- So many people other play RPG's with their friends or family on the couch using two controllers. Diablo 3 supposed two players, but it was horrible: Diablo 4 finally rectifies that - and the local co-op is excellent!

It's so good to finally have things working as intended
I found the problem of some characters not being able to join; was due to not having completed the prologue. It seems all characters must complete prologue to join characters who have already completed it. Had a blast in co-op, spent about 15 + hours playing.
How can the second player complete the prologue please ? I'm P1 and i'm the only one able to launch the game because my wife doesn't own it. (Both PSN and Bnet account linked)...

@@iztkombi1 we've been wondering the same thing. In beta, it worked perfectly fine when I logged on my girl's xbox and I use a character created on PC. But we didn't get a chance to test if one XBOX copy of the game is enough to create two characters and finish the prologue for each of them. Given that we both have battlenet accounts linked to xbox accounts, I wonder if the game would let us start a new game one by one for each xbox account, and once we reach Kyovoshad for both, hopefully we can join split screen. Hogwart's Legacy for example has no problems whatsoever to be played by different xbox accounts on one xbox unit. Will it work in D4 for accounts linked to battle net... no idea. Do both battlenet accounts need to buy seperate copies of the game? I hope not, that'd be bitter sweet to have a cool couch coop but two expensive copies...
I'm glad the local co-op works well it just sucks that I have two friends that I want to play. More than 2 people can fit on the couch Blizzard! I miss the couch co-op gamea that supported 4 people
4 would be good, yes. But at least 2 works well now. Baby steps lol
Same here. 4-player couch co op on D3 was loads of fun despite the exploration and menu limitations.
They probably cam still 4-player menus to work by removing the paper doll and just show the equipment slots and inventory and out the stats in a separate tab.
Excellent, though one of the only videos on the subject. Would've loved something more in-depth than "Better than D3" and "Excellent". Local co-op is such a rare treat these days, especially in AAA games, which alone makes this an anticipated game, but there's still much more to be said!

I used to play with all 3 of my brothers on PS4 and we would take like a full 15-20 minutes just taking turn filtering our new loot.
So when the second player comes in, he can choose the character which was created by the first player which is the main player? then both characters progress will be under first player account?
Question: in diablo 3 there was 4 player local co op. Is there only going to be 2 player or is there a way for 4 people to play all locally in the same room?

I was specifically looking for a Diablo 4 on ps5 video to check if they fixed that annoying thing where only 1 player could access the inventory/merchant screen at a time. Thanks a lot!

Question: the Player 2 character is attached with his account or I need to create another character on my main account and the 2nd player controls them ?
Its a separate PS5 account linked to a battle.net account
@@VIIHIPPER No... Yeah I got that part, but what I'm trying to say is: Can I just hop in my brother's game, with my account logged in, or I need to log in my account separately to create a character for me and then hop on ?
@@gilmarlino2403 I had to play through the prologue solo to get it to work, but I believe that has been fixed now so you can just click the P2 controller, pick your login, create a character and off you go.
What if both players move in different directions? Are both unable to move after certain limit or does it automatically go to split screen mode? What if the other player wants to go to town, do both have to go at the same time? In Divinity Original Sin this was implemented perfectly with split screen. Even in local coop both players can go and do their own things, not tied together.
Yeah, it looks like the screen never splits - so you cant venture too far apart
@@VIIHIPPER But what happens when you get "too far apart"? Does one player get "dragged" by the edge of the screen? Or does one player get teleported to the other? How does it decide which player gets dragged or teleported? (Is it always player 2 that gets dragged or teleported?)
Where/When does the Coop starts? From the beginning or 1st city,... ?

Hi! Will want to play it on PS5 with my old lady. Can't really tell from the video, but is graphic very potato compared to PC? Does it support 4k resolution on PS5?

How does the difficulty change in coop?
Veteran was pretty easy. Does it turn into a cake walk with 2 players (twice the DPS?)
As in any party it scales difficulty and rewards to party size
I am split between pc and console.
Is ok to aim and play on consoles? My worst fears it that I dont get used to it

It's strange because for the beta I have to own a battle net account to play...and for the second player to join they have to have a battle net account as well. This is odd because u thought I just need my console account.

When I try this my son does everything battle net account creates character but then it says character is not allowed

I was introduced by a friend to this series on the PS1 port of D1, which also had couch co op. It's the best/only couch co op horror game I've ever played back then.
I really hope that the D4 devs will consider adding it on PC. 😔

We played yesterday on ps5 and the lag/rubber banding was insane. Unplayable really..

@@SaltedMallows No, just no "couch co-op" on PC. On PC to play multiplayer each player needs their own PC and copy of the game.
For years I have heard pc players go on about how consoles have nothing over pc, except some exclusives, which of late are eventually gonna be ported over. It’s comforting to see so many pc players complaining about co op. Get a console already! 😂😂

This is terrible. How are you making a video without telling people how it is?? I just tried to play with my girlfriend. We waited 40 minutes to get in. THEN have to create a random account. Then when I’m finally in she presses start. Nothing happens. She can’t join. So now I’m thinking she needs her own Xbox live account anddd a blizzard account. This is trash

This will hopefully cure my WoWLegends-Addiction! Played 11 hours straight yesterday on XSX, never had problems with waiting and stuff. This will be SO awesome! 🙂
