Violins fancy smancy music. Fiddles slang = other music. Sometimes some people use different strings. That guy is really tearing up that mandolin. She always uses highest quality musicians. On a different subject “The SiXsters” have dropped a new video “Same Kid “. Nice reaction as usual.
Joshua Rilko is playing the Mandolin. It is has 4 sets of doubled strings and is common in bluegrass bands.

Fiddle is traditional music. Violin is formal music. It's the same instrument. In times past there were a lot of homemade fiddles and not very good instruments, but most fiddle players in the USA today are playing decent violins. Some do set up the the bridge, and strings a bit different but it depends on their style.
Remember the taste. Violin and fiddle are the same. He's playing a mandolin on the right.
