- The best known bands of the era are all featured repeatedly, both onstage and off. Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Blondie, Talking Heads, Devo, Iggy Pop and Black Flag are captured at the peak of their powers. (Chester Simpson’s technicolor image of Debbie Harry wearing the highest of heels, perched atop Twin Peaks on a windy day is a particular joy to behold.) All the old San Francisco favorites are here too: Dead Kennedys, Flipper, Crime, The Dils, The Nuns, Frightwig, The Mutants, U.X.A. and Negative Trend.

It’s great you made the trip. I’ve been following your trip to SF on Instagram also. There was an abundance of incredible noise to be shared back in the day. Going to the Mab almost every night for a few years I was lucky to see so many bands. Your part in documenting so much of it is impressive. Thanks for welcoming Romeo Void into your studio for our first promo photo shoot. Your eye is impeccable, plus you were a good coach/presence. “Smile with your eyes”. Thanks for showing up at the opening and sharing that.
We where living in a time and a place for such great music and art being created. You where always smiling with your eyes and you're such a talent that's still creating. Love U Always! Cheers!
