    It's a *stupid* ... imbalanced, flooded and unfair game...
    *That's why I love it. It's chaotic, high skill ceiling tricks, neuron actives my monki brain, expecting the worst at all times for the chance of maybe getting 1shot by a Crit or getting jumped 1vsEVERYONE, large variety of weapon choices despite being the original big daddy franchise of class based character fps games. Charging at a crowd of people with a crit Caber and 1shotting 4 people while wearing an Unicorn hat and googly bouncy eyes, taunting then dying by a backstab is as much TF2 as it gets*

      there's something about the game that encourages just
      chillin
      you can play overwatch for hours but never will you have games where both teams just get together in the middle of the map and do the conga

    Honestly. I think the community and the style of the game is the two things keeping it alive, the community because they give themselves all kinds of new ways to play and enjoy the game, and the game because (in my opinion) the style and theme are right on tipping point of being old and feeling fresh and new looking

    Good video, I always like hearing what newbies have to say about the game when they're open to actually trying to play it. Only thing I'd like to bring up with rocket jumping, is that although you had issues with actually doing it, once you get better at the game the REAL challenge becomes having enough self control to not rocket jump since it's so damn fun. Lazypurple made a video called "How it FEELS to play Soldier in TF2" and knowing when to rocket jump is a major thing in that video.

    Great video, also just as a heads up the shotgun on any class is stupidly overpowered if you can hit shots consistently dealing as much damage as soldiers rockets with a faster fire rate if each bullet hits and damage falloff isn't in affect. No really you can solo other soldiers and even heavies with just the shotgun and some movement.

    Huh, i thought it's more popular, but okay, youtube, it was surprisingly nice video
    So, my man, sandvich is good, it's even great, BUT, banana isn't any worse, just because it heals you for 150 hp and recharges stupidly fast (more than 3/4 of charge for eating animation)
    Also, try to combine weapons on other classes, like pyro (flare+flamethrower is incredibly fun and strong (examples you can see on Sketchek or even my channel), and so does shotgun), or scout (wrap assasin+flying guillotine is best choice for fun, imo), or even sniper (SMG+bow)
    Good luck with this game, and i'm waiting for more content

    • @Cristova115
      @Cristova115  Рік тому

      I tried the banana and found it useful for mostly healing teammates but since I played solo most of the time I didn't have no one to pocket me so I found easier to just have one big heal rather than small ones since eating so often leaves more vulnerable.

      @@Cristova115 thats the funny (and also ironic) part, sandwich is often used for healing teammates, but banana for solo roaming, because you rarely needs to regen more than 150hp in one sit
      Banana and chocolate works like small health pack when dropped and steak or sandwich as medium, thats only reason for separation
      OH I FORGOT FUNNIEST PART. By using buffalo steak you become more vulnerable for any source of damage, and valve doesn't even have this in description

    I don't intend to insult but I have some criticism regarding the central idea or lack thereof. The video title "The Game That Refuses to Die" implies you'd be covering TF2 and why, despate the poor state of the game, alive and kicking. Instead you explore a specific reason why the game is in said bad state, TF2's high skill floor and lack of competitive play. But then you disprove that very same reason by learning the game? I don't know what I'm supposed to take away from this video other than confusion.

  • @danisiwa

    I believe one TFTuber said it best, describing TF2 as a campfire in the void. Yeah, every so often you'll find friends in the people who pass by and chill with you, but for the most part you'll be sat alone...and honestly? This is fine by me.

  • @kayoh9364
    @kayoh9364 Рік тому

    i'm not sure i agree with the thesis here. you're conflating difficulty with mechanical depth, and they aren't the same thing. when i first booted up tf2, i didnt know what rocket jumping or trickstabbing were. but you don't need those things to be effective at a baseline level.
    improvement feels good, though, and that's where mechanical depth comes in. with a little game sense and positioning, you go from killing one enemy per round to two or three. with a little aim, that goes from per round to per life. and with a bit of mechanical knowledge, you start dominating the entire server. and with a bit of experience, you become confident enough to start playing on actual servers instead of making your own server with bots.
    funny enough, despite not mentioning it at all you do touch upon another significant reason for TF2's longevity. The community content and the characters. Animations like Pootis Engage and Heavy is Dead keep the community burning when the gameplay doesn't.

