- Homosassa florida fishing does not disappoint on this spring day. The inshore fishing in homosassa Florida is some of the best we have ever seen.
We started the morning out trout fishing and caught fish from the first cast. Catching a fish on the first cast can sometimes lead to bad luck but not on this day. It was the opposite it was a day of catching.
After we caught a ton of speckled trout with sheepshead and redfish mixed in. We decided to go for the Florida inshore grand slam.
We couldn't help but sight fish a few sets of redfish on our way to catching that snook we needed on a lure. Hommassa and the crystal River area have some of the best inshore and light offshore fish I have ever seen. To make this destination even better the culture and people of the area great.

We are looking HARD at coming to Homosassa the second week of August. Looking at a place called Dreamcatcher Island that looks to be on the main channel headed out of the river. Not dragging a bass boat so will have to rent a party barge to move the family back and forth.
Are you running trips? My six-year-old can't get enough of it and wants to fish. We might be interested in a couple of days if you are and would love to pick your brain about what might be accessible to us if you aren't. I'm no saltwater expert but have managed to find fish on my own in Grand Isle, Leeville, Dauphin Island and Fort Morgan. But that was fishing out of my old jet boat and it ran a lot skinnier than a rental barge will.
Just realized from your other videos you're still based in LA. I thought I heard you say on the video that Homosassa was your hometown but I could have made that up.
I have a guide service in louisiana but only fish there about 60 days a year the rest of the time I guide in homosassa. Dream catchers is a nice place in a great location and I'll be happy to guide you and your family.

You might want to wait until the third or fourth week of August, thats when the black drum start to run, you can catch practically as many as you want, or until you are too tired to reel them in anymore, these fish usually run between 10 and 50 pounds and they are a blast to catch and release.
