Hello, mere flooring k tiles 30X60 inches hai. Mere contractor ne bataya ki adhesive me agar kharcha kam karana ho, to Marching kara ke tiles bitha sakte hai. Jisme PCC aur adhesive ki jaroorat nahi padegi. Sand se majbuti aa jayegi. Kya Marching adhesive jitni majbuti de sakta hai for flooring?

शायद आप 32×64 इंच वाली टाइल की बात कर रहे हैँ. क्यों की अभी मार्किट मे 30×60 की size वाली टाइल बहुत ही कम बिक रही हैँ. जो भी हो. आप इस प्रकार की बड़ी size की टाइल को फ्लोर मे ताज़ा माचान पर भी बैठा सकते हैँ. कोई प्रॉब्लम नहीं होगी बस बैठाने वाला मिस्त्री को ध्यान देकर बैठना होगा क्यों की इस प्रकार की टाइल बेंड जल्दी हो जाती हैँ लेकिन एक बार सही से बैठ गई तो कोई प्रॉब्लम नहीं होगी.

Reply Dene k liye thanks! Ye 2.5ftX5ft ki tiles hai. Bas yahi confusion tha, ki iss size ki tile k liye adhesive ka use karna mandatory hota hoga, ya marching kaafi rahega. Contractor ne around 2 brass sand/reti se kaam ho jayega ye bola hai. Mujhe doubt yahi tha ki badi tile ki life k liye sand enough rahegi ya chemical hi chahiye hoga.

So the final result is that Vitrified tiles (as they don't soak water) to be fixed with Adhesive and the tiles which soak water or soft body tiles to be fixed with Cement. It also means cemented/concrete/pavement tiles are to be affixed with cement. Otherwise for indoor Adhesive can be used as it works as Waterproof.

Well explained sir. But a question. My contractor is insisting on using cement based for “4x2 Kajaria gres tough” tile for bathroom wall. 20 year old house and old tiles are broken. He says adhesive will not work unless new construction. Your opinion ?

Adhesive is for tile, not for wall. So it's doesn't matter that your house wall is old or new construction