    You want to meet a challenge? You should become a legendary trickstabbing spy

  • @miraculeweep5811
    @miraculeweep5811 Рік тому

    I do like the video you've made but I think you're underestimating some options that you have (and it's understandable as you don't have much experience). There are a lot of options for the Heavy's arsenal that I do think are worth discussing:
    -You mentionned how tapping with your MInigun can actually be a worthy strat, well the Tomislav is the perfect gun for that technique as you can snipe your enemies from far away.
    -There's also the Natascha, the perfect counter to classes that have high speed (Scout, Soldier and Spy mainly) because you restrict their movement speed.
    -The Brass Beast was often overlooked because it was associated with Gibuses not using it correctly however it's actually a really good option especially when you time it correctly and know your positioning (also both the Natascha and the Brass Beast have damage reduction when your HP is low, do take that into consideration).
    -The Gloves of Running Urgently does give the Heavy a faster method of pushing into the objective. Getting speed is better than not getting speed, even while marked for death.
    -The Dalokohs Bar can also be used alongside the G.R.U to make a hidden technique called the Dalokohs Flashing: you keep scrolling up and down with the G.R.U equipped until your HP goes to 100 then you eat the Dalokohs Bar and you go back to your primary. This allows you to actually tank more hits because your HP is overflowing.
    -A little tip: if you want to hide the sound of your Heavy munching on the sandvich, you can time a voice command to conceal it. It's a little challenging but it works wonders.
    Other than those little details, I do appreciate how you have the right mindset when it comes to learning new techniques and how to actually adapt your playstyle depending on the situation. You do have the potential to make more interesting videos than the usual TF2 UA-camr (trust me, there's a lot of stuff you don't wanna know about some creators in the community, a lot of dirty laundry).

    The Tomislav is usually considered to be a straight upgrade to the minigun, for 3 main reasons:
    1. The higher accuracy basically makes up for the lower fire rate, and makes the Tomislav better at anything but point-blank range
    2. The minigun is kinda bugged, so while the Tomislav says it has -20% fire rate, it actually only has a -16% fire rate.
    3. Silent rev-up and faster rev-up time are really fantastic, and given the above 2 facts make the DPS of the tomislav roughly equal to stock, you should take the Tomi for these 2 upsides.
    Tf2 weapon stats can be very misleading, so I hope this helps :)

    • @Devoed
      @Devoed Рік тому

      I don't think the tomislav is a direct upgrade, in a 1v1 with another heavy, the tomislav is always going to be worse unless the target is far away enough for the tomislav. A bit late to the party, but if you want to get better at movement, positioning, and situational awareness, the best class in the game is Medic. No other class will teach you those better with Medic's ease of accessibility. Spy lets you see all, but he's way too hard to pick up fresh. Meanwhile, even a Medic that can't manage Uber can at least keep the team healthier than they otherwise would be, and that's the key to victory in pubs.

    I see you sticky spamming a lot as demo, and while that's a good strategy I highly recommend trying out the grenade launcher more. It's a lot more useful in certain situations and if you can aim with it you can use the sticky bombs for what they were designed for, which, by the way, is very fun to do (I have shut down multiple ubers and the feds are coming for me)

    i've put nearly 6000 hours into this game and thousands of games played, and even i still have issues on some classes (mostly demo since i main sniper.) yet its still a lovely experience to play the game.

    What keeps tf2 alive is all the newcomers that don't get deterred from the game by the "complexity" or the bot problem. It's always nice to see.

      @@fnutek3720 by less train of thought do u mean more organized like for example having specific points for each character or just generally more focused on one aspect of my experience?

      @@Cristova115 the video just felt very random, like fx you're talking about soldier, then you're talking about weapons for soldier, okay that makes sense. Then you talk about disciplinary action, and that you can use it on classes like heavy. *BOOM* now we are talking about heavy.
      There wasnt really a ending to the soldier part, and the heavy part just kinda felt like it came in like an intrusive thought. It felt like a sidetrack
