What I've always wondered is why Cadillac introduced the Eldorado on a body style that was already three years old. The 1954 Cadillacs had completely new bodies for 1954 including of course the Eldorado.
the parade boot is all steel with a lot of lead. the windshield washer is wrong. I believe that is a 58 bottle. and the horns are reversed mounted. and the oil filter should be mounted more forward over water pump, and the cap should be black, not orange. oil cap is wrong. Those are ford wiper arms. wrong side view mirror. inside door handles are on backwards.
@@mariateresaventresca7096 Moreover, this is Eldorado #40, VIN 35467, so it should not have a separate, in-line fuel filter. VINs up through 47038 had an inverted glass bowl filter as part of the fuel pump. And the filter material should be stone, not paper. It has fender welting ahead of the air scoop where it should not be. Other websites report that the top color was changed from the original black to white, and the body tag does not indicate E-Z-Eye tinted glass, so the windshield is wrong. There is more. RM Sotheby's reported selling this car for $440,000 in 2008, but Gooding could only get $187,000 for it seven years later. What a kick!
One of the best concept cars for buying in real live.
Only 532 cars was build in 1953 !
The name is the legend !
ELDORADO
Thank you for not putting a freaking Continental Kit on it.
