I thought the reason why it is a bad idea to pick up a ww2 helmet would be because there could be an old rigged explosive underneath or something. But superstition, really? XD
5:39 THIS VIDEO SAVED A LOCAL PARK!! After seeing two videos about these online a year ago including this one, I recognized them at a state park and reported them to rangers. They were able to start to plan defenses!! So thank you!! Your content made a valuable difference in my area.
It's a M16 stalhelm, you can tell because of the lugs along the crown of the helmet, the use of these are for stirnpanzer plates, by the end of the war they were considered impractical. And judging by the very little damage, that would be a very worthwhile artifact to keep.
Worthwhile artifact to keep? That's a part of a soldier's burial, show some respect. Only a POS would desecrate a soldier's grave to take their helmet. They died during a war and deserve respect no matter what side they were on. I swear people have absolutely no respect these days. Imagine if someone decided to desecrate your relatives burial just for their medals or helmet that they died with. Completely disgusting and disrespectful.

They were used in ww1 and ww2, they were used in the late ww1 war, but when ww2 broke out, it was so good in the past that they started to make them again
The higher dome and the larger, more pronounced “Frankenstein” nuts on the helmet suggest it’s WW1. With the high dome it could even be Austro-Hungarian instead of German.
The first idksterling video i watched was him constantly warning the viewers, not the pick up the ashes of a deceased person, left by the lake. That's what made me engage with him.
I think if I saw a herd of manatees panicking because of something I did, I'd feel as guilty as pant-shiingly-terrified. Manatees are precious babs that're too pure for this sinful earth. At the very least, they don't deserve to suffer in this cursed timeline of ours.
I can tell you right here in far North Queensland in Australia. We don’t welcome those geckos in our house because they shit as much as they eat. 😂😂😂😂😂
Looks like an old ww1 helmet but i dont know if the bones stay in there for that long. What i do know is that plants sometimes grow their roots in the remains making an awesome but disturbing picture of how nature takes over death and decay. My opinion is i think the bones have rotten away and the plant has during this process grown its roots into the skull making it look like there is still a skull even tho its just plants who have taken the shape of an head
I agree that geckos can eat all insects in my house and they're adorable as well, but they lay a lot of black and white bombs on my curtains and all over the floor when I'm not home for a few days.
Except most of these aren't "If you see this, don't pick it up" Videos. I see an "If you see this, don't kill it", "If you see this, you should be worried", and an "If you see this, your day is ruined" Videos in this Compilation so far, and that was from half the Video I've seen as of writing this Comment.
The helmet in the beginning is clearly an Imperial German Army World War One Era Helmet. It has a different shape than the ones in use in ww2, but you can also spot it by the two big knobs on each side.
It is a WW1 M16 stahlhelm, it was introduced later in WW1 to replace the outdated Pickelhaube, the WW2 german stahlhelm was modeled after it but ditched the side bolts and shortened the height of th helmet
That's actually a world war ONE helmet (it's called a Coal Scuttle helmet aka Stahlhelm Model 1916) but 'some' soldiers in WW2 (usually second line units or home guard) still had them, but it was a surplus leftover helmet by WW2.
Imagine desecrating a soldier's burial, the kind of POS you have to be. People have no respect, this is complete grave robbery. Imagine if somebody did that to their relative who died in the war. Completely disrespectful.
I hope they reported the site so the body(ies?) could be properly interred, but that helmet is in excellent condition for being from the Great War and should be in a museum
Love the info since schools don't want to teach properly... But when it comes to jump scares, please don't immediately show spider's........ I have arachnophobia and panic immediately! Please don't do that. Just give a warning and jump scare.
Do as I do find a spot in the yard you don't use put a dollar store swimming pool out there fill half up to the brim with dirt and rock and the other half with water and add the frog eggs and forget about it frogs will grow and climb out their own I do it all the time and watch them as they grow
I think the first video is fake. The helmet is an early modell of the german "stahlhelm" which was used during WW1. Given that "stahlhelme" fromm WW2 found to today are covered in a thick layer of crusty rust this helmet looks far to clean for it beeing much more older than those mentioned helmets.
no idea about the item in the video, but it is kind of random when it comes to the quality of old uncovered items. it's 99% about soil conditions. if there is no air in the clay/dirt then the item will take way longer to decay
I thought the reason why it is a bad idea to pick up a ww2 helmet would be because there could be an old rigged explosive underneath or something.
But superstition, really? XD
I was gonna say, superstition is a pretty dumb thing. At least focus on the disrespectful part.
