Hi Mandy. I've been swimming breaststroke over here in the UK for more than 10 years now and try as I might I can't go any faster so I've been watching videos on UA-cam to help me improve my technique. Out of all the videos I have watched I find yours are the best and most helpful.
Thank you for your feedback and support Jeff! I’m happy you find value in the SWIMVICE channel. 🙌🏼🙏🏼 I look forward to staying connected with you through your swim journey. Enjoy your practice and keep me posted on your progress! ✅ -Coach Mandy
Great video. Just what I was looking for. My swim instructor says I don't turn my left foot out the same as my right. Hoping these exercises will improve that. I never feel like I create resistance.
Ah yes, totally normal what you are going through. This rehearsal for your left foot will help. Practice how your knee and foot turn out versus pointing your foot feels like when practicing against the wall. This way you really feel the difference. 🙌🏼 Thank you for your feedback Betty and enjoy your practice! -Coach Mandy
Yes, definitely! Gently hold onto a wall to practice the movements. You still want to go through this in the water to create some resistance so you feel your foot press against the water. 🙌🏼👍🏼✅
Basketball and football in my earlier days lots of ankle sprains left leg is fine but my right foot and ankle are just not flexible I think I saw a gold metal breastroke winner from Great Britain who uses a different technique by not rotating his ankles I use a kickboard to practice your technique I'm thinking about taking some yoga to get more flexible 😊anyway thanks for the video Mike ✌️
iam confused at 4:01 you say feel the resistance at top of your feet and later you say button of your feet. 5:32 where should feel the water resistance? because now i feel it on the inner side of the feet almost cutting through the water.
I am naturally pigeon toed. Never could get the hang of breast stroke because I can not get my feet to turn out enough to get any power in the kick. Scissor kick didn't work either for breast stroke..
Am a beginner swimmer, and my favorite technique is breaststroke. I have a question, how long should I stay in the water after pushing forward with my leg, and should I get only my head out of the water to breathe or my chest? Thanks a lot!
Yes, great question! When learning how to improve your breaststroke, it's best to glide between 1.5-2 seconds. For breathing, it is a combination of slightly lifting your torso and head at a forward angle. Thank you for subscribing and showing your support Hussen. Enjoy your practice! -Coach Mandy

I am confused between a frog kick and whip kick.
Which is the kick demonstrated in this video?

One of my masters coaches says my knees should be touching but every video of breastroke I see the knees are not touching. Is that right?
This definitely helps however how come you're hips are out of the water this is something I need to learn to balance my posture.
