Actually Japanese and Filipino culture is not that far apart. Pancit Odong is derived from Okinawa soba and Halo Halo is a Filipino dessert that is derived from Japanese Kakigori that originally came from Japan from Japanese immigrants to the Philippines in the 19th century.
It's rare to find Burmese food in the U.S. The few times that I've tried it was in Thailand; at the major border town of Mae Sot & in the northwestern Thai city of Mae Hong Son, which, is part of the Shan (Tai Yai) people's homeland that straddles the Thai-Myanmar border. There's a popular dish in northern Thailand, that was brought over from Myanmar by the Shan, called, "Gaeng Hang Lay" (not sure of Burmese name). It consists of pork stewed in curry, ginger, garlic, & shallots, served over white rice. And David: the "Mun" in Kow Mun Gai rhymes with "Fun", not pronounced, "Moon". LOL
hello fb , in c-town there were 5 companies - in the last 2 years there are 5 more up and down grand - is it the sports near by and the bakery bao with coffee is still quite a few shops.. miss bao shops around more... el-

SOLID SOLID list guys. Just one thing, Mad for Chicken's Padak isn't that good to be very honest. Forget about being authentic (it's not), I dunno why they decided to go with the chicken tender route but it's very soggy and mediocre with the honey mustard sauce. The chain itself is pretty solid. Just a heads up. Other than that, I love most of these places. Sincerely, a fellow New Yorker.

Neither Eat Gai or Three Roosters does the Thai chicken and rice well. Tried both. Rice is comparable. Three Rooster doesn’t do a good job in their meat and sauce department. Meat is lightly broiled/ lacks that charred from the grill and sauce is on the sweet side. Eat Gai meat is better but their sauce is all over the place. Tried a few of them and flavor is one dimensional. I wanted these places to be good(not great) but I think they are meant to be just average like Chipotle, Panda Express …etc
These places are mostly just into fusion and being instagramable, not authentic, often just the look but not taste. It is like this now everywhere in the world sadly. Would not visit any of these visited locations
Hey, I was just wondering if they have beer or wines at the restraunts so that you can get drunk while you eat, then go walking fast from place to place. I used to eat pizza or pork baos to refuel and I someone would give me a beer. Lol.

Wait. Also. Now it's legal so they must apply to have the right' to own guns in NY. Thata the process, at least if they want it, the people them were able to be given permission. More. The elected ones say if they want their rights to arms lol they then have to give up their social media account in the internet for review. They have to revoke their own freedom of speech writing creativity revenue, essentially a tax proof too ,.... essentially to potentially be given per (which can be denied) to own a gun lawfully,,..which is different of the constitution. So after rights are restricted for safety, one has to compress their right to freedom of speech. No one can control it. The control of it is called censorship. The only ones that would know are the team huddle of nice ones who secretly are mean intented. That's not all. They then would be nice to the nice ones who have no secretean. That's why enter at your own risk sometimes suggests go in the other direction one hundred percent, in a suggestion. So now we the guns are legal? After people went to prison. What? Sadly alot of these places don't last. Fusion food is not too welcomed in most people. I myself don't like the experiment idea of fusion food.
