I'm happy Sierra is finally getting recognition she deserves. I've been listening to her since I saw the video of her song "In Dreams" which was already 6 years ago.
It's been shocking to see the growth of her popularity with these last two years. I started late with her tours with Josie in smaller venues then seeing videos of them at Red Rocks. Not sure exactly when, but I wouldnt be surprised if she is selling out most of these larger venues now.
As you'll see, Sierra Ferrell (accent on the first syllable, so her name could almost be "feral"), is always great, whether she's singing her own songs, such as the two in this video, or covering songs by, you name it, Dolly Parton, Kitty Wells, Hank Williams, the Beatles, or anyone whose spirit is worth channeling. And she always surrounds herself with great musicians (she's one herself). You mentioned "Harvest Moon," so you might want to check out her version on UA-cam. You can't go wrong with any of her performances of the Beatles' "Don't Let Me Down," "Sven Spanish Angels" (she channels Ray Charles more than Willie Nelson), or "Don't Let Your Deal Go Down. She recently sang her song "Fox Hunt," in which she plays a mean fiddle, on the Jimmy Fallon Show. She recently gave two shows at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in which she reached new heights. I love seeing your reaction. She's amazing live. Her and the band have an amazing energy. So many genres combined. She plays the fiddle as well on her new album. "Fox Hunt" is incredible. Like young Dolly, Loretta, Amy Winehouse, and Patsy Cline. Her cover of Bobby McGhee is perfection.
I had the same reaction! @SierraFerrell Is absolutely amazing! Her entire collection is better and better! She also has a collab with Billy Strings! I'm sure you're going to love it! Her music has been stuck in my head since my introduction over a year ago and it just keeps getting better!

I love Sierra Ferrell. Two other of the new group of great bluegrass players are Molly Tuttle and Sierra Hull. Both have played with each other and with Billy Springs.
She' s the most interesting and talented performer out there today.
Sierra and her band are the best cowboy country bluegrass on the planet!

They are damn good... Fortunately for us, not that good. The whole Bluegrass genre is full of incredible awesome talent. Please forgive me, I'm truly not trying to step on anything you may feel. It's so hard to describe how good this band and she is (I love them so much). Let me say this.... Bluegrass has the absolute best musical talent I have ever witnessed. The cool thing is they have the best time getting together and sharing their music.

It's actually more jazz that bluegrass,but some of the band members have played in bluegrass bands,and Billy Strings has played on at least one songs on one of her albums.
I'm an over 60yo former punker from way back and I think she's one of the best vocalists to come along in decades.
Her talent has compelled me to see her live twice in the past 2 years here in Seattle (where she used to busk in Pike Place Market several years ago).
One thing I noticed at her live shows is the wide variety people attending (young and old, male and female) it's great that she is helping to create a new audience for this wonderful type/genre of music.
She last toured Australia in October of 2022 here's a clip of her and band playing at the Eltham Hotel in NSW...

Thanks for sharing that clip. So cool to see. My first listen to them was around this time period. I do hope they keep the sound of a smaller band playing in the smaller "dives".
