going anywhere. Dodge joining NASCAR is just a rumor, beyond that, we don't even know what Dodge joining NASCAR means. Who's going to build the engine? Will there be a driver development program? It's way more complicated than "Stewart joined Dodge in NHRA" and "Ford didn't let SHR sign Larson." What makes Dodge a better partner than Ford?
it’s 3 years later after his second championship and Kyle Busch doesn’t have a ride lined up yet… man.

Same thing happened to Kurt after he was already champion. Ego got in the way Kurt has really mellowed out.
@DennyDelivers That says all you need to know. And the reason I say that is the guy is being so disrespectful to Joe Gibbs. Joe has put up with his BS for a long time. He's at the point with his attitude, where I'm almost relieved if he walks at this point.

Great coverage on this , I know it's personal info ,but a talk on how driver are paid would be cool.
It would just be a shame to take a team like Hendrick has and add....SATAN. 😂😂😂
Age 35-43 is the range your dad won 6 championships! I’d say you hit the nail on the head
No room at the inn at Hendricks, how do they that? They have 4 great young drivers. Set up another team, does Petty race Hendricks stuff.
I wish I could articulate my thoughts as well as Jr. He had us fooled early in career
I think he matured after he stopped racing. 20 years ago, I would have never thought he could have gotten to this place.
Dale I agree that Ty should start driving for his Pap! Coach isn’t getting any younger and I would do it for my grandkids if I could. Hell I don’t know one person that wouldn’t do that for there grandchild...
Richard Childress wouldn’t.
Austin gets top equipment, while Ty gets the satellite team. I will say Eric Jones has been turning heads in that Petty car, so why can’t Ty?
If Kyle goes to Stewart Hass it will take Kevin Harvick about 24 hours before he puts Kyle in a choke hold.
It won't take that long. Lol
At minimum punch him in the head like he did to Kurt when they were team mates.
Harvick is getting old he should retire...let Kyle drive the 4 car... harvick is washed up any way
Harvick is all talk. No chokeholds ever
It’d make SHR better and I’d bet anything Harvick would be totally cool with it because that team is is complete ass right now and he and Kyle are on much better terms than they used to be. That shit’s old news
Junior completely failed to mention why Kyle Busch was let go from Hendricks in the first place. Hint: It’s first initial is Dale Junior.

It was not because of Dale Jr alone, I believe Kellogg’s was going to leave because of Kyle also.

Who cares if you’ve been saying that for the past three years? How is that relevant?
I'd be surprised to see Kyle run better than Harvick in that equipment. People don't seem to realize how great Harvick has been considering the equipment he has been running most of his career. He arguably has never been in a top ride other than RCR the first few years before the downturn and SHR being good for a few years but never a seat at the level of Hendrick or JGR.
Harvick won his championship with SH that was powered by a bowtie provided bye Hendrick...
Winning 9 races in SHR equipment seems like a miracle now and Harvick has been very consistent this year in average to good cars most of the year.
Is there a possibility Stuart Haas is sick of Ford? Toyota would be happy to join Stewart Haas along with the Bush Brothers. Then watch Harvick fly with good equipment.
Kyle Busch will survive and race on, already went down the Hendrick Motorsports road.
I hope Dale has a nice talk with Kurt Busch
No freaking way Hendricks would never give him a ride. He got rid of him
Kyle BUSCH is more than a driver.
Kyle doesn’t negotiate with sponsors nor does he personally go looking for them, the team owner and his people does or the sponsors go to the team.
Does Ty Gibbs move to cup have any thing to do with Kyle's problems?
Not a chance.
The problem with Hendrick, first when he brought in Larson he has an open ride, unlike now. Who does get their seat?
Also, Stewart wanted to sign Larson more but Ford said no.

You all tried putting him over the top ever since he first came into the sport. But it's okay I get it and I get why. Now with that said. I'll say since he retired and went on with different thing in the sport. From his series with old race tracks this podcast and he announcing races. Ive come to see a different side of him. He is very acknowledgeable. He really gives you a insight of the sport in so many ways that us fans are not really aware of. And Ive been following this sport for 44 years. Thank you Jr for all your insight and your time.
It makes me laugh .
Ty went to pocono and finished the race . He’s ready for cup 🤣🤣. Na he’s no where near ready for cup
you get him ready by giving him cup seat time hell the time knew he wasn’t going to be competitive but finishing the race and getting a top 20 is a good result for a debut
Kyle should go to Tonys team,Tony likes instant winners and #10 says hes done.
Great Analysis. I was wondering about Kyles TV show as well as Austin Dillans show. Do these play into the marketability ? I don't watch the shows, however, I wonder how its percieved or if does have liability issues where sponsors are concerned.
DILLON
like motormouths
Rumor has it from harvick the deal is done at shr. And Kyle will drive the 10 car or a diffent possible number.
I've done a 180 on Ty to Cup. His talent doesn't require an additional year in Xfinity Imo.
After 1 race. 🙄
@@kulturkampf Not sure you're aware of the other series pal.
I think he should sign with JR motor sports . And help JR get his cup team started . Just a thought .
A winning thought…👍👍
NO
What if JRM gets the cup charter and Jr goes and gets Kyle! What a twist!
Dale should sign him.....go cup....lol
Don't ask Mike any more questions because he lost all credibility after the Denny and Ross contact/crash.
I GUESS DIRTY MO MEDIA WON'T RESPOND TO ME,BUT I GOT THIS ALL FIGURED OUT. DALE JR. WILL SIGN KYLE.MOVE JR. MOTORSPORTS TO CUP AND GET 5 YEARS STARTING UP THE BEST CUP TEAM EVER BOOM💥
I MEAN I'M NOT A BUSCH FAN BUT A BUSINESS DEAL IS A GOOD DEAL SO CAN'T BE MAD AT THAT.
I don’t see Penske going 4 cars again, and pretty sure their not going to want to lose Logano and Blaney
@@LarGoat5 Yes that's one opinion. But money talks.
Penske already has four cars three himself then you got the Wood Brothers that is Penske
@@johnhaas2523 He has 3 himself. The rest are affilliates.
Kyle will be winning races at Trackhouse next year. I'm not sure, but the 10 will be sponsorless when Aric leaves, so I would not say SHR is an option yet
I got a question does Kyle want leave jgr
@@stevensmall9398 Richard needs to get the sponsors , Kyle can just drive which ever car! Austin needs to refocus, race or TV show?
Richard Childress isn't interested in funding Top Notch race cars. I totally understand his grandsons Racing for him he doesn't have to pay them as much money but they end up with the company. It makes sense.
Sad whatever this racing is called, it$ only about money. Winston Cup racing is long gone.
You Got That Right .
Excuse me, what do you mean by mutt?
How cool would it be if Jr. started a team and hired rowdy !!💪🏼👊🏼🏁
its cool for dale to point out these ideas. but im pretty sure its all been looked at
That's why Kyle is having a hard time He's not old but he's not young he's had a lot of wrecks and his attitude
