John skipped that tour and he played to a tape of John's parts and it was kinda depressing but after the show I asked him about those early Folk Imp recordings and he cherishes those moments. I got the feeling that he was more into the folk implosion than dinosaur jr. It blew my mind. When I asked about "put on your headset" I thought the lyrics we're about Elvis presley "put on your headset..the KING isn't dead yet" he corrected me and said it's actually "put on your headset the DREAM isn't dead yet" I liked the elvis story more but what the hell am I going to do? Lou if you are reading this can you change it to King?
this band is sooo good, indeed a hidden gem one of lou barlow's best works. is there any chance you'd cover some shoegaze tracks? Swirlies had some really really cool and weird dissonant chords in there music, really great
The voice reminds me of Presidents of the U.S.A. And funny that I hear there the riff, that I "invented" myself :-) The changing the power chord from 3&1 to 1&3 . If it makes a sense.
